01/07/2024: Excellent pizza, digestible, fast service

24/06/2024: Innanzitutto è una pizzeria dove possono mangiare le persone che soffrono di celiachia. Detto questo basta segnalarlo e loro attivano il loro protocollo e arriva al commensale celiaco la sua bella pizza fumante. Per il resto le pizze sono buonissime e ben farcite. Ottima la pulcinella (salsiccia e friarielli) e il superlativo il calzone fritto. Prezzi nella norma per le pizze classiche un paio di euro in più per le altre. Proprietario simpaticissimo. Il plus per chi ha bambini al seguito è costituito dal parco giochi adiacente. Super consigliato.

02/06/2024: Pizza buonissima, locale adatto anche alle famiglie, servizio gentile. Il titolare è cordiale e attento, sa fare il suo lavoro davvero molto bene. Bravi!

06/08/2024: If you are lucky enough to sit on the terrace the view is certainly suggestive, on the bench in the street it is a completely different thing. The pizzas are good, thin and crunchy. The service leaves something to be desired: probably the staff and the kitchen are not ready to handle a very crowded evening, and therefore you might have to wait half an hour for the pizza. However, I find it decidedly more annoying to have to wait a quarter of an hour at the cash register to pay (because the owner is also the cook) and then at the table waiting for the limoncello promised to console me for the mix-up (I don't know if it ever arrived: after 15 minutes of embarrassed waiting we left).

31/07/2024: The only pizzeria in Modena open on Mondays (the rest are completely closed). The atmosphere is discreet (a takeaway pizzeria classification, although you can eat on site) and the staff is overall friendly and kind. The pizzas costing €15 (Margherita+Calzone+Omelette) are standard although the ones I took had a much saltier flavor than usual (the cooking is done with an electric oven and not a wood one...).

16/07/2024: Friendly staff, fast service but I'll stop there. The pizza may be digestible, but real pizza is something else. I can accept this type of pizza abroad, but not in Italy. Non-existent alveolation of the dough, brownish mozzarella on the surface, sauce probably mixed with the mixer and not by hand. 3 stars for the consistency of remaining open for so many years.

18/08/2024: Ambiente ben climatizzato (ad agosto non guasta!), ristorante pieno ma servizio abbastanza veloce. Camerieri gentili e cibo gustoso. Porzioni davvero enormi e prezzo poco più alto della media ma viste le quantità ci sta. Consigliato!

04/08/2024: Tanta roba…forse troppa. 1 spaghetto alle vongole (non veraci) e 1 pacchero ai croastacei. Buoni? Cattivi? Tutto soggettivo. Di certo piatti enormi dove il rapporto pasta Vs condimento non e’ sempre bilanciato (ok il pacchero non ok lo spaghetto che era almeno 2hg di pasta) e tanto, troppo “brodo”. Il problema? O si divide o si mangia una sola portata, comunque si limita la scelta. Il doggybox non cambia il giudizio. Bella idea invece la frigliata: griglia+fritto misto, anche come quantita’. Prezzi onesti. Parcheggio poco e tutto al sole.

10/07/2024: Very nice little restaurant. The portions were large and tasty. Plenty and large of good quality seafood. We were greeted nicely by the boss and the boss was also very accommodating (he seemed a bit grumpy at the beginning, which was clearly deceptive). Everything fine. The place was also packed today.

06/08/2024: Rude service and poor food. At the checkout a "gentleman" worse than the staff in the room. Not recommended.

05/07/2024: It would be nice if vegan pizzas were offered with vegetable cheeses and not just a bit of vegetables, but I realize that the evolution towards a world without animal cruelty is slow and that Formigine is quite backwards, having said that, half a meter pizza is rubbery , while the round ones are too thin. The venue is cute.

13/05/2024: I imagined an old-fashioned trattoria/tavern, with dishes that are not very elaborate but well made, in reality it is better to heat up one of those cans they sell in supermarkets. McDonald's hamburger is definitely much better. As someone had already said: school canteen quality! On the site they advertise a price but in reality it is obviously another higher one. One star 🌟 for the very kind waitress!

11/07/2024: The pizza is good, but we made the mistake of deciding to eat it at the tables outside. We had never done it since they gave us wooden cutlery (now it cuts more than a sheet of paper), but when we asked for normal ones we were told they couldn't and the pizza wasn't served to us not even on a plate, but rather only on the lid of the cardboard box. I might even have overlooked it if only they hadn't made us pay a cover charge... embarrassing. I would therefore say only good to take away or to eat inside with the penguins.
