17/10/2024: I ate dinner at the restaurant. I did not stay at the hotel, but will look into rooms here on my next visit to the area. I had the most wonderful fresh crab dinner here! The service was warm and friendly, my table was beautiful and comfortable, and the FOOD was spectacular. I have lived in cold and warm water locations with excellent fresh crab and shellfish. Sapore di Mare lived up to its name - I think this is possibly the best, most flavorful crab I have ever eaten. The wine and dessert (the local ice cream speciality) were also wonderful! Gracie Mille!

24/09/2024: We were not staying, we only went to eat so I only value this experience. First, important, we have been out of season, at the end of September, so I imagine that attention may change. In our almost she has been very good, attentive and close. It may seem peculiar that the manager sits down with the diners to take note of the order and suggest the menu, but that attitude makes it closer, it may seem more or less correct, but that depends on taste and as I say, out of season without the restaurant full it will be perceived differently. The suggestions were spot on, the service was very good and the food was excellent. The sappore di mare antipasto was great, it included an exquisite capponata. The correct mixed frying (fritto di misto), not greasy at all. And the tuna (tagliata di tonno) is delicious. The only bad thing is the access, which is on the road and just like the Sicilians drive, you have to be careful when crossing.

08/01/2025: Cena squisita! Ottima accoglienza. Piatti squisiti! Abbiamo ordinato spagnetti allo scoglio per due: porzione abbondante e super condita. Moscardini in umido e insalata di polpo fantastici! Infine tiramisù ottimo!

05/11/2024: Ci siamo fermati per cenare in questa piccola e accogliente osteria, nel centro storico di Sciacca. Locale rustico, accogliente, gestito da due persone gentili. È sembrato un po caro, visto che eravamo in due e l'unico piatto più abbondante è stata la pasta con gamberetti, cozze e vongole dove c'erano più bucce che pesce

09/11/2024: Abbiamo ricevuto il messaggio da parte della moglie del l’oste che ci invitava ad assaggiare il menu dedicato al tartufo. Siamo andati con amici i piatti di carne erano strabilianti ma l’uovo con tartufo bianco è stato il piatto che non dimenticheremo facilmente,un plauso a Chiara per l’ottimo consiglio sui rossi che abbiamo bevuto. Conto 90€ tutto a base di tartufo direi perfetto.

26/10/2024: We have been going there for years and we still love it, the refined and sophisticated cuisine. Menu of 6 seats. Delicious and not to spoil anything, exceptional service provided by his wife who is very attentive to detail. And to top it all off, the chef himself who takes the time to tell us about his dishes, takes us back in time, the period when our parents and grandparents cooked with passion and love. My mouth is still watering just talking about it.

23/03/2025: Lovely place immersed in the greenery of the Valley of the Temples, everything creates a unique atmosphere. Here you will find traditional cuisine, excellent quality-price. We will return in the company of friends!!

12/11/2024: Terrible Sunday lunch experience leaves one wanting little appetizers and poor first courses inedible zero atmosphere. Empty place there was only me and my wife who asked if we can make a fish menu and another meat menu the owner said it's not possible so we settled for two fish menus. My plan was to spend a Sunday in a restaurant I would have preferred him to tell me it was closed since no one was there

13/10/2024: Essendo rimasta molto soddisfatta la primavolta, con mio marito abbiamo deciso di ritornarci! Questa volta abbiamo optato per il menù fisso di pesce. È stato tutto buonissimo e di ottima qualità. E prezzi molto onesti.Il personale di grande gentilezza. Confermo che sia la pizzeria che il ristorante sono ottimi. Lo consiglio vivamente.

08/09/2024: Nice location on the sea as expected. Terrible service, the waitress looking fed up and condescending asks us what we want to order without offering us the dishes Giorno or the fish of the day which are instead offered to the other two tables who we later discover are regular customers. We order the sweet and sour sardines, many of which are good, and a green salad. That We are served "house" oil in a cruet unlike the other tables where "good" oil is brought in a bottle. What a lack of style and rudeness to make distinctions between customers!! I believe it is one of the first rules of catering and education. I'm sorry for the very kind owner who unfortunately didn't serve us!

