I met the owner at the fish market and was drawn to this place.
As you'd expect from a market encounter,
all the food was fresh and delicious!

11/10/2025: We went to this restaurant tonight. The place is welcoming, the staff friendly, and the gluten-free food is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. The fried food is sensational, and the gluten-free pizza is absolutely delicious and richly topped. Excellent value for money. (Appetizers include supplì, crocche, and pasta frittata, ortolani pizza, beer, mineral water, and Fernet for €25.)
11/10/2025: There were four of us this evening, two gluten-free and two regular ones. The food was delicious for both of us, with sensational fried foods. They allowed us to choose the pizza menu even though it was Saturday. Excellent value for money, fast service, and very friendly staff. Exceptional pizza. The only negative aspect, 100%, was the noise from the diners, but that's understandable on a Saturday night and with a line outside the restaurant to be served, perhaps because we didn't book. We didn't have to wait even a minute, having booked yesterday.

The Villa Elvira team is simply excellent: knowledgeable, smiling, and able to anticipate guests' needs with ease. Rarely do you find such a harmonious and professional group.
The lunch was tasty and beautifully presented, but what really made the difference was the way each course was served and explained.
I recommend Villa Elvira to anyone looking not only for good food, but a complete experience, where the human touch and quality of service reach excellent levels.

18/12/2025: Fresh food without frills. Grandma's, mom's cooking. A cool, clean place with an open kitchen and the smells of home, so you feel right at home! The counter and the facade shine, you can see yourself in the mirror.
You often find yourself sitting next to some VIPs.
Because if you eat at a restaurant rather than at home, you have to know how to choose from quality to seasoning, otherwise you'll end up with crosses in your liver and tests with asterisks.

07/01/2026: We went to La Befana with the family for my mother's birthday (88 years old), a beautiful place near Lake Lucrino, despite the terrible rainy day (on a beautiful seafront and lakeside a more disastrous day than this could have been, lots and lots of rain) we ate really very well, a lot of starters all excellent, 2 good fish first courses and an excellent fried food all accompanied by an excellent white wine, excellent cake, excellent very attentive service.
29/12/2025: I returned after a year and will never return. Excellent quality cuisine but predatory and deceptive customer service. I ordered the house appetizer of about 9 samples (fair price €46 for two) which was accompanied by 6 raw pieces (2 oysters, 2 red prawns, 2 truffles). I accepted the dish convinced it was part of the house appetizer, but it found itself on the bill at €20, six measly pieces. I ordered a seafood scialatiello (€18) but found myself with linguine allo scoglio (€25). Too bad I realized it when I was already on the highway. Highly not recommended.

13/10/2025: Terrible experience. Yesterday we called to ask for some information, but they hung up on us while we were still talking. We stopped by the restaurant today, but they wouldn't let us in because we had a small dog in a closed bag. The staff was rude and unhelpful. They obviously don't need customers.
10/10/2025: Simple trattoria. Menu announced verbally. Few dishes, but very tasty. A very good roast. Spartan service with long tables for several people. Typically a small town place, but very pleasant.

01/12/2025: We arrived at 4:00 PM, were seated, and didn't have a long wait even though the place was busy. We ordered two first courses (1 linguine with clams and 1 linguine with seafood), which were good, but the mussels were cold and the clams were very small. For the second course, we ordered a calamari platter for two (we specified "abundant"), and we received a normal amount of calamari, not too small but not too large, and a nice plate of mixed salad.
We went to pay, and the lady at the table charged us for two calamari platters (we'd only ordered one, but at most she'll charge me a little more because I specified "abundant," not a whole one) and a plate of salad for the "modest" price of 10 euros, which I hadn't even ordered.
I specified the items I ordered and ate, and the lady replied that she had ordered two fried items even though I'd asked for one. Then I checked the receipt and found the salad I hadn't ordered.
As is my custom, I paid, thanked her, and never returned, without a fuss.
