06/05/2025: Very suggestive location but to be reached with a short, slightly steep walk. Local created from a skilful modern renovation of an ancient castle. Beautiful. Cuisine that tends towards the refined but with traditional Piedmontese origins. Excellent wine selection.

27/04/2025: Posto davvero bello, nei resti di un antica rovina del castello, con una bellissima ricostruzuione conservativa. La cucina è molto particolare e ottima. 1 opzione vegetarisna per ogni pietanza. (Nulla di vegano). 2 primi, due secondi e acqua 70 euro. Ci tornerò volentieri.

24/05/2025: We happened to be there during the Meliga Day festival and had lunch like we hadn't had in a long time. The veal with tuna sauce, the agnolotti with roast sauce, the braised meat with nebbiolo on polenta and finally the bunet were a magnificent sequence of flavors. We came back to celebrate our birthday, 16 of us, we ate very well and the guests were all happy. A guarantee of quality!!

07/05/2025: Raramente mi capita di scrivere recensioni ma l'Osteria dal Merlo merita un voto super. Ci sono capitata per caso con un'amica e abbiamo condiviso vari piatti, uno più buono dell'altro. Prodotti di qualità e sapori che si amalgamavano tra loro, esaltandosi a vicenda. Anche la carta dei vini è ampia e non ci ha deluso, nonostante abbiamo optato per una soluzione economica. A corona di un pranzo che definirei perfetto, la gentilezza e simpatia del personale che ci ha consigliato e fatto sentire a nostro agio dall'inizio al conto.

20/05/2025: I celebrated my graduation at this beautiful restaurant. 40 people all happy and satisfied. Excellent food, friendly staff, spectacular location. All managed by the very sweet Monica, very available to requests. Absolutely recommended!

13/05/2025: This restaurant deserves 5 stars for the welcome, the good food and the location. The restaurant is elegant in its simplicity and is the ideal place to celebrate important events, there are large and welcoming rooms. I celebrated my daughter's Communion and the staff made the day splendid thanks to the service. Available to also arrange wedding favors and a confetti table. A special thanks to Monica for making us feel at home. Also try their breakfast on Sunday morning.

02/05/2025: I went there specifically because the sandwiches are also gluten-free (I'm celiac) but I thought it was possible to eat a side dish too. In many places they have maybe two fryers and in one they only fry the chips... The beer was good but I was a little disappointed...

22/04/2025: Splendid brewery under the shrine of San Michele. The beers are very good, some very particular like the smoked one or the hemp one.

13/05/2025: A nice pub where you can dance, but perhaps it is more suitable for those who come from the various surrounding villages, not for those who come from the city. You can find people with children in tow, up to pensioners. You have to like an environment like this otherwise you get bored. Good beer at only 6 euros. Recommended

01/06/2025: I was there today for lunch. I may have been unlucky, I don't know, but the roast veal with potatoes I ordered was the most unworthy thing I have ever eaten in my life. The meat was indescribable for how disgusting it was: tough, raw and with a horrible taste. Worthy of the worst discount store. I told the waiter and he replied that he would report it to the kitchen. No one came to ask me for explanations. I'm very sorry but it's unforgivable. I'm responding to the restaurant owner's reply. I'm glad the waiter reported my complaint to you, since he talks about "waste" (at this point I'm sorry I didn't take a photo of the dish though). What I'm sorry about is that you didn't come to ask me for explanations after receiving my complaint, since you did receive it. And since we're on the subject of advice, I advise you, should a complaint arise again, to ask for explanations IMMEDIATELY and not pretend nothing happened. In addition, I recommend that you review some of your products, because in my opinion they are not worthy of the location and the price paid. I hope that this review of mine, which is obviously the result of a completely personal opinion and experience, even if very negative, can be of some help to you to improve. Finally, the "keyboard lion" could have been spared, since my complaint was reported to you in person and I am certainly not writing this review behind an anonymous profile.