08/09/2024: Location carina sul mare come da aspettativa. Servizio pessimo , la cameriera con aria stufa e di sufficienza ci chiede cosa vogliamo ordinare senza proporci i piatti del Giorno o il pesce della giornata che invece vengono proposti agli altri due tavoli che dopo scopriamo essere dei clienti abituali . Ordiniamo le sardine in agrodolce, molte buone e insalata verde . Quella Ci viene servito dell’olio della “casa” in un’oliera a differenza degli altri tavoli a cui viene portato l’olio “buono “ in bottiglietta. Che caduta di stile e maleducazione fare distinzioni tra i clienti !! Credo sia una delle prime regole della ristorazione ed educazione . Mi spiace per la proprietaria molto gentile che però sfortunatamente non ci ha servito !

26/12/2024: Abbiamo fatto aperitivo in questo locale in riva al porto. Prezzi bassi rispetto alla media, diversi stuzzichini offerti e servizio gentile.

04/12/2024: Great location and clean rooms, well equipped and above all friendly and helpful staff. Appreciated the gifts (beach bag and branded bag) delivered at check in. Excellent extra services. However, I recommend furnishing the rooms in a more "island" way and checking the position of the beds in relation to the air conditioning.

03/03/2025: Excellent trattoria, excellent quality food, abundant with good prices. When I go to Agrigento I will certainly stop here

28/01/2025: Mussel soup (frozen) with watered down sauce and.... fennel 😬 Grilled swordfish.... raw in the center Grilled rubber squid Very expensive bill...I haven't paid that much even in renowned restaurants... NOT RECOMMENDED!!!

04/11/2024: Abbiamo cenato in questo affascinante ristorante il cui affaccio sul mar mediterraneo è intervallato dalle dolci colline con le verdi vigne senza soluzione di continuità fino all’orizzonte. Il sapiente e competente sommelier Dragos ti abbina i vini che meglio aderiscono organoletticamente al cibo che vai a degustare. La brigata opera in cucina in perfetta armonia ed elabora piatti sintesi di tradizione locale ed innovazione creativa. Cialde di melanzane con gelato di provola ragusana; tartare di seppia nel suo guazzetto; crostino con la galletta al nero di seppia e mousse dei suoi fegatini ; l’umile merluzzo nobilitato dal caviale. Insomma grande armonia e sobrio stile Planeta in ogni oggetto ed in ogni scenografia. Ho messo 4 pallini perché quella sera lo chef Angelo Pumilia era assente, perché i piatti mi sono stati descritti in modo superficiale e perché c’era poca luce sui piatti. Ritorneremo.

11/10/2024: We enjoyed a lovely dinner at La Foresteria - food and service were very good. Between the four of us we enjoyed some lovely pasta dishes (spaghetti with scallops or with sardines), the cuttlefish starter (Seppia) and a lovely lamb main course which had a very tasty kofta on the side (Declination D'Agnello). The wine list was one of the most comprehensive I have come across and showcased the many wines that Planeta produce - we enjoyed a bottle of the Santa Cecilia Nero d"Avola which was fabulous and probably the most enjoyable wine we tasted whilst in Sicily. We shared a couple of the desserts, being the lemon meringue and honey ice cream, which were ok but not quite to our taste. They were also expensive at 20 euros per dish. Service was good - professional and helpful but could have been a little more friendly. The bill came to 386 euros (including service) which was the most expensive dinner we had during our nine days on the island so a lovely meal but it is expensive and you will find better value elsewhere.

10/11/2024: It's a shame that we arrived and found the room in the dark. As if they weren't waiting for anyone. However, the pizza is good and the service sufficient.

16/10/2024: Tasty pizzas, nice location, especially the terrace is nice. Operation is one big chaos. Waiters walk around together, not really knowing what their job is.

06/01/2025: Mi dispiace non avere fatto le foto; antipasto della casa ottimo, primi a base di pesce strepitosi nella qualità e quantità, idem la pizza. Staff cordiale e disponibile, festeggiavamo un compleanno e ci hanno omaggiato il servizio torta (portata da noi) e inoltre ci hanno offerto una bottiglia di Santero, anche le pizze ottime. Straconsiglio a chiunque si trova a visitare Montevago. Grazie ancora per l’accoglienza !
