02/10/2023: My wife and I stayed at Agriturisimo Serafina for four nights, including breakfast and dinner, and could not have enjoyed ourselves more. Other than coffee, flour, salt and sugar, the family produces all food stuffs they put on the table - this is quite literally, farm-to-table cuisine. Although "simple" foods, the family knows just how to season each dish they prepare - and there are many dishes every evening. The patriarch - Dominic - fosters an welcoming and interactive atmosphere during the dinners along with generous amounts of wine during the meal and the finishing touch of limoncello at the end (all home-made). The small family manages all aspects of the on-premises farm (animals, vegetables and fruits) operation as well as the kitchen and all house-keeping duties. Quite impressive. Daughter Rosa is the primary contact with guests (she's fluent in French and English) as well as a dizzying, whirlwind presence in all aspects of the business. We were both humbled and astonished at the kindness and unyielding willingness of the family - especially Rosa - to quickly address any and all questions, interests or concerns expressed by their guests. The lovely, idyllic setting is a much welcomed balm for the soul.

25/09/2023: This is a good restaurant, but it’s not even close to the level of Michelin star. On this trip we had a chance to visit two Michelin restaurants: Il Refettorio and Chic Nonna in Florence, both have 1 Michelin star, but the difference in food, service and ambiance is huge. We don’t recommend this restaurant!

02/09/2023: Excellent meal and service in a beautiful setting. The dishes were creative and consistently well done. Lots of little “extras” including pallet cleanser before desert, amuse bouche sampler to start, and an excellent fresh bread display. Tasting menu was well worth it. Easily deserving of the star, better than most we’ve tried with that rating.

20/09/2023: A me ha deluso ci sono molte cose da migliorare forse voi vi accontentate di veduta e mare e’ importante anche i servizi non ci viene avvisato che il parcheggio non era custodito infatti si sono rubati il casco da sotto alla sella dello scooter infatti per evitare che si rubassero anche lo scooter mio marito è’ stato costretto ad andare a casa che dista 35 minuti a prende l’auto, nell’attesa di mio marito che rientrava decido di andare in camera e riposare e che vuoi riposare una comunione affianco alla camera che ovviamente faceva rumore e si sentiva tutto, poi dove sono stata delusa e’ che non ci viene detto che c era all interno della struttura una spa c è ne siamo accorti noi quando era troppo tardi perché di Mattina era chiusa il giorno dell arrivo ci fanno scendere in spiaggia ma alle 14:30 il sole va già dietro la montagna ovviamente non è colpa loro ma almeno potrebbero far entrare il giorno successivo in spiaggia almeno fino alle 12 invece no si deve pagare il supplemento infatti facciamo colazione nulla di eclatante e alle 10:30 posiamo la camera e decidiamo di andare via a quel prezzo secondo me ci sono alberghi migliori unico complimento al personale spiaggia e bar gentili perché abbiamo fatto un aperitivo e mangiato un panino servito sotto l’ombrellone

24/07/2023: Tutto perfetto al Bar del Cetus, appena entro ti accoglie il barman ( Danilo ) con gentilezza, il posto è rilassante e si gode di una vista eccezionale. Consiglio lo spritz amalfitano, fatto con maestria da Danilo. Da ritornarci!!!

10/10/2023: They try to come off like they are a high end restaurant but fall short. We couldn’t get a seat near the water apparently because guests of the hotel take first priority. Ok. I get that. Even though we had reservations. They put us in a center aisle and the waiter bumped my chair at least 4 times. My hubbys meal was cold and had to be sent back . Was obviously microwaved because of his cut marks. A good kitchen doesn’t even have a microwave. Disappointed in the whole experience.

20/07/2023: This is a hotel restaurant, and the food is fine but nothing special. They have lots of older uniformed staff who are sweet but this is not a destination restaurant. And they should turn off all the aircon and open the windows - what an unnecessary waste of energy. The sea breeze is glorious.

07/08/2023: This restaurant is in a spectacular location with an amazing view. They actually sent a water taxi for us (free) to/from the Positano main beach as it is hard to access via foot. We were so excited to arrive and take in the experience; however, as soon as the boat pulled up our waiter who greeted us seemed aloof and cold (Fransisco). The rest of the staff was superb - the water taxi captain was so nice, and the accompanying wait staff seemed caring, but this experience with Francisco was very off-putting and felt paticularly aimed at us as we were a group of gay friends traveling together. We noticed it right from the start - he seemed annoyed at requests to see the wine list (and tried to push wines not on the menu with no apparent price tag) and repeatedly mentioned wines we selected were "out" but that he could offer something comparable (that were much poorer quality/priced wines). Our waters sat empty the entire time and we had to ask for more (they were in a wine bucket) with him not even bothering to ever check in on us or see how we were doing. He completely forgot our friend's main course and didn't seem to care when our friend sat waiting to eat while we all were served - we finally had to flag him down and when we did he seem perplexed about the dish and it seemed clear he forgot about it and then seemed annoyed and said "it's coming". 25 minutes later after we were all finished our friend's dish came with not one word of apology or care from him. It also seemed that the other waiters could tell he was treating us differently as they seemed to step in at a few points to try and be helpful. We wondered at first if his cold demeanor and flippant, uncaring attitude were just part of his personality; however, we began to watch him interact with other tables around us with him smiling and laughing with them (also English-speakers) and him offering to take pictures, being the utmost of attentive to them in terms of serving water and wine, and him seeming to be constantly checking in with them. It seemed clear to us that he was annoyed at having to serve us and he made no apologies even after leaving us sitting without water, not serving wine or checking in when we were empty, not checking in otherwise, and him forgetting our friend's dish. We asked for the bill several times and he seemed to ignore us when we finally had to go to the host stand to ask for it. It's sad because the food was quite good overall, and the other staff were very friendly and nice, not to mention it being an exceptional and exclusive view. However, his service left us with a terrible experience of the place and really made us feel badly about being treated how we were. What's more, it really concerned us for the restaurant as we had eaten earlier in the week at their Michelin-starred restaurant, La Serra, which was OUTSTANDING and treated us very well. The restaurant would be smart to let this server go and train its staff on diversity and how to treat diverse guests (ensuring everyone is treated with respect and warmth). We recommend steering clear of this place until it is addressed.

17/07/2023: Impossible to find. No signs to the restaurant. Staff is nice but untrained. Quality of service does not justify the price.

01/08/2023: Splendida esperienza, nel ristorante dell'hotel Botanico, con salita in funicolare panoramica privata da Maiori al ristorante. Ottimo servizio e ottimi piatti. Panorama mozzafiato e cucina espressa preparata al momento. Ineccepibile. Elevata la qualità delle etichette nella carta dei vini e possibilità di mescita a calice.
