Impeccable service, excellent quality products, and a value that, in our opinion, is the best on the Riviera di Ulisse. Special thanks to Alicia, who accompanied us throughout the evening with great professionalism, courtesy, and attention. It was a true pleasure and we will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

05/07/2026: Yesterday we went to this restaurant, which we found by chance. It was one of those dinners we'll never forget, it was so good!!! I think I ate one of the best seafood salads I've ever had. My boyfriend had the raw fish of the day, which was a true explosion of flavor. Everything was delicious! I only regret not taking photos of the dishes, but the presentation was wonderful. The staff was super friendly and truly skilled, congratulations to everyone. We'll definitely be back!

13/08/2026: For us who have had a house in San Felice for 20 years, it is difficult to find a better place than this to enjoy a splendid dinner.
12/08/2026: Having been unable to find a table near the Circeo port, we ended up at this restaurant for fish. It was a disappointing experience. The location was awful, a large room decorated in 1980s style, so chaotic that you couldn't even talk to your neighbors. The fish was good and well-cooked. The portions were small; my scialatielli were just a taste, and I left still hungry. The prices were absolutely excessive; a simple first course like spaghetti with clams costs €25, more than at the restaurants near the port, and in a location like this, it's definitely not worth it. I'm giving it 3 stars only because the fish was fresh, but for me, it's a fail and I won't be returning.

25/10/2025: I'm sorry I returned this summer after three years. They're always kind and accept dogs, although it's best to leave them indoors if possible.
Indoors, given the outdoor layout of all the restaurants in the port, with tables too close together. My rating is based on the dishes served. I think they've changed the chef and the recipes.
The pappagico appetizer was much larger in portion size and also included a few more dishes. The fish was definitely fresh, but tasteless. It was flat. Nothing stood out to differentiate the flavor. The biggest disappointment was the pappafico risotto, the dish that made me fall in love with this restaurant. What I was served was completely different: a seafood risotto, poorly made, with a sauce that the original didn't have, and soaked in oil, like you wouldn't find in a diner. Truly awful. I don't dispute the freshness of the fish, which I couldn't appreciate so much as the flavor was masked by this disgusting and sickening sauce. So heavy that it couldn't be digested all night. It's a shame the risotto al pappafico was in something else and will make me cross this restaurant off when I'm in Circeo. It's not a question of price—I don't review what's available—but of taste. It's a real shame I don't know I can taste real risotto pappafico anymore.

05/08/2026: I've been a customer at Trattoria Il Grottino for almost 20 years now, and I can assure you that I've always had good food.
The food is excellent, and the service is courteous and attentive. The experience and friendliness of Marina and Federico, the restaurant's owners, complete the overall image of the establishment.
The restaurant definitely deserves an excellent rating.
02/08/2026: We loved this traditional trattoria for its amazing fresh seafood, atmosphere and setting in the centro storico. The owners said it has been in their family for 3 generations and it seems like a well loved local. We booked ahead and our family were seated promptly but there were people queuing later on in the evening.

09/08/2026: The fish quality is average considering the area. If you order something off the menu, ask for the price. We ordered a generous portion of shellfish Catalana, and they brought us a simple shrimp Catalana (6-7 shrimp max, no other shellfish) for €70.00. The menu also included an octopus Catalana for €22.00. We raised this issue with the waiter, but they pretended not to listen.
27/07/2026: We dined at Mariolino with fairly high expectations, but the experience was mixed. We ordered fried seafood, which unfortunately we left almost entirely on our plate, as well as the mussels (we were told they came from Lake Sabaudia), which we found to be flavorless. The linguine with lobster, however, was decidedly better: well-prepared and tasty.
The service also left us perplexed: the staff was apparently friendly, but during the dinner they seemed inattentive and almost annoyed.
Overall, an experience with more shadows than lights. The linguine deserves a positive rating, but the other dishes and the service didn't convince us. Three stars.

