La Taverna Del Duca In Amalfi

Nice location, close to the main street. Little attention to the customers, as it's always busy. Food was just ok, I had the spaghetti with limone.

Nice place, but the pizza wasn't very good; it was full of mozzarella water.

I must confess that my visit to this esteemed establishment left a profound mark on my soul - though perhaps not in the way the chef intended. Arriving fashionably late at 10 PM, without a reservation, on the feast day of Sant'Andrea himself, I was - understandably - unable to secure a table. But do not feel sorry for me, for the evening was far from wasted. I was generously permitted to quench my thirst at the magnificent fountain nearby, completely free of charge. A experience I shall treasure forever. And when nature called, the restaurant's facilities were graciously accessible via what I believe was the highly sophisticated security code of 4444, if my memory serves me correctly. I was also deeply moved watching the restaurant staff working with remarkable speed and organisation, serving their guests with extraordinary dedication and efficiency. They were so impressively focused on their customers that they simply had absolutely no time to notice me whatsoever. Not even once. And I completely understand. I shall return - this time perhaps slightly earlier, and possibly with a reservation. A hidden gem. Five stars.

We were looking for a restaurant a bit aside from the crowded main street of the city to not have this feeling of a "restaurant for tourist" and enjoy the Italian cuisine. Then we found la Taverna del Duca. The food was delicious and served with good portions. We sat by the chief preparing nice home-made pasta of different types showing that this restaurant is not a "restaurant for tourists" and caring about the quality of the dishes served. I recommend highly the desert imitating a lemon that is in fact a sort of ice cream surrounded by white chocolate !

I had a beer, pizza, lemon spaghetti and tiramisu my dessert. It all delicious

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceptional stay in the heart of Amalfi! We had a wonderful stay at La Taverna del Duca and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Amalfi Coast. The location is perfect, right on the main street of Amalfi, making it incredibly convenient to explore the town, restaurants, shops, and the ferry port. The rooms are brand new, beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. The food at the tavern is absolutely delicious – some of the best meals we had during our trip. Every dish was fresh and full of authentic Italian flavors. A special thank you to our host, Alfonso, whose hospitality was truly exceptional. He was incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with recommendations and anything we needed. His warm attitude made our stay even more memorable. Thank you, Alfonso, for making our anniversary trip so special. We will definitely return and highly recommend La Taverna del Duca to everyone visiting Amalfi! 🇮🇹❤️

The place to be, open late, seafood chowder is what you come to the coast for, service was great, fast and polite, food is top notch, we visited twice during our trip just to try more!
