Il Vicolo In Agrigento

Contrary to other negative reviews we enjoyed a very pleasant evening here. The howner was warm and welcoming. Very friendly as we conversated the best we could with my limited Italian. We were seated near a table occupied by a group of older gentlemen. I'm assuming local friends who are friends of the owner. They also treated us very warmly. We enjoyed some light conversation and laughs while waiting for our dinner to be served. The wait time was not long, something we were not concerned about anyway. We were in no rush and were very comfortable with the Italian slower pace of life. Slow down, don't rush and enjoy the moment. The setting is beautiful in a quaint alley with romantic lighting. Though food, although not the best we had on the island was still quite good. We had no complaints as we enjoyed our meal. The only downside to our experience was like others mentioned that the owner insisted we pay cash, no card. It was a good thing I brought enough cash with me this evening otherwise he would have had no choice but to accept my card as I'm sure the card machine would magically work again if there was no other choice of payment. All in all we did enjoy our visit. The owner was kind, the food was above average and the ambiance was spectacular. A solid choice while in Agrigento.
