10/01/2025: We went in to get something hot. Without even giving us time to all sit down, we immediately had to order. After a few moments our order arrives as follows: cold coffees, almost ice cream I would say, hot tea without tea, since we were only served a cup of hot water. Upon our request to have a tea bag, we were brought a saucer with the tea bag, but without the protective wrapping. Toilets without the possibility of drying your hands. It seems to me that there is nothing else to add.

02/11/2024: Nuova gestione, aperitivi molto scarsi, stuzzichini praticamente inesistenti, bicchieri rotti, tempi di attesa per due spritz lunghissimi nonostante la poca gente.vivamente sconsigliato.

01/02/2025: Along with slightly salty polenta and sausage, the risotto creamed with walnuts was really good. Warm environment and Christmas atmosphere! Inside there is also a small "shop" with objects of all kinds to give as gifts during these holidays! Excellent choice

08/12/2024: Nice and intimate place, new, clean, in the center of the village. Staff a little cold but efficient even if the cutlery was never changed, placemat and paper napkin, food, apart from the truly spectacular vitello tonnato, almost all tasteless. The menu was the fixed one from the markets and seemed promising. The tuna of rabbit was tasteless, watery. The risotto alla toma, despite the two teaspoons of parmesan added at our request, was al dente but absolutely bland in appearance and taste. I saw almost complete dishes coming back from another table. We ate it because we were hungry like we eat plain rice at home but it wasn't a restaurant dish. The second course was lightly salted meat, the polenta seemed pre-cooked and was cold, the broccoli gratin was ugly to look at but at least it was tasty. The desserts... the panna cotta, of the right consistency but not sweet. The morsel of pandoro (fried?) which no longer tasted like pandoro, completely distorted, to be dipped into a single bowl of slightly too frothy eggnog. I'm really sorry to write such a negative review but we all agreed at the table on the lack of dishes. Bad day? Maybe. However... the portions are right, the bread at the table is scarce but it is to avoid waste and if necessary you can request it, the price would also have been correct. Good coffee. It's really a shame about the cuisine which didn't satisfy us.

08/12/2024: Per la festa dell’Immacolata ci siamo recati in questo grazioso locale storico della Val Vigezzo, naturalmente prenotando con anticipo per non avere cattive sorprese. Ci siamo fidati di conoscenti che hanno garantito e non possiamo che confermare l’ottima scelta. Sin dalla prima occhiata al menù, abbiamo optato per il "menù dello spazzacamino " (euro 28 compreso vino, acqua, caffè torta e digestivo): un piatto di affettati con sottaceti, una bella e bollente ciotola di polenta e funghi, ottime fette di formaggio nostrano ed una invitante torta di panelatte. Porzioni il giusto. Personale squisitamente gentile. Servizio eccellente.Locale molto pulito e ben tenuto. Che dire.. uno splendido pranzo da consigliare a voi tutti che vi fermate a Santa Maria Maggiore!

26/01/2025: The site specifically says DOGS ALLOWED. When we arrived on site, however, we were told that the dog could not enter. Serious shortcoming, we specifically booked here because we had read that dogs were allowed. In 2025 the Google pages of the venues should be updated correctly. Not recommended.
