09/05/2026: During the hot air balloon rally, we found a table at this restaurant through Google, and I must say it was a great find! A modern venue in an ancient setting, located under the porticoes of the square in front of the Vicoforte Sanctuary. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Traditional dishes with a modern twist, quality ingredients, and an excellent, wide selection of wines. The tagliolini with mushrooms were truly delicious, and the appetizers and desserts were also excellent. Definitely worth a try.

I had the gnocchi with Castelmagno cheese, delicious!
I recommend eating on their outdoor terrace, which overlooks the sanctuary square.

01/05/2026: I had the pleasure of dining with friends at Albero Fiorito restaurant in Vicoforte, and it was a truly enjoyable experience in every way. The restaurant is perfect for an evening with friends, with a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. The cuisine offers traditional local dishes, all prepared with great care and quality: from ravioli and tagliarin to rich and flavorful main courses such as wild boar, beef shank, and a truly excellent veal with tuna sauce. Everything we tried was tasty and well-crafted, with authentic flavors that showcase the local area. The service was impeccable: the staff were very kind, friendly, and always available, making us feel at ease throughout the evening. Prices were fair and perfectly in line with the quality offered. An ideal place for a dinner with friends: highly recommended!

24/03/2026: It was our second time there, but unfortunately, this time we were only half satisfied. There was a long wait, even though it was 10:35 PM and everyone else had been served. We waited over 35 minutes. The dishes were rather poor, the cold cuts with the panfruta were not of the highest quality, and we paid €12 for a half-liter of wine. Let's be patient, let's hope the third time is more satisfying. Mauro

27/10/2025: While searching for a venue for our wedding, we were captivated by Il Groglio, both for its sheer beauty and attention to detail, and for the mastery of its wonderful hostess, Nicoletta. After an initial quote, we immediately received the right attention and guidance from Nicoletta, who immediately won us over and clarified our few, confusing ideas with her professionalism and experience. The venue immediately offered us multiple options for an indoor or outdoor reception, a more dynamic or elegant setting, and adaptable to any weather (which was no mean feat for us, given that we were getting married at the end of October). We received countless compliments on the dinner menu, the aperitif, and the wine selection, as well as on the enchanting location. We are extremely satisfied! Nicoletta was able to captivate us with her attentiveness and accommodate our requests! Highly recommended!

The entire staff was extraordinary: professional, attentive, and capable of making the day dynamic and exclusive.

25/04/2026: We did the museum experience with tasting and lunch for €40. We were very impressed by the explanations the lady gave during the tasting, which were more detailed than those we've heard at any other chocolate museum we've visited. You can tell she's the person who created and works there. The menu was very interesting, with cocoa influences that didn't overpower the flavors and paired beautifully with everything. Excellent value, considering it's all-inclusive (water, two wines, chocolate beer, coffee), and you eat a lot of it. The staff were very friendly. Truly top-notch. Perfect location, very close to the sanctuary.

17/01/2026: We only had New Year's Eve dinner, and I have to say it was a perfect evening. The place was obviously packed, but the service was fast and attentive. The girls were always available and smiling. The food was excellent and varied. At the end, since we wanted to go to the square for midnight and not spend it at the restaurant, a very kind lady gave us a bottle of sparkling wine before we left. These things make all the difference.
13/01/2026: We celebrated New Year's Eve at the hotel, only for dinner on New Year's Eve 2025. The dinner was not good at all. The price was good for New Year's Eve, and the quality/price ratio was poor. I wouldn't recommend it for New Year's Eve. Only the food.

18/04/2026: If you don't want to go to the motorway service station, come here, the prices are the same. In fact, at least at the motorway service station you spend the same amount of money eating. Here, however, I paid a fortune for two ice creams. They cost less on the coast in Savona. They don't see me anymore.

09/04/2026: There are three bars in a row, this one has the least crowds of all. Find out why.... Acidity in speech is the order of the day. The coffee served tastes like dish soap. The pastries may be good, even very good—I've tried them once before—but the atmosphere is gloomy thanks to the treatment they give you.

26/04/2026: Excellent restaurant! The dishes are carefully prepared and all delicious, from appetizers to dessert, served with care in beautiful rooms, and the location is stunning with a stunning view!
Pleasantly secluded and easily accessible by car, with parking available. The "Landandè" trail passes next to the restaurant. Aperitifs are also served outdoors in the shade of the trees. There are also spaces for children to play on the lawns.
A great experience! Compliments to the owner and chef Matteo Balbo and the staff.

22/12/2024: Visitato oggi dopo aver prenotato al telefono in settimana.
Locale accogliente ,caldo e pulito .
Menu a prezzo fisso( onestissimo ) ricco ed abbondante,e tutte le portate, già di per sé generose ,sono state offerte almeno 2 volte .
Ottimo cibo ,genuino, in un ambiente famigliare .
La polenta con i porri ,l' arrosto con i funghi e le tagliatelle col sugo di coniglio ,indimenticabili.
Torneremo presto .

Purtroppo non mi sono accorto che il locale è su due pagine diverse.
Infatti ho fatto la recensione
al ristorante San Marco di Silvio Bessone.
Non mi sto più a ripetere e pertanto, chi fosse interessato a vedere il mio commento può andare a leggerlo lì.
