01/12/2025: First of all, it's unacceptable for a pizzeria to ignore the existence of the Spianata Calabra. As for the location, it leaves a lot to be desired, and doesn't offer much hope for the hygiene of the premises (and yes, there's not even seating). Furthermore, the pizzas underneath were practically charred, because the pizza chef was obviously more intent on his phone playing music than on the oven. Needless to say, I saw you scrape the bottoms of them like there was no tomorrow when you took them out.
The fact is, my partner and I ordered two pizzas last night, and today we're throwing unwanted liquids out of every place we want to go.
Thanks, Pizzeria da Caio, first and last time.

10/03/2026: Home delivery. Ordered twice. The first time was an hour late. The second time was half an hour late, even though I called at 6 PM when they opened. Pizzeria with good ingredients. The dough didn't rise much, as it's very thirsty. Price was reasonable. Overall, decent, except for the service.
11/01/2026: The pizzas are delicious, but if we order a "bufalina," we expect a "margherita with buffalo mozzarella"... But no. Pizza with shaved parmesan and arugula.
I even called back, and they told me this is the "bufalina." 😂😂 It takes a lot of courage to run a pizzeria.

26/11/2025: The most beautiful pizzeria in the world. First of all, there are these very cute animatronics that sing while you eat a tasty pizza. I also saw a yellow rabbit that was taking the children somewhere. It would be nice to see what happens at night in this place. Then I heard some children screaming with joy. The best pizzeria in the world.

The staff was rude and unwelcoming.
21/02/2026: I came to this restaurant for two nights: the food is practically all frozen and pre-bought, with practically no artisanal dishes.
The staff was rude to me and others.
On the second night, during a birthday party, people applauded the waiters and kicked out school classes on a field trip—truly awful.
I also felt sick after eating the mashed potatoes, which were practically raw and unseasoned.
1 star is too much.

18/01/2026: Situation: we have guests because we're celebrating a birthday, we call ahead and order pizza by the metre to arrive at 8pm and as usual we tell them the flavours, at 8:15pm the guy arrives and brings us 6 pizzas, I ask him but why did we order pizza by the metre and he says no, that's what's written, now I would have also brought back the pizzas but since everyone was waiting for the pizza and they certainly couldn't make it in 5 minutes anyway, and someone had to leave, we let it go, but in the meantime instead of paying €25 we paid €50, shameful.
13/01/2026: The cheese burger is shameful... 5 euros and there's nothing... a slice of cheese, a mignon burger and the usual Coop bread double the price of the burger... I was very disappointed... I went there because I remembered Big Daniel from the Maggiore hospital... a scam.. but ready in 2 minutes.... 🤣😅🤔🥲

04/01/2026: Truly a disaster!
Apart from the average ambiance and friendly staff, everything else was a disaster.
The pizza I ordered was a disaster, the edges were burnt, tasteless and everything was overdone.
They charge an additional 2 euros per place setting, which I have never seen in all my years of visiting Trieste.
We ordered without a drink but they still delivered water, which they said was included in the service price.
When I received the bill, it was charged separately.
I am attaching the bill.
I really do not recommend visiting.
Disaster!

12/09/2023: Everything is great about this restaurant that we visited several times, but always when visiting Trieste. If I had a dinner somewhere else, I would go for second dinner in Mascalzone.
I remember Rocco, the owner, who looks like Mancini, and the staff that was always on top level.
Nice, warm atmosphere and above all very tasty, simple food, prices normal.
Recommendation.
