10/01/2025: Review for the restaurant. Om 'd Fer is the result of a well-done renovation of an ancient medieval castle, located in the center of S. Ambrogio and right on the road that leads to the Sacra di S. Michele. The place is very beautiful in the view it offers and in the contrast between the stone and the windows; the room is warm and the tables are far apart from each other. We were also very happy with the food: beautiful proposals, good quality of the raw materials and excellent preparation techniques. The starters are the highlights, with refined flavors and in perfect harmony in their combinations; the former also excellently made and balanced in taste (only some doubts about the quality of the prawns used); the second courses were also good (with the exception of the pumpkin with fondue which I didn't particularly like). The Barbera is also excellent. Overall I would give 4.5 on the food, with a fifth star which I don't feel I can give for three aspects: 1) Courteous service, but detached and never with a smile, almost intimidating (this was pointed out to me by more than one diner) 2) The portions on some starters or main courses seemed too small to me (first courses all ok) 3) At a table with 10 seats and 400 euros for lunch, they charged a 1 year old child €2 cover charge for the mere use of the stool to sit at the table: for the series "how to get lost in a glass of water ". Note: If you bring a cake you will be charged 1.50 per person for cutting.

15/02/2025: Locale molto curato gestione professionale tempi d'attesa nella norma (il locale era pieno 14 febbraio) Da segnalare che abbiamo trascorso la serata in compagnia di un bravo maestro che al pianoforte ci ha intrattenuto con tanti pezzi famosi sia italiani che stranieri è stato davvero piacevole mangiare con la sua musica. Per quanto riguarda il mangiare in definitiva abbiamo mangiato bene antipasti e primo decisamente buoni purtroppo non posso dire lo stesso del rollè di vitello che era duro a tratti persino croccante poteva essere soggettivo fatto sta che la tavolata era del mio stesso avviso, Invece il dolce come il vino è stato molto apprezzato. Prezzo forse un po' alto ma ci sta' visto l'evento e comunque ci ritornerò perché il locale a mio avviso merita.

19/01/2025: Passeggiando con i miei genitori un pomeriggio ho visto l insegna di questo locale e mi sono detta che appena possibile ci sarei venuta con mia moglie. Oggi è quell"appena possibile"! Posticino piccolo e raccolto sulla strada che attraversa S.Ambrogio,location vintage e curata. Menù della tradizione piemontese fatto di antipasti,pasta fresca e carni tipiche delle nostre parti. In due abbiamo provato un po' di tutto e a tutto abbiamo fatto"scarpetta". Ingredienti di grande qualità e personale squisito nei modi e nel sorriso( che x me è parte del piacere di trovarmi lì). Prezzi giusti per la qualità proposta. Consiglio anche se non si ha più fame il bunet al caramello salato:crema dipendenza. Sicuro che ci torno.

07/01/2025: What can I say: a stone's throw from home we have this pearl. It promises traditional Piedmontese dishes to which the name "Osteria" suggests that, in addition to being delicious, they are also well prepared. Just like the food, the environment and the service are also taken care of. Discovery of the evening: Baratuciat white wine, very local from Val di Susa! Highly recommended!

01/02/2025: Il cibo è buono e il personale davvero molto gentile . Il pesce pare cucinato molto bene e la combinazione dei gusti sia nei primi che nei secondi . Peccato il locale veramente brutto , basterebbe poco per aggiornare l’arredamento . Capiamo che non c’entra col cibo ma ha il suo perché .

28/12/2024: Di passaggio troviamo su google questo ristorante un pò nascosto, pranzo veloce con menù non banale, la finissima di tonno è buona e stuzzicante, il primo con funghi speck e zucca è originale e pieno di gusto, il coperto a due euro è parzialmente giustificato dalla tovaglia e tovagliolo di stoffa 30 euro a testa solo con acqua e caffè
