17/12/2024: What can I say? I felt catapulted into a parallel dimension. A Sunday lunch with 5 starters, 3 first courses, 2 second courses, 3 desserts, water and wine (of quality!) in bottles for €25. Non-obvious menu, not the usual Piedmontese dishes "from the tourist menu", all cooked to perfection. The furnishings are varied and casual, as are the sets of plates and cups. You find yourself whatever happens, in a random room among many, with the usual tablecloths, the waitresses dressed as they like, and during the Christmas period some even have reindeer horns. The doors are wrapped with bows and the upholstery is so kitsch as to be touching, as are the furnishings in the dated furniture that decorate some nooks. If you travel to Turin, for €25 you can eat a dish, including cover charge and water. What more could you want? I utopically hope that a place like this never closes.

06/01/2025: Epiphany lunch, they let us know that they have opened the place for the holiday, since Monday is normally closed. The positive notes end here, underlining the courtesy and helpfulness of the staff in the room. Alas, we immediately notice the slowness in setting up the table, in taking the orders, of the presence of a minimal menu with very few courses to choose from, without the possibility of ordering pizza... “Because this is an extraordinary opening.” Finally the first course arrives with a good trio of starters and followed by, after a long, long time, the tajarin with sausage ragout which unfortunately was overcooked. In the end we didn't feel like ordering any more main courses or even dessert, fearing we would have to stay in the restaurant overnight. In short, reading the other positive reviews I must deduce that we stumbled upon a particular day with understaffed staff compared to the places to be served. Really a shame, because with today's experience I can't recommend the place.

06/01/2025: Complete disorganization 😞 😞 We were 10 people and had booked for lunch. Since 7 people ordered the appetizer as the first course and 3 people directly wanted the first course, the waiter ensured that the first course would arrive at the same time. After an hour of waiting, the three people who wanted the first course are still waiting while the other 7 have already eaten 😞 Not happy in the end, while I finally ate the first course, the second course also arrived, forcing me to eat piecemeal to prevent the second course from becoming cold 😞 Experience to forget and their excuse was that they are usually closed for lunch 😞 how sad 😔😔😔

12/12/2024: Excellent welcome. the young staff of this place welcomed us and quickly arranged the tables and chairs. Good solution proposed for an aperitif with wine of your choice and abundant assorted platter.

23/09/2024: A travellers experience: This is the place in Mondovi, where the people with style and big hearts are meeting. Facinating experience to sit here for hours. We came by bicycle and the daugther of the owner gave us a present of her father: Yellow bike caps. It means a lot to us to experience this culture, this people, the oppenness. I fell in love with the place, the cute people who run the place, the ambiente, the food. 5/5 and totally recommended to all travelling people and beyond.

03/12/2024: One of the worst experiences I've had. The food is fine but the service is terrible... the waiters run around the room, there is terrifying chaos and it isn't long before, with the plates still half full, the waiters greet us with "you're done, we can take away ?" .... when I go to a restaurant or any place I want to enjoy the moment and spend a couple of hours in peace, if I have to come to a place like this it's better to eat at home or a cold sandwich.. never again..

01/12/2024: I was in this "place" just today, a quiet Black Friday Sunday. We go in to eat something, there are 5 of us sitting at the table, two of us would have normally eaten the other stuffed sandwiches or pizza. Very rudely the first waiter tells us that if we want sandwiches we eat them standing at the counter because they only make "restaurant dishes" at the table. The second waiter tells us that "well, I don't know if they told you that, okay, will you order?" The third waiter, probably given his unkind manner, told us that we were now seated and could order everything. So let's place the order. A large salad, a seafood cannelloni, a slice of pizza, two stuffed sandwiches and a drink. The fourth waiter arrives with the "food" and with all the rudeness that reigned in him literally slams the plate on the table with the stuffed sandwich and tells me the exact words "the sandwich and good breakfast", obviously disappointed by the fact that I had taken a sandwich and not a plate of pasta. Let me start by saying that there was no sign specifying that certain things should be eaten while sitting and others while standing. For your safety and to avoid gastritis, run away from here, rudeness is their best course, let alone cannelloni! Ps: the cannelloni were yellow and completely acidic, we preferred not to elaborate! Conclusion: escaped after half an hour. Never again!

06/01/2025: Local Risto Pizzeria.. quite clean, very kind dining room staff.... but as a pizzeria I give a 5 because I ordered a pizza alla Diavola... not compliant with the traditional European recipe. (i.e. it was seasoned with just tomato, chilli powder and Mozzarella....) so either I ate a Pepononcino pizza....

09/01/2025: We had lunch twice, the first time because we were passing through, the second time we went on purpose. The place is always full, it is advisable to book. You can eat traditional Piedmontese cuisine without spending much. The service is impeccable with no long waits despite being full. The ladies who serve are very kind.

28/12/2024: Dated restaurant, friendly service, limited choice of dishes, disappointing starter with 2 thin slices of veal tonne (good), 2 slices of salami, mushroom salad, ham, artichokes and mayonnaise (... oh well) and 1 very thin, useless and cold omelette. 1 heated risotto (a little) with sausage and radicchio without flavour, 2 soft braised meats, not bad, but 2 thin slices with chips and cooked carrots (these are also cold...), 1 amaretto pudding, 2 forgettable coffees and 1 mineral for just under 40 euros. Experience not to be replicated.

02/01/2025: ci siamo fermati per un aperitivo ed una cena. locale carino, un po' rumoroso ma gestito da giovani veloci e simpatici. Buona la scelta menu per la cena; buoni prodotti e cucinati ottimamente. prezzi nella media.consigliato.

28/12/2024: The three stars for the good pizza dough. Unfortunately, the service, despite the pizzeria being two-thirds empty, was not the best: at least 40 minutes to have the hamburger after the pasta and baked potatoes, 20 minutes to receive them pale, lukewarm and soggy, without a drizzle of seasoning and aromas (considering that they are already cooked and it takes little to brown them). On the phone, to add seats, I was treated rather badly, apart from the courtesy in the service. Apart from unsatisfied requests which may be understandable because each place can decide what to do, the service, as I said, leaves something to be desired, especially when you see that they are not understaffed.

06/01/2025: I had lunch in this place today, during the Epiphany, looking for some local pizzerias, since we come from outside (Ligurian coast), when we arrived we asked for a table for four. We ordered some pizzas: one speck and brie, one American, one tuna and a devil. The pizza was good, even if it doesn't justify the €10 each, considering the not gigantic size of the pizza. In addition to the pizza we ordered desserts (meringues) which were equipped with chocolate topping. The location was not optimal, I recommend some touch-ups to the interior paintwork and a little more decoration. The service was friendly and always interested in the customer's concerns.
