08/06/2025: I can't review the food or the service.... But about the environment I can say that rudeness and unavailability are their strong point. They almost didn't let us enter the place (at 9 pm!) because when we arrived, they "were too busy"... Something I've never heard of, but there were only a couple of people in front of us. It would have been much more elegant to say that there was a bit of a wait and at that point we would have chosen whether to stay or not. But you don't send customers away.

24/05/2025: My friend and I came across it by accident on our way to the airport. We were very pleasantly surprised! Fantastic service. Delicious pizza 🙂 I recommend it!!

01/10/2025: We dressed up and wanted to go out for a delicious meal. The restaurant looked really inviting. We were seated straight away. At first we weren't thirsty and they gave us a bottle of water which we didn't want, which earned us a disparaging look. Then a new waiter came and gave us another bottle of water which we once again emphasized we didn't want. Annoyed, he walked away. The third waiter took our order for pizza with bresaola and salad with buffalo. There were noticeably a lot of waiters in this restaurant, everyone was doing something different and that unfortunately ruined our peace of mind. The pizza itself was delicious, no question about it, great crust, great tomato sauce but the buffalo - I don't know, it's sooooo small you have to search for it. What a shame! I was allowed to season the salad myself. I would have loved a great dressing like orange or balsamic vinegar or honey mustard or a fruity vinaigrette or something unusual. You are served a small amuse-bouche: dough balls fried in quite a lot of fat. We didn't like it. Especially since it was served in special paper bowls, and the bread was also served in special paper bags. Why not serve it on a plate or bread basket for the sake of sustainability? A complete waste. Unfortunately, our glass wasn't clean either; a thread from the cleaning cloth or polishing cloth was still stuck to the glass, making it look very cloudy. Reasonably priced, but unfortunately rather disappointing. We had the impression that everything was hastily conjured up here, with little attention to detail. If a restaurant wants to stand out, it needs more of that, and the staff needs to be calmer.

30/09/2025: The staff is very attentive, perhaps even too attentive! They're very good and helpful, and the food is excellent, all made with top-quality ingredients.

22/09/2025: I ordered from this place after seeing the photos online, which looked really inviting. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. I had ordered a selection of focaccias specifically to try different types, but none of them convinced me: the flavors were all very bland and lacking in character. I was expecting bolder, richer flavors, but the result was rather bland. Honestly, it's not a place I'd return to.

11/09/2025: A pleasant surprise with a truly high-quality food and wine selection. Dishes are elaborate, tasty, and beautifully presented. The wine pairings are spot-on, with options ranging from small local producers to top-notch regional specialties. The service is youthful and professional. If they continue like this, a Michelin star will arrive soon.

05/09/2025: A truly high-quality experience, we chose the 6-course tasting menu, which actually turned out to be 8. There was great skill in the use of local ingredients, a great imagination in the pairings, and in the end, we left extremely satisfied. A couple of Michelin stars would have been fully awarded if only this restaurant weren't located in our far south... But perhaps it's better this way; the price isn't Michelin-starred, but the experience is!

29/09/2025: Very reasonable price for proper pizza. Great choice of dishes, friendly people. It is always busy there, lots of Italians eat there which speaks for itself.

27/09/2025: We loved this place. We felt welcomed and we enjoyed meeting the people around us and the staff was very friendly. It was nice to watch the pizza chef make the pizzas and the flavor was very good and they were hot which is the only way food should be served. We were only here for 3 nights and we ate here twice. They deserve the score they have been given and I believe they’re doing their absolute best to deliver great food and service. Give this place a try for sure!

08/10/2025: I had the classic arancini with meat sauce; it was delicious, filled with mozzarella and peas. The place is cozy, and you can also sit outside on the pedestrian street. I appreciated Filippo's kindness and friendliness.

02/10/2025: For me, these are the best arancini! The staff is incredibly attentive and helpful. Definitely a recommendation!

31/08/2025: A place that can serve Neapolitan pizzas, thinner and crispier Cosenza-style pizzas, or even Roman pinsas. Too bad they forgot to ask our preferences when we ordered. I assumed the default was Neapolitan, and... you can imagine my disappointment when I saw the crispy one arrive! To my hesitant complaints, they simply replied, "What's the problem? We'll make it again!" Correct answer! And the pizza was delicious. One of the few times the crust wasn't left on the plate. I always say that pizza is judged the next day: not only is it good, but it's also easy to digest! The outdoor seating area suffers a bit due to being so close to the road.

09/09/2025: We enjoyed going to this restaurant every evening! The service is excellent, everyone is incredibly friendly – ​​even one waiter speaks German. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the prices are fair. We tried almost the entire menu, and everything was consistently delicious. We particularly recommend the Farfalline al Salmone (pasta with salmon) and, as a highlight, the Monacelle, which is served on the house as a small appetizer – an absolute delight! We will definitely be back and can highly recommend the restaurant.

18/08/2025: Beautiful location... you can practically dine right by the sea. The peppered mussels were excellent and plentiful, and the grilled tuna was delicious; it melted in your mouth. It's not cheap, but the price is fair for the quality. Highly recommended.

19/09/2025: Dinner with an enchanting sea view in the beautiful village of Chianalea. "La Piccola Venezia" is a charming spot, perfect for a relaxing and romantic evening. The food is good quality: we tried the fish platter and mixed fried fish, followed by pizzas. The portions were adequate and the flavors were simple yet authentic. The staff was courteous and helpful. The restaurant and restrooms were clean. The tables were perhaps a little too small for four people dining at a single table. The service was very efficient. The location is truly the highlight: dining with the sound of the sea just steps away is priceless. The price was perhaps a little high for what we ordered (a fish platter, mixed fried fish, four pizzas, and only water for drinks), at around €30 per person. The menu is well-structured, but since it's obviously a pub pizzeria, it focuses on a few fish dishes and no first courses. Recommended for those seeking a relaxing dinner with a picturesque view of the Calabrian sea.
