14/07/2025: I had an unpleasant experience with this restaurant, not so much because of the dinner itself (which I attended anyway), but because of the way the phone calls and communication were handled. I called to politely ask if it was possible to bring a small dog. The response was vague and, in my opinion, unwelcoming. When I specified that it was a French bulldog, I was told in an annoyed tone, "It's up to you if it's small." This approach struck me as unprofessional and not in keeping with the kind of hospitality expected in a restaurant setting. Furthermore, during dinner (Saturday, July 12th), we encountered a small mix-up on the bill: two dips were listed as €20, even though the menu listed one for €8. It could have been a simple mistake, but clarification would have been appreciated. The menu could also benefit from greater clarity on some items: for example, "sea bream in Vermentino" could be interpreted as a whole fish, but we were served a fillet. More precise wording would avoid misunderstandings. I would, however, like to highlight the courtesy of the wait staff, especially a blonde lady with glasses, who was very kind and professional. I'm sorry to read the owner's response to my review, which contains personal judgments and harsh accusations. I won't respond to the merits, because I believe every customer should feel free to share their experience without fear of offense or insinuations. Personally, I believe a manager should respond to criticism with balance and respect, not with personal attacks. A certain tone doesn't offend those who receive it, but perfectly describes those who use it. I'm writing this review not to "damage," but to highlight a situation that, I hope, can help improve the service offered.

23/08/2025: I chose this place from the photos, by chance, while looking for a restaurant in the center of Desenzano for lunch on a rainy day. We entered this magical space, which is covered but feels like an outdoor dining area. It's meticulously designed, with a rustic yet refined feel. We ordered gnocchi alla sorrentina and a seafood first course with fresh pasta. The rating was...fair. The gnocchi were good, bathed in a very flavorful sauce, but with very little mozzarella, not blending in with the rest, as the recipe calls for. However, with the delicious bread they offer and all that delicious sauce, I made endless mopping up the sauce. The seafood first course was apparently good, perhaps a little too oily. Then I ordered grilled vegetables, but—probably my mistake—I expected them to be already seasoned. Instead, they arrive freshly grilled (grilled vegetables disgust me when they're hot) and with salt and oil on the side. Oh well... I was dreaming of those delicious side dishes with garlic and parsley, cold and flavorful (I think they could be made both ways and let the customer choose how they like them, but hot and plain absolutely not; freshly seasoned hot vegetables are truly awful). Then I had a crème caramel that seemed homemade, and I really enjoyed it. The service was efficient and very friendly. The bill was a bit steep, in my opinion, compared to the food. The ambiance, in my opinion, is the restaurant's strong point.

17/08/2025: We dined at this restaurant and were pleasantly surprised. The outdoor seating is located in a charming courtyard. The dishes are generous and of excellent quality. I recommend the tagliolini with pesto ragù; they are truly excellent.

02/06/2025: Spinti dalle recensioni positive abbiamo scelto questo ristorante per un pranzo domenicale in visita dalle parti del lago di Garda. Tutto decisamente ottimo, dagli antipasti (abbiamo preso un tris di tartare di pesce) al primo consigliato dallo chef, rigorosamente a base di pesce. Nota di merito anche per il dolce, fresco e fatto in casa. Servizio preciso, consigli accurati sulla scelta del vino e dei piatti. Qualità-prezzo molto buona avendo mangiato pesce fresco: un antipasto, due primi, due dolci e una bottiglia di vino per 55€ a testa.

15/05/2025: Pranzo di lavoro a 18€ con a scelta anche piatti di pesce; bello e accogliente il locale, personale gentile, tovagliato di tessuto, ottimi i paninetti di vari gusti serviti tiepidi.

24/05/2025: Ristorantino semplice ma curato in cui già in passato avevamo mangiato bene. Il menu di pesce di lago ci ha deliziati. Perfetto il vino proposto. Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo. La cortesia e professionalità del personale è un plus (non si trova facilmente una addetta alla sala così solerte e gentile). La simpatia travolgente del gestore fa il resto! Arrivederci a presto! Ora è sempre…Rombo di Tuono!

10/04/2025: Cercato (e trovato) un ristorante per cena e chiacchiere con amici. Piatti ottimi, pesce di lago servito benissimo, primi di buona qualità. Consigliato per mangiare bene senza “spendere” per la vista lago - anche se il lago è letteralmente a due passi!

14/06/2025: We went there for dinner with another family. The staff was friendly, the food was okay, but the portions were rather small. It wasn't good value for money. It was our most expensive dinner of the week, so unfortunately it wasn't good enough, but it was still okay.

29/05/2025: We had an Aperol Spritz and a Cannoncini, both very reasonably priced. They also offered free snacks like chips, nachos, dip, and olives. I got a very positive impression 👍🏻

15/07/2025: Siamo passati tante volte davanti a questo ristorante ed ho sempre pensato di volerlo provare. Avevo ragione! Abbiamo mangiato bene, in tranquillità, accolti e serviti con cortesia e vista lago. Pesce fresco, buon vino e conto adeguato. Siamo già stati due volte e ci torneremo presto!

22/06/2025: Durante un mio soggiorno per lavoro, mi è stato consigliato sia come ristorante che come pizzeria. Nel mio caso ho optato per la ristorazione. Cibo buono, personale molto cortese, ambiente discreto. Consigliato!
