It's happened before, just before opening, but at least they'd have been polite enough to let us sit in a warm place, given that we had 8 minutes to go.

28/08/2025: During my stay in Abruzzo, I stopped at this pizzeria to try their pizza. The staff was excellent and friendly. Reservations are recommended.

28/10/2025: We were seated at 11:18 PM, but we were booked for 10:00 PM. As soon as we were seated, the tall, blonde waitress, who wasn't at all friendly, "advised" us to opt for the pasta dishes because, apparently, the wait for the pizzas would be long, at least half an hour. A clever ploy to make us spend a lot more, since the pizzas arrived after "only" 20 minutes anyway, a perfectly normal wait for a busy restaurant. After being seated, we had to ask for at least some bread ourselves, since we couldn't order the potatoes because they were out of stock and we were so hungry, as they say in these parts, that we were almost floor-deep. To which the waitress, always very friendly, replied: "Just breadeeeee?" When we ordered the pizzas, the mushrooms were missing. Very thin pizzas... There were four birthdays there at the same time, accompanied by very quiet songs...

18/10/2025: The hotel's strong points are its quiet location, spacious rooms, its location in the historic center, which allows you to walk to the beach, and a varied breakfast included (sweet, savory, and drinks). Independence thanks to the keys provided. The train station is a 10-minute walk away, and the bike path to Varazze is nearby.

11/11/2025: I'm deeply saddened by the fact that Gigino is revolting. But what happened to Gigino's real pizza? What a disappointment, I was looking for it and comparing it to all the pizzas I've eaten elsewhere over the years. The dough...not there, the flavor...not there... Ingredients? Fresh ones like escarole, etc., are badly cut, old and poorly distributed, dry, flavorless mozzarella...meh. The dining room is too disorganized, unwelcoming, never revisited (but that's not the worst thing, perhaps the only thing that reminds me of Gigino), with too many staff, too many, and inefficient. I hope the manager reads these reviews and takes them to heart. This criticism, as a regular pizzeria patron, is meant to encourage and bring back to its former glory this jewel of our Sorrento Peninsula, which was once envied by everyone.

10/11/2025: The pizza was far from what we remembered: the dough hadn't risen properly and the toppings were sloppy. Prices were average, and the icing on the cake was the lack of a receipt and the unmarked paid parking, with a barrier at the entrance and staff who didn't provide information about rates. In short, a huge disappointment, far from the much-vaunted university experience.

The summer opening sees tables in the garden in front of the building, and the atmosphere is even better; the outdoor tables are nestled in the small park adjacent to the building, where there is also a children's playground. The food and atmosphere are 🔝! Back at the end of summer, the pizza is still excellent! The last pizza I tried (Assassina) had a unique flavor, too, with pancetta, scamorza, mozzarella, and tomato! Back again in the dead of winter. The exceptional flavors of the pizzas are absolutely confirmed! I tried a superb Provola and Speck pizza! I'm very happy to return, and I'm always pleasantly surprised! The pizzas are excellent, of all kinds. Returned to the trattoria. The flavors are excellent, and have become unmistakable to me. The tuna and onion pizza was excellent, but the other pizzas I ordered were also exceptional! Back again, with a splendid Apulian pizza delivered to the table, truly worthy of being remembered! Returned in the summer, when the outdoor area was open. Excellent flavor, excellent pizza 🍕 Always a great return! We tasted a splendid Speck pizza that puts the best Neapolitan tradition to shame. Returned shortly after our last visit. It's impossible to stay away now. The food is delicious. The staff is the friendliest and most helpful. If you come to Trebisacce, you MUST visit this pizzeria. It's always a pleasure to return! Always wonderful flavors, especially in a summer setting. Returned once again, and it's always a great pleasure.

02/10/2025: The food was very heavy and oily. But what we really did not like was that we ordered a glass of white wine and were given a very expensive one, once we ordered another one we got a different one, also expensive. Both times they just finished an already open bottle. The price we only discovered upon payment. Otherwise the service was nice and attentive, the atmosphere in the restaurant was nice.

14/11/2025: Spontini's pizza is always a guarantee: thick, soft, crispy, and satisfying! The staff are incredibly fast. The only downside is the place: it's too small, you can only sit at the tables and eat standing up... a shame.
