30/11/2025: This is a special place, found by chance; I kept returning throughout my short stay in Galliate. It's unusual for someone coming from a big city; there's an old-fashioned atmosphere. Once upon a time, you'd seek out the excellent trucker trattorias just outside the city center, and this one has something similar, even though it's right in the center: simple home cooking at rock-bottom prices and a friendly couple running it.
Unlike the local competition, where you pay for the set menu regardless of what you order, here, if you only eat a first course and side dish (I don't eat meat), you only pay for that.
The Torino flag behind the counter is a plus.

25/04/2024: Bar gelateria storico ubicato in pieno centro a Galliate, impostato come arredo e come servizio in stile anni 80; i prodotti presenti in menù infatti mi ricordano quanto veniva proposto in quel decennio (soprattutto per quanto riguarda la gelateria, con tanto di banana split, uova al tegamino e varie tipologie di coppe guarnite secondo lo stile dell'epoca); Comunque i prodotti sono buoni e di qualità, e questo è l'importante. Io ho preso un'ottima crepe alla nutella, di dimensioni molto abbondanti. Buono e cortese il servizio, prezzi nella norma.