16/08/2026: The food was passable, but the service was decidedly unacceptable.
We ordered an appetizer of raw oysters, scampi, shrimp, and tartare.
They only brought us the tartare and shrimp, and then the waitress arrived with the first courses.
When we pointed out that the oysters and scampi were missing, meaning we still had to finish the appetizer, the waitress, holding the pasta in her hand, replied, "The pasta is ready now, so take this; the oysters are ready."
I think it would have been better if they had kept the pasta warm for us just long enough to finish the appetizer, rather than taking the time to tell me, the CUSTOMER, when and what to eat.
Obviously, we asked for the raw oysters to be removed from our order because we didn't feel like eating raw oysters after a first course of lobster and shellfish.
Despite everything, we still ordered second courses and dessert because we liked the food, but not even when it came time to get the bill did anyone apologize for what had happened.
I want to clarify that I'm not a food critic, but for a €300 dinner, being treated like this just because we're in a tourist spot is unacceptable.
15/08/2026: Excellent fish. Fresh. Quiet atmosphere. It's a go-to place every time we come to Circeo. Prices are reasonable.

03/08/2026: The restaurant itself is decent, despite the tables being on a slope. The problem is the service; they made us wait an hour for our starters, and the food was poor. The prices are really, really high. The person taking our order got it wrong about three times. A truly terrible experience, not to be repeated.
03/08/2026: Sloping tables, for five appetizers and five entrees, the fish of which was worse than the all-you-can-eat sushi on the top list of the NAS, and a dessert, we paid €300. The waiter definitely needed a hearing aid (no offense to the deaf, who would have surely gotten a better order), he got the order wrong three times, endless waits, pure disorganization. Now I understand why people would rather wait for a seat at the restaurant next door than eat at this place. Never again.

23/07/2025: Sembra di cenare fuori dal mondo, nel pieno centro storico di San Felice Circeo (ma al tempo stesso in un punto riservato). Che dire, cibo squisito, dall’antipasto al dolce. Il tutto accompagnato dalla simpatia del proprietario e dalla gentilezza del suo team.
Consigliatissimo!!
17/07/2025: La qualità del cibo eccellente e il rapporto qualità prezzo ottimo ! Cercavamo un ristorante tipico e siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti, l’atmosfera era accogliente , il personale molto gentile e attento a ogni minimo dettaglio

16/06/2025: Cena pessima, conto sproporzionato un esagerazione indecente , sia al livello di cucina, comodità tavoli che ballano, e servizio scadente, chi viene servito in un modo e chi in un altro, qualità pessima é un complimento, nulla di mangiabile, forse acqua e coca cola l unica cosa di qualità.
03/02/2025: scortesia da parte della cassiera, qualità e prezzo non corretto allo stesso prezzo, venivo servita, e non avevo tovaglia di plastica bicchieri di plastica....... per essere self service tipo mensa troppo alto il prezzo

Alla fine fatta la somma, diviso per tutte le categorie e poi per due, il risultato è:

Il menu è altalenante, si passa dalle alici del Cantabrico e piatti al caviale, a piatti molto più basici ma ben realizzati e dall’ottimo sapore.
Unica nota, dolci, il gazpacho di frutta di stagione con meringhe che in realtà è una macedonia.
LOCATION 6
Il panorama risolleva un ambiente un po’ troppo semplice e che risente un po’ il tempo che passa. Sicuramente meglio il fuori che il dentro. Di giorno, magari al tramonto dovrebbe essere uno spettacolo. Apparecchiatura semplice (forse troppo) e informale, per un locale dai prezzi, poco informali.
SERVIZIO 5
Abbastanza attento ma basito, con alcune imprecisioni. Anche qui, con un prezzo de genere, in attenzione maggiore al servizio non sarebbe male.
CONTO 6
Come già detto il prezzo dei piatti non è poco ma in definitiva giusto per quello che si mangia. Però ne il locale interno, ne il servizio, ne in menu lo giustificano.
In definitiva se vi trovate da queste parti, un posto che alla fine vale la pena di provare!
