23/09/2025: It can be reached after leaving the main road for Alagna, a winding and somewhat narrow road, the last stretch unpaved, but still passable by car.
The agriturismo's location offers panoramic views of the hills and Lake Orta, surrounded by greenery.
It's perfect if you're looking for a cool summer atmosphere.
The menu offers what the kitchen can offer: a cheese and cured meat platter, polenta made with the daily produce, and homemade desserts.
It's a great place to spend a day enjoying nature. You can take beautiful walks starting from the agriturismo, which serves as a reference point.

23/07/2025: The food was good, the portion sizes were okay. The service at the beginning was a complete disaster. We asked about meat-free dishes, but the waitress loudly asked us how we could eat vegetarian food. The service continued to be very distant.
Unfortunately, we didn't feel welcome at all, which is why I can't give it more stars.
I don't recommend the restaurant if you want to experience hospitality. It simply doesn't exist there. Other customers there sometimes mimicked the service staff and made fun of their unfriendly attitude.
At the end, when it came to paying, they finally wished us all the best.
I can't say anything about the hotel; luckily, we didn't sleep there.

18/08/2025: The rating for the food is an average between a restaurant and a pizzeria (a mix was ordered at the table), the environment in summer is too hot and eating outside means practically being on the street, service needs to be improved.
18/08/2025: We received a very warm welcome even though we hadn't booked. The pizzas are good, the ingredients are fresh. The lemon and saffron ravioli are excellent. The staff is attentive and friendly. It's a good restaurant, I recommend it.

13/10/2025: It's always a pleasure to return to Varallo and have lunch at La Sfinge. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, the ingredients are fresh and excellent, the place is tidy and clean. I was really satisfied with my gluten-free pizza, which was truly excellent and one of the best I've ever tried. The fried fish and desserts my parents ordered were also excellent. La Sfinge is always a reliable choice, even over time.

20/09/2025: A very intimate, family-friendly place. We were greeted with kindness and a warm smile, which never hurts.
We ate very well. I'm not a great expert on Japanese food, but I really enjoyed what I ate.
Tony and his wife are very calm, unobtrusive, yet attentive people.

14/08/2025: Unfortunately, I couldn't leave a zero. We walked in, not even a greeting. I was with my family. We sat down and asked if they would come over to take our orders. We immediately noticed a lack of interest; they were taking orders from everyone except us, even though there weren't many people. We had occupied the table next to the counter. Time passed, nothing happened, and we left. In short, I don't know why, this indifference, no courtesy, and no service. We were also planning on having lunch. Honestly, I didn't have the chance to try anything, but if courtesy, friendliness, and service are lacking in a business like this, then everything is lacking. I don't usually write reviews, but this time, I was honestly disappointed. I don't recommend it.
