18/01/2025: Located in the center of the Belvedere seafront, the Calypso restaurant is an institution that has always been present and has been able to renew itself.
Excellent, fast and helpful table service.
The portions are generous.
We found the seafood appetizers a bit tasteless (hence 3 stars), the first courses much tastier and more abundant.
Medium-high prices (around €35 per person for starter and first course).
To be re-evaluated with the next release.
02/01/2025: I would like to point out that before writing this review I reserved the right to enjoy almost the entire repertoire of Calypso's culinary melodies. After that only two words came to mind: Pure inspiration! A few times I felt the sea in my mouth... At Calypso this sensation was constant every time. For those who love to taste 'real' 'fresh' fish I believe it is essential to book a table in this magical place of taste: I agree with those who define it as "the best restaurant in the Tyrrhenian area of Cosenza". The owners and all the staff are exquisitely helpful: I recommend asking for suggestions, I have always been satisfied in following them. The romantic veranda overlooking the sea is the icing on the cake. I recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy a candlelit dinner. Hats off to this place of poetic inspiration of taste.

14/01/2025: Large, hospitable and heated environment (this is not a given!).
Good service, attentive and helpful staff
You can choose either a restaurant or a pizzeria, we ate pizza, both really excellent slices.
I recommend it.
Outside the restaurant there is also parking

24/09/2024: Posto incantevole, servizio pessimo, cucina non qualificabile. Conto salatissimo e fatturazione assente, Assolutamete da sconsigliare. il riso non era adeguatamente mentecato, tanto che sembrava uninsalata insipida, Il metre è sempre assente per gran parte della serata, pertanto dovrete trovare il vostro tavolo e servirvi i vino , quando arriva, da soli. Il prezzo della vostra cena verrà gonfiato al finale a fronte di una ricevuta che riporta solo metà della spesa.
16/08/2024: Gli spaghetti con le vongole facevano impressione: una porzione di oltre 150gr di pasta (davvero troppi), sconditi, secchi, insapori e mal legati. Praticamente uno spaghetto aglio e olio fatto male con le vongole buttate da sopra. La grigliata era di pesce decongelato (la seppia era però molto tenera). La frittura umida, poco croccante e i calamari elastici. L’antipasto niente di notevole, back to ‘90, tutta roba già pronta (tipo l’insalata di polpo acquistata pronta all’ingrosso). Un vero peccato, perché la vista sul golfo di Diamante è mozzafiato
