25/08/2024: An Hotel and restaurant with starred chef Pietro Perrone (Berlin, Lyon, Hotel Four Season in Milan). Quiet, beautiful rooms in contact with sounds and essences of the wild. The restaurant and hotel are located in the greenery of the hill adjacent to the entrance to the Sacro Monte and close to Galeazzo Alessi's triumphal arch. For a century the location has boasted hotel organizational capabilities but its origins date back to the seventeenth century. I had lunch with several guests and everyone had an excellent and classy welcome. In the wonderful patio, carefully assisted by Mrs. Angela Perrone, Director and Owner who leaves nothing to chance with rare management ability, the service has always been rapid and accurate, from times gone by. The aesthetically attractive dishes are curated by the international masterchef Pietro Perrone, fresh from experience in the international field from Lyon to Berlin and last but not least at the For season in Milan. It deserves to be known and to return, a hotel surrounded by nature perfect for relaxing and taking away stress. 06/08/2024: Let me start by saying that we didn't stop to sleep but to have lunch, we had lunch with the menu of the day, risotto with parmesan, and roast meat and chips, it was a choice that went beyond expectations, everything was excellent, very kind staff, low cost, highly recommended

23/07/2024: Ci siamo stati durante la festa dell'Alpaa. Abbiamo mangiato due pizze che giudichiamo accettabili ma nulla di più. Gradiamo le pizze sottili ma queste erano croccanti e l'impasto era carente di sale. Simpatico il cameriere che ci ha servito. Prezzi non esagerati.

31/08/2024: Spinta dalle recensioni positive sull’aperitivo originale e abbondante, decido di chiudere un’incantevole giornata al fiume con la mia compagna in questo pub. La sorpresa sgradevole è stata che l’aperitivo consisteva in una bruschetta con pomodori. Basta!! Abbiamo chiesto qualche patatina per attutire l’alcol ma ci è stato risposto che loro le patatine non le hanno.

30/07/2024: Happened by chance. I didn't say I wanted the macchiato with foam so I could basically drink it through a straw. Oh well my fault. I stain myself. I ask for some sparkling water to remove stains and they give me a whole bottle costing 1.20 euros. Is it my fault in this last case too or do they not pay attention and kindness to the customer?

30/06/2024: Simple but nice place. The staff is very kind. The products are of superb quality, excellently cooked. Also recommended for those who, like me, have celiac disease. I also recommend this place for corporate parties and dinners. The outside with the paddel courts offer fun and well-organized entertainment. Highly recommended!!!

06/01/2024: Per me è una garanzia. La location è intima ed il servizio è educato e solerte.
E' un posto ideale per regalarsi una coccola. Utenti che lamentano ritardo nelle portate, altri il prezzo del coperto.... non avete capito l'identita' del locale. In primis sfido a trovare un ristorante che oltre ad un assaggio di pani differenti a km0 con abbinato dell'olio toscano di alta qualita', nei 3 Eur di coperto vi offra un entree di piccoli assaggi gourmet. I tempi di attesa alle volte possono essere medio lunghi, pero' ci si siede per gustare un buon bicchiere di vino, per godere dello scorrere del tempo guardando fuori dai vecchi vetri delle pareti in legno, è un locale che invita al dialogo e non a cronometrare le performance culinarie.
La carta dei vini offre buoni prodotti a giusto prezzo, con bottiglie entry level di qualita', oltre ad una scelta adatta a qualsiasi occasione, dalle bollicine ad un rosso importante. Il menu' stagionale denota la passione dello chef per la cucina, e per quanto concerne i prezzi...vi invito a provarlo, se alcuni secondi vi sembrano cari non avete visto il piatto servito per rendervi conto del fatto che sono quasi portate uniche. Qui c'è amore e c'è mestiere.

26/08/2024: Con la nuova gestione si attesta come il bar più caro di Varallo (1,70 il cappuccino, idem la brioche) senza che quanto offerto sia migliore che dalle altre parti). Sono sparite le tovaglie (lavarle era troppo "sbatti", o un investimento considerato eccessivo?). Inoltre i simpatici passerotti che questuavano qualche briciola, cui noi clienti eravamoabituati da anni, sono spariti, tutti, nel giro di pochi giorni. Una piccola estinzione di massa. Non voglio insinuare che i nuovi gestori ne siano responsabili, perché non ne ho le prove, però la coincidenza mi angoscia parecchio. In ogni caso, Idea Dolce ha perso un cliente affezionato.
