21/06/2025: Locale elegante e molto curato. Cucina italiana di qualità. Possibilità di mangiare sia nella sala interna che nel bellissimo deor esterno, perfetto per un pranzo estivo o una cena romantica. Torneremo sicuramente!

05/05/2026: I had found and saved the name of this osteria while searching for must-see restaurants in Piedmont. And thank goodness! A wonderful, and delicious, discovery! Unfortunately, we hadn't booked in advance, so they seated us at the only free table at the entrance, and I couldn't see the main dining room, which is located beyond the stairs. But the atmosphere, the friendly and professional service, and especially the chef's menu, overshadowed everything else. We ate divinely! The tajarin with ragù were the best of the entire holiday, truly special. The dessert (puff pastry with chocolate and raspberries) was a true culinary experience, even though I only had one bite! I would have liked to try everything, but the portions are generous, and after one appetizer and one first course each, it was more than enough!
The chef approached us at the end of the meal, and it was lovely to meet him and chat with him. Highly recommended.
30/04/2026: I discovered this restaurant on the "Cosa mangiamo oggi" website. I had high expectations, and they lived up to them. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, the dishes were incredible, beautiful, and delicious, and you couldn't miss the pure cream. I wouldn't be surprised if a red sign appeared on the side of the door sooner or later. Well done!

12/04/2026: Highly recommended! Excellent value for money and truly quality cuisine. The cheese tasting with grape must jam was truly special, congratulations!! The hazelnut gelato was AWESOME, and the coffee served with Baci di Dama biscuits. Everything was perfect.
09/04/2026: Excellent food, freshly prepared, with a breathtaking view. Delicious pasta for the kids. Excellent value.

Fast and excellent service.
Excellent wine and food.
A must-see if you're in the area.
06/04/2026: We visited on Easter Monday, and despite the restaurant being packed, the service was attentive, courteous, and fast. We were satisfied with the Piedmontese cuisine, and more: a platter of excellent cured meats, a delicious veal with tuna sauce, and a light and satisfying Langhe salad with lamb's lettuce, walnuts, pears, and cheese. Everything was washed down with a nice glass of Arneis.

The menu is simple and informal, the dishes are delicious with an emphasis on the taste of the ingredients, the experience. The friendly and professional staff further enriches the experience, with useful recommendations for dishes and wines.
The menu is based on local Piedmont specialties, prepared with an emphasis on tradition and seasonal ingredients, while an impressive selection of wines from the Fontanafredda cellar (from the enoteca located within the building) perfectly complements each plate, if we add to all the above a very fair price-quality ratio, this place is definitely worth a visit if your trip takes you to the beautiful Langhe region

18/08/2025: Good morning, today, my mom and I visited this restaurant for the second time in Serralunga d'Alba. The first time was for a quick coffee, but today, after visiting the castle, I really wanted to go. It's hard not to eat well in Piedmont, but today I was proved right with other dishes I tried at this restaurant. Before entering the streets leading to the castle, we found this restaurant. I immediately loved the hospitality and the simplicity of the dishes—in this case, the traditional approach—with which they prepared everything. We started with an exceptional and beautifully presented Fassona beef appetizer, followed by rabbit as a main course, served with potatoes and steamed vegetables. Finally, we finished with an exceptional hazelnut cake served with vanilla ice cream, all accompanied, of course, by a delicious 2021 Barbaresco. A top-notch lunch at a good price considering the general price increases, but above all, I want to emphasize the friendliness, professionalism, and helpfulness—things that can't be taken for granted these days. We have a small dog, and they kindly brought us water on a very hot day. At the back of the restaurant, we have a beautiful terrace overlooking the Langhe. I highly recommend this place and hope it stays open, since from what I understand, it will be closed due to internal issues. I hope they resolve the situation and that this restaurant, which for me is a symbol of tradition and good Piedmontese cuisine in Serralunga d'Alba, remains open. Thank you, and I hope to see you again.

28/03/2025: Oggi abbiamo fatto un giro nelle Langhe e ci siamo fermati in questo paesino molto carino e, su consiglio di amici, siamo stati a pranzare in questo locale.
Ottimi piatti, ancora meglio il tortino di nocciole, buono il barolo e il barolo chinato.
Prezzi medio/alti ma una grande qualità nei piatti.
05/03/2025: Wunderbare Lage neben dem alten Castello. Kleine Speise Auswahl aber tolle Qualität. Dafür ist die Auswahl an Wein und Champagner überraschend groß.

23/02/2025: Ero già stato in passato in questo locale, ci sono ritornato dopo parecchio tempo ed è sempre al top, cibo di ottima qualità, porzioni abbondanti, ottimo vino di loro produzione e prezzi assolutamente buoni.
Il servizio è ottimo, il titolare è una persona molto gentile che si intrattiene volentieri con i clienti

03/02/2025: Siamo entrati in questo ristorante e siamo stati subito accolti bene. Cordialità è la definizione che darei al servizio che, anche se familiare e magari un po' semplice, ci ha fatto molto piacere. Ci sono stati serviti 6 antipasti, 2 primi, secondo e tris di dolci che con acqua, vino buono, caffe e digestivo a 40 euro me lo fa diventare un buon posto dove puoi mangiare senza molte pretese. Molto buono e rapporto qualità prezzo eccezionale

04/05/2025: Il primo posto diventa ci siamo fermati appena arrivati nelle langje, ancora prima di andare nella struttura ricettiva. Ragazze molto simpatiche , purtroppo non so il nome della ragazza che ci ha servito al tavolo, ma è stata molto disponibile a rispondere a tutte le domande che le abbiamo fatto, essendo la prima volta nelle langhe. Siamo poi tornati una secondo volta. Grazie mille ragazze per la vostra simpatia e gentilezza. Buon lavoro , buona bici, buon tutto
03/05/2025: mi dispiace dissociarmi dalle recensioni positive degli altri utenti, ma la mia esperienza non è stata così favorevole. Mi sono fermato per un pranzo veloce nel mio giro nelle Langhe in questo ristorante. La location è bella su un terrazzo all'ingresso del paese ed il servizio è anche attento. Il punto dolente è nella qualità del piatto che ho scelto tagliatelle al ragù di fassona che sinceramente ho trovato al livello di quelle servite in una mensa. Anche il primo scelto da mia moglie non è stato di gran livello. Per due primi, due calici di vino e due bottigliette d'acqua abbiamo pagato 54 euro, un prezzo non eccessivo se la qualità fosse stata buona. Probabilmente una giornata storta che ci può anche stare.

14/10/2023: PESSIMO, UN TEATRINO RIDICOLO. Ho avuto la pessima idea di pranzare in questo ristorante stellato, ma la mia esperienza è stata assutamente deludente. Il prezzo elevato non sarebbe stato un problema se il cibo avesse retto il confronto. Purtroppo, la cucina sembrava essere stata relegata in secondo piano in favore di un'esibizione teatrale dei camerieri.
Piatti costosi e incomprensibili erano presentati come "arte gastronomica", ma la realtà era ben diversa. Gli ingredienti di qualità sembravano smarriti in una confusione di elementi decorativi. La danza incessante dei camerieri era uno spettacolo inutile che sostituiva la sostanza della buona cucina.
L'unico aspetto autentico di questa esperienza era la delusione. Il prezzo elevato era un insulto, non un indicatore di qualità. Questo ristorante sembra aver dimenticato che il cibo dovrebbe essere il protagonista, non la fuffa circostante. Una beffa costosa che disperde i veri sapori della cucina delle Langhe e prende di mira i clienti che cercano autenticità. Non ci tornerò mai più.
