09/12/2025: I've known Villa Chiara for over 30 years, and I have to say, for me, there's nothing better. I haven't been there in a few years, but it's always a pleasure to return.

23/01/2026: Good pizza, but then again, Salvatore is a long-time pizza chef. It's a shame not to see innovation after so many years, and it almost feels like there's no enthusiasm left. There are lesser-quality pizzas, enhanced by different ingredients, and innovation even in the location. Standing still and not innovating is sometimes a limitation.

06/01/2026: We stumbled upon this trattoria in the Spanish Quarter, and the owner was kind enough to find us a place to dine (six people, the place was full). We've been back twice, and the best seafood dish I've ever had was the linguine alla Santa Lucia. Highly recommended. The staff is kind and helpful. Well done.

24/01/2026: Such a bad experience that calling it "dinner" is an act of generosity. We arrived with a reservation and were treated like extras standing in the background: a full hour of waiting for a table. And not just any table—the one strategically placed next to the door, which was constantly open, with drafts worthy of a train station and the line of other customers literally pressing against us as they waited. More than a restaurant, it felt like a doctor's waiting room... but without the human warmth. After an hour in the refrigerator, the second phase of the endurance experiment began: another hour to eat. A total of two hours for a meal that, in hindsight, would have been better off skipped. The food? Two unremarkable sandwiches, but the real masterpiece was the pizza. On top was a cheese that to call "questionable" is a diplomatic compliment. The flavor was unpleasant, the quality was clearly low, and the end result: inedible pizza. And it's serious, because getting a bad pizza in a restaurant is like getting a bad coffee in a bar: it's the foundation, not the fine molecular cuisine. Slow service, lack of organization, zero comfort, food quality below even the most pessimistic expectations. The only significant thing was the wait. I won't be back, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who respects their time, their stomach, and their body temperature.

18/02/2026: A lovely little trattoria! Very kind, very courteous. Good Sicilian dishes. It's a shame there were only two televisions left in the dining room in the evening.

31/01/2026: We went to this typical Sicilian restaurant for a business lunch and had a great time. We tried several dishes, and everything was delicious. I chose the spaghetti with clams, with a flavorful sauce, and for dessert, a delicious cannoli. The prices are excellent, and the staff is friendly and helpful. A place I'll gladly return to.

08/03/2026: Lured by reviews and Instagram posts, we had lunch here. We immediately got the impression of a low-key tourist spot. They don't have a wine list, and they only offer the house wine. The waiter kindly brought us the available bottles of white wine, but that selection, at the modest price of €30, turned out to be mediocre. The appetizer was a standard fare, pasta with potatoes and provola cheese, forgettable. Naples has many better places than this.

06/03/2026: The pizza is delicious...but the pasta e fagioli with mussels topped with pizza is exquisite...every time I go to Naples we go back...I recommend Antica Capri.

13/01/2026: After years of management by Mr. Vincenzo, the pizzeria passes into the hands of a boy (if I understood correctly, his nephew?) who didn't make pizzas but masterpieces, I hope he never changes.

16/10/2025: The pizza was okay. While waiting for a top-tier pizza place near Marchese to open, I decided to kill time by ordering a pizza Margherita. There's a small wall nearby, where I sat down and sampled the Naples. The pizza was okay, very okay. The sauce was a bit strong and concentrated, the dough was light and delicate, and the cheese was good quality. The price was great at €4.90. I wouldn't recommend the arancini, though. They were overly oily, and despite the good rice, cooked perfectly and seasoned well, I found them inedible because the grease dripped down my hands. Getting back to the pizza, despite the lack of certification, It's worth going in for a casual meal and devouring a really good margherita.

11/01/2026: Burnt pizza and rubbery mozzarella. I had a zeppola, but it was inedible (rubbery). Maybe I have a particular taste... Then the table cover was a transparent sheet of disposable paper, the cutlery was in a paper bag with a napkin (like a takeout), the water was in a plastic bottle and a glass cup that didn't fit in with the setting... I'll finish with a single men's/women's restroom. The place is very low, and people's conversations echo. This review is aimed at improving customer service and nothing else. Thank you.
