28/02/2025: It's very sad for the owners who have always put effort and dedication into it, but now it's in the hands of 3 slackers. Zero service. Actually less than zero since whatever is asked seems to distract them while they play in their bedroom. The most adult, therefore also the least justified, is a rude, braggart. Better not to do table service if you have to ask for everything every time and I'm not talking about the moon, but about the teaspoon and sugar when they throw coffee on the table. Or maybe they don't take the glass from the edge to bring it to the customer who will have to drink from it, after they've been out smoking and messing around with their friends. Cleanliness, a distant memory. I repeat, I'm very sorry for the owners. Maybe they should choose better staff, and given the level, that's not a good thing.

20/02/2025: l'unica cosa dolce in questo bar sono le brioche, il barman antipaticissimo. Prima volta che siamo venuti, non ci torneremo più.

17/03/2025: Chi entra alla “trattoria del ciclista”, o è per puro caso (ma non è così facile da trovare) o perché vuol provare un’esperienza vecchio stile, un’immergersi in un’atmosfera surreale e fuori dal tempo. Io, dopo diversi anni, ci sono tornato per curiosità, abbasta preparato a quel che avrei potuto trovare e avrei volentieri pagato anche solo per quello. Nei giorni feriali, per pranzo, c’è un menù fisso, con un po’ di scelta tra quello che hanno preparato, a 13€ e, se possibile, accettano qualche richiesta.. bisogna contestualizzare per quello che si paga. Ho captato qualche frase degli anziani proprietari e li ho trovati divertenti, probabilmente sono parte dell’ambiente da una vita. Io ho scelto un risottino ai funghi (ben cotto ma un po’ sapido) e il piatto tipico di Borgomanero, il tapulone (carne trita cotta col vino), che ho apprezzato, finendo con un buon caffè. Per la spesa non posso certo lamentarmi, ma ripeto.. bisogna sempre esprimere i giudizi considerando, ambiente, contesto, spesa. Questo luogo può piacere o no: personalmente sono grato che posti del genere ancora esistano.

17/03/2025: Those who enter the "cyclist's restaurant" are either by pure chance (but it's not so easy to find) or because they want to try an old-fashioned experience, immersing themselves in a surreal and timeless atmosphere. After several years, I returned out of curiosity, quite prepared for what I might find and would have gladly paid even just for that. On weekdays, for lunch, there is a fixed menu, with a bit of choice from what they have prepared, at €13 and, if possible, they accept some requests... you have to put it into context for what you pay. I heard some phrases from the elderly owners and found them funny, they have probably been part of the environment all their lives. I chose a mushroom risotto (well cooked but a little savory) and the typical Borgomanero dish, tapulone (minced meat cooked with wine), which I appreciated, finishing with a good coffee. As for the expense, I certainly can't complain, but I repeat... judgments must always be made considering the environment, context and expense. You may like this place or not: personally I am grateful that places like this still exist.

14/01/2025: Small central bar, not located on the streets and therefore outside the restricted traffic zone, therefore always reachable by car. The seating is limited, but the counter is large due to its considerable length, over which the surface dedicated to customer consumption is well distributed. External area with other seats, excellent in summer, with hedges on 3 sides to obscure the view from the outside, to protect customers' privacy. You can't order food, but it's an excellent café and the breakfast is always top-notch: try the Moroccan coffee with Nutella shell and freshly squeezed orange juice. The staff alternates between a man and a woman, quick and apparently of few words but very professional, polite and informed on all products, including tobacconists, given that they additionally offer this useful service with the presence of vending machines for hours outside outside the opening hours of the venue.

05/03/2025: Usual food, large car park, service however below the average of the MC line, I have gone there several times and the service is slow, they get orders wrong etc. We need to work on it.

22/02/2025: Nice and helpful manager.... we went for breakfast and will be back tomorrow morning due to the friendliness of the owner. I just hope I can get some brioche before running to the gym for the Carnival Cup :)

08/10/2024: Old place with a bad smell, the coffee was served to us hot and not tasty at all. The waitress served the man first so the basic rules are unknown. At the checkout a lifetime to pay by card. Rejected.

01/02/2025: Capitati per caso, ci ha veramente convinto la loro cucina, il locale piccolo, ma molto curato in ogni particolare, la loro cantina molto rifornita e soprattutto la professionalità mista ad una cordialità di sottofondo, che ti prende per mano e ti guida verso piatti stratosferici. Un menu che trovi scritto su una lavagna a muro con 3 antipasti, 3 primi , 4 secondi e 3 dolci. BASTA. Poi ci pensa la cucina a far uscire meraviglie di ogni sorta. Impiattamenti curati, accostamenti di colori e sapori unici, esperienze insomma , di gusto Esempi....la tartare di fassona battuta a coltello con Castelmagno (e che Castelmagno!) ed insalata di puntarelle, il tentacolo di polpo in doppia cottura ed insalatina, il tortino di topinambur su letto di patate, o il carciofo al Seirass su letto di patate, zafferano e cialda di parmigiano Primi......gnocchi di ricotta, ravioli con ripieno di stufato, risotto al grana padano con quaglie....I secondi vi basta il cosciotto di agnello su letto di patate schiacciate all'olio? Per ultimo vi dico solo l'ultimo dolce preso....il tortino di cioccolato fondente con salsa di lamponi e mango. Ci siamo stati più volte in 5 giorni a Borgomanero, e ci siamo ritornati visto che dovevamo ripassarci stando attenti che non fosse mercoledì sera o giovedì tutto il giorno (chiusura) È davvero un luogo in cui gustare il piacere di una cucina attenta, precisa ma con un'amore verso il territorio e la scelta delle materie prime e sapienza nel prepararle, unitamente alla cortesia dei ragazzi in sala, con tanta gentilezza, presenza non invasiva ma pronti a venir incontro ad ogni richiesta. Ci torneremo. Ancora...ancora

23/11/2024: Purtroppo un po’ deluso Antipasto di polipo cotto forse su griglia sporca di bruciato? Risultato odorava di bruciato già appena arrivato al tavolo e infatti presentava una crosta bruciata ed amara che ho dovuto eliminare Risotto buono cottura giusta ma non hanno portato il formaggio anche dopo richiesta Dessert: Bonet, buona Piatti ben presentati

20/10/2024: We took two one meter pizzas with two flavors each, given the price of 62 euros we expected it to be up to par. Instead it was poorly prepared, some parts were burnt and others were undercooked, it was poorly seasoned and dry.
