24/08/2025: Il Saceno is a quiet restaurant where eating is a delight. It's very important that they speak Spanish, which makes ordering easier. The food is spectacular, perfect value, excellent service and decor, the wine is beautifully served, and the bathrooms are very clean. I highly recommend this place to Spaniards visiting Bologna, and to everyone.
21/08/2025: We stumbled upon this restaurant. The food is amazing and the service great. There is an open kitchen concept which adds to the atmosphere. Would really recommend. They have the typically Bolognese dish; tagliatelle ragu, but there are lots of different really tasty options! For dessert they have a really cool take on the tiramisu, but their caprese cake is also a must! At the end of the dinner there is a home made surprise. All in all 5/5

We've been regulars for years now, we love it, we feel right at home, the pizza is, in our opinion, the best and lightest of all the pizzerias in the area!!!! 04/09/2025: We recently had lunch at this trattoria/pizzeria 🍽🍕 and were definitely satisfied 👍. Arriving around 12:15, we were warmly welcomed by the staff members who, after a brief inspection of the room, showed us to a free table. Leafing through the menu, fortunately still on paper 📋 in an era when only QR codes seem to exist 📱, we noted the good variety of options, which were also very tasty. Our choice therefore fell on two first courses 🍝 (gramigna with sausage and chitarrine alla carbonara 🥓🥚), a second course (wild boar stew 🐗 with potatoes 🥔) and a side dish (fried porcini mushrooms). To drink, a bottle of sparkling water 💧 and half a liter of house Sangiovese 🍷. At the end of the meal, we also treated ourselves to a couple of desserts (Barozzina cake and Catalan cream) and two coffees ☕. Everything was truly delicious 😋 and served with kindness; the first courses were excellent both in terms of seasoning and cooking, as were the mushrooms (I would never have imagined eating them fried) and the stew (very soft and well-spiced). Regarding the Catalan cream, I confess that I was initially perplexed by the unusual liquidity of the caramel (normally congealed in the usual sugar crust); in any case, it turned out to be absolutely delicious. The setting was pleasant and well-kept (the wooden ceiling with exposed beams is beautiful), as was the atmosphere. The quality/price ratio was good, since we spent a total of 60 euros 💶. The bathrooms 🚾 were clean and tidy 🚽🧻🧴. There are some parking spaces next to the property 🚘, but there's no real dedicated parking area 🅿️. The location along Strada Statale 64 Porrettana is strategic. We liked it, which is why I RECOMMEND IT 👍. 01/09/2025: My mother and I had lunch there a few weeks ago. The service was fast, especially considering it was midday. The prices were average, but I was disappointed with some of the portions. While my mother chose a plate of ravioli that was excellent and a decent portion, I chose the tagliatelle with meat sauce for €11, the cheapest first course. They were good, but truly lacking. Considering the price hikes in recent years (when a first course would cost €8-9), it seems absurd to me that they feel comfortable serving portions more appropriate for a high-end restaurant than for a completely normal restaurant/pizzeria. I'd never been there, so I don't know the prices from years ago, but frankly, paying €40 for two for a first course each and a bottle of water, and then still being hungry, isn't pleasant. My mother also said we were still hungry after the first courses, but they seem to have missed the point.

27/08/2025: I have been going to this restaurant for a long time and the food is very good and the staff is really friendly.
14/08/2025: First of all, the mussels were very good, but this award refers to part of their core business, pizza. I had seen that they offer a pizza with whole-wheat sourdough for an additional charge. Since I bake with my own sourdough once a week, I know that whole-wheat dough can be difficult. Nevertheless, I had corresponding expectations, since they bake with sourdough professionally. Unfortunately, I was confronted with a very dense/firm and doughy crust. So either the dough needed to rise longer, or the pizzaiolo kneaded out all the airiness it had. The taste was okay, and I wouldn't order the whole-wheat dough again, at least not the one.
