03/06/2025: When we are in Lignano, San Remo is our favorite restaurant. We have been going there, on and off, for 40 years and it feels a bit like coming home. The food is excellent and the service hospitable. We hope to eat there often. It is highly recommended!

28/06/2025: We come to Croce del Sud every year when we’re in Lignano – it’s our go-to spot for dinner almost every night. The food is great, the atmosphere is lovely, and the staff is friendly. A couple of times they forgot to bring a dish, but that doesn’t change our overall experience. We always enjoy coming back!

20/05/2025: Really pleasant experience at Rueda Gaucha on a quiet Monday in June. A couple's dinner. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The meat is the real star: tender, tasty and cooked to perfection, accompanied by tasty side dishes and attentive and friendly service. Excellent value for money too. Ideal for those who love grilled food and want to treat themselves to an evening that is different from the usual. Highly recommended!

02/06/2025: Il y a à Lignano des restaurants (comme par exemple Agosti) et des cantines ( comme par ex. Croce del sud). Donc choisissez la qualité et le service plutôt que de poireauter 1/2 h pour manger des moules !

31/05/2025: Para empezar pedí un tártaro de atún y poco antes de terminar noté algo muy pequeño arrastrándose en mi plato. Y cuando miré más de cerca lo que era, vi un gusano vivo en mi plato. Cuando se lo dijimos a la camarera al principio ni siquiera lo vio, pero después de que se lo dijimos (creo que todavía no sabía lo que queríamos decir) dijo que se lo llevará al chef y se lo preguntará. Cuando regresó nos dijo que era de la flor y ni siquiera dio una disculpa. Escribo esto porque mi madre ya hizo un reviev en google y me respondieron que era un pistilo violeta. Creo que es indignante e incapaz. Y la comida de los cuatro sabía a nada y mi carbonara de espagueti era una sopa de aceite.

22/06/2025: Typical tourist rip-off!! Coperto is charged in full even though they forgot to make us anything (bread, snacks, crackers...). House wine: 1/2 liter was ordered and charged, we got 2 jugs of 125ml each + a bit more, but definitely not 1/2 liter! Pizza tiny and the dough so thin that there was a hole in the middle and you had to scrape the toppings off the plate! Parmesan is placed on the table in small plastic bags. Pizza with burrata was pizza with mozzarella - never again!! Especially when the prices are higher than in the neighboring restaurant (Sandr.) and this one is so much better!!! We had to tell the service 3 times that something was missing. I'd rather go somewhere else.

22/06/2025: We've eaten here several times and were satisfied every time. The staff welcomed us very warmly on each visit, as did the service – simply fantastic. We tried several things from the menu and enjoyed everything. We'd be happy to come back.

02/07/2025: I think my family and I visited the restaurant at 3pm, which is siesta time in Italy. The restaurant was empty, we were basically the only ones there. The staff's attitude wasn't bad, but compared to the attitude in other restaurants we visited, we didn't feel that welcome and in the center of attention. I understand that it was probably the time, but I recommend having the restaurant closed during siesta, so that your staff can also have enough rest and can fully devote themselves to the guests. The food was average except for my wife's homemade spaghetti and tiramisu - both were really fantastic. Negative - we had to ask for pizza twice, because the first time they forgot to bring it to us, we thought it would take longer to prepare but they obviously forgot to order. Atmosphere - the restaurant is really empty at this time and you don't feel that good. The evening atmosphere looked great, we often walked by.

01/07/2025: Even though we went on a very crowded night, they served us in a very short time, then they offered us an appetizer with bruschetta, tomato sauce and some herbs. We ordered 2 pizzas, the ingredients were abundant, delicious and of quality. Very luxurious location.

23/06/2025: The food was very good - there is a small menu, but that doesn't matter at all, as the dishes are prepared with a lot of love and taste excellent.

13/06/2025: Simple but welcoming trattoria with a few well-executed dishes (both meat and seafood). Slightly generous portions as in a trattoria. Young and competent staff. It is becoming my trusted place.

15/06/2025: We had dinner at Acqua Pazza but it didn't go well. We started with a trio of tartare and a mixed grill, with the goal of trying something else later. When the grill arrived, there was a strong smell of ammonia coming from the scampi. The smell was terribly strong. For those who don't know, the smell of ammonia in fish is a strong warning sign that the fish is no longer fresh. The smell of ammonia develops due to bacterial decomposition and protein degradation in dead fish, especially if not stored properly at low temperatures. In other cases, ammonia is used to whiten the fish and mask its decomposition. Back to dinner, I put it aside and continued with the rest which did not smell of ammonia. Dinner was a worry because we also had raw fish. I discreetly pointed out the problem, I was told that they would check, so I thanked them. Not receiving any feedback, I head to the cashier with the awareness of being just another scammed tourist. At the cashier I am given the bill without the classic question "Was everything okay?" or even "we apologize for the problem", we were only asked, verbatim: "Do you want a sorbet?" At which, not wanting to continue being the tourist mentioned above, I decline, thank them and leave. Dear customers, smell the fish at Acqua Pazza because it could already be thrown away and a restaurant should never put it on your plates. The reason for the negative review is only due to the lack of apologies or explanations from the restaurant. Maybe I wouldn't have given 5 stars, but I would certainly have avoided reviewing. ---EDIT FOLLOWING THE LOCAL'S RESPONSE- I would like to clarify that: 1. I have no reason to give a negative review, after all the waiter was very kind and there were no other shortcomings. 2. The review is not a punishment for the restaurant, but a warning for future customers. And 3. The restaurant claims that what I write is false, yet we heard the waiter inform the cashier that "in fact the fish smelled". The restaurant, with its response, confirms the bad faith and carelessness towards customers in pointing them out as liars, after having served rotten fish. If this is your way of working, good luck.

15/06/2025: A place away from the hustle and bustle of the center, but easy to reach. The raw fish is good, it's a shame that the tartar is served directly on ice and it's annoying that some ice ends up in your mouth. John Dory fish for two people, baked in the oven, not very good, it's stringy and dry, for 64 euros it's definitely not worth it. The Neapolitan style pizza was definitely the best

01/06/2025: Basic hotel with a very good quality/price ratio. Always very kind and "on the ball" staff. Few frills and a lot of substance... pleasant pool, bicycles available and an excellent breakfast! In addition, they promptly fixed an electrical problem in the room without causing us any inconvenience and apologizing several times for the inconvenience. Absolutely recommended hotel! Thanks for the hospitality! P.s. super plus, beach with sunbeds and umbrella included having stayed a few nights!!

28/05/2025: I stayed just one night with my family for an event near Lignano. What can I say, perfect value for money, very polite staff, excellent room cleaning, breakfast buffet just right for any type of sweet/savory preference. We will definitely keep it in mind if we were to return there.

29/06/2025: Very good restaurant, the portions are really very generous, we could even have shared a pasta dish (casserole). Quick, simple and efficient.
