09/05/2026: We booked well in advance in the afternoon.
We arrived at the restaurant after a 40-minute drive, but we didn't have a table.
We stood for about 15 minutes before they found a free table, despite our reservation.
Once we were seated, after half an hour, we didn't even have glasses, and despite repeatedly asking, they served the next table first, which arrived after us.
Rude staff.
The place is so crowded that they can't manage it, causing such inconvenience.
A disgrace.
Never again.
16/04/2026: A truly beautiful B&B with a view of Porto Empedocle... the owner is very kind and helpful, a wonderful person!!! Top-notch cuisine, very high flavors and quality, very good!

18/12/2025: Beautiful restaurant and, above all, excellent service. Kind and friendly staff. Great respect for each other. Excellent value for money. Impeccable at lunchtime, but if you want pizza in the evening, sometimes you have to wait up to an hour for service. Maybe they need more pizza chefs? I don't know. In any case, even while waiting, the atmosphere is so cheerful that a little wait is fine.

13/06/2026: I've been coming here since I was little, and for me, this pizzeria is a guarantee. Excellent pizza, friendly staff, and a welcoming atmosphere. It's nice to see that, after so many years, the quality has remained the same. Highly recommended!

30/07/2026: Capellino di Ortigia is one of those places you discover almost by chance and then happily recommend... recommended by our hotel staff. The atmosphere is pleasant and has its own character, reflecting the authentic atmosphere of Ortigia.
Professionalism is accompanied by a warm and spontaneous welcome, without excessive formality. You can sense their passion for their work and the attention they pay to each guest, with a touch of humor that makes the experience even more enjoyable.
In the end, you leave satisfied, with a smile and the feeling of having found a genuine place, where expertise and friendliness coexist in perfect harmony.

24/04/2026: We had pizza and delicious wine with it, all at incredibly good prices. Opens at 7 pm. Very friendly staff and a pleasant atmosphere. We'll definitely be back. By the way, they also have pizza picolo, which is smaller.

30/06/2026: The venue is a bit deceptive: every evening, the entire square is taken over by a show with live music (quite enjoyable), and seating arranged in an amphitheater-style configuration. Often, most of the seats are empty, despite the concert being enjoyable. The reason is immediately clear. If someone sits down for five minutes to listen, a waitress swoops in like a vulture to demand the mandatory drink: a bottle of water isn't enough, but you need at least a 33cl soft drink for €5 (like a chinotto or something similar) or a soft drink. In that case, beware of the unlikely non-alcoholic beverages. If they also offered something more interesting like ice cream or granita, it might make sense...

13/06/2026: Do trust the other negative reviews on here if you like tasty well cooked food.I wish I've read them prior to eating there. One of the worst meals I had in Agrigento. Fantasy plate was nothing more than deep fried food ( most likely from frozen) that contained almost microscopic prawns,some pieces of some kind of fish, two pieces of baby octopus and courgette which was soggy. Tried spaghetti carbonara and was nothing nice about that either. Looked like scrambled eggs mixed with spaghetti and pancetta. Sometimes the service enhances the meal ( especially if food is not very good),but I can't even say that here,which is very surprising as previous experiences showed a very welcoming and good service...,not here though. Food is at a decent price compared to others ,but I guess sometimes that saying is true: you get what you pay for.
