31/05/2025: Excellent evening with the music group, great food, very nice place. Very kind and helpful staff.

25/05/2025: We went for dinner on Friday, attracted by the proposal of a barbecue accompanied by live music with the trio Tocci, Arnieri and De Rose. The premises were excellent: convivial atmosphere, good food and live entertainment. However, the overall experience did not reflect expectations. The staff was courteous, but unfortunately very difficult to find during the evening. The waiting times were long and even simple requests such as water, bread or cutlery required more promptness. We ordered three main courses, but only one arrived initially. When we asked for clarification, we were confidently told that everything was there, leaving us a bit perplexed. The quality of the meat served was uneven, with some pieces well cooked and others very hard or burnt. The ‘mpacchiuse potatoes, ordered in two portions, were served in a truly minimal quantity. A big round of applause goes to the musicians, who performed with passion and professionalism, even if the environment did not favor listening due to the acoustics and background noise. Unfortunately, the evening, which could have been pleasant, was disappointing in several respects. We hope that the venue can improve the management of the service, because the idea behind the event is valid.

The restaurant is located inside a natural cave, excellent meat and fish dishes are served at more than honest prices. Don't miss a visit to the town of Altomonte

06/06/2025: The food was absolutely delicious. Every course was better than the last. The fish was very fresh. The service was amazing. We had several appetizers as samples and full orders. My husband has a fish allergy, and even though we are at a very popular restaurant for Seafood, they made sure he had everything he wanted. This was our first time here visiting Calabria from the USA (Chicago), and the people made us feel like family. Best experience here in Calabria!! Thank you, Francesco and his lovely daughter, who helped translate, Elisabeta. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone!

31/05/2025: Welcoming atmosphere. Excellent service. Very kind owner and staff. Welcoming L9cation. We ate fish... for two. And it was an exhilarating experience! Excellent quality! Very fresh appetizer! A variety of fish between cooked and raw that you are already full. Divided in two! Second: mixed grill with 6 types of fish, to say the least very tasty! The dessert: "tasty chocolate" and "peccato di gola" a delight for the palate!!! Value for money adequate to the high quality of the fish!! Highly recommended.

31/05/2025: Calypso restaurant in Belvedere Marittimo is a real experience! I was invited to dinner with my boss's family and the experience was incredible. The raw and fried fish appetizers were delicious and very fresh. The highlight was my “pasta con vongole”, which I asked for with the clams on the side. Even though it was a complicated request, the staff responded with excellence. The service was attentive and the atmosphere welcoming. I recommend it to everyone who visits Belvedere Marittimo.

29/05/2025: After spoiled restaurant visits on the East Coast, tonight was rather disappointing. At the beginning, we were rushed to order, and the order of dishes was not followed. After the bill was handed over, no one paid any attention to us. We left the amount and weren't even greeted as we left!

08/06/2025: Pescheria Azzurra is located in the old (open-air) market of Pigna secca. The loud chatter is characteristic of the place, and Pescheria Azzurra is 100% genuine. The catch of the day is fried with impressive consistency and is very good. The first courses are also of excellent workmanship and taste. The fish shop is well known and frequented by many tourists.

04/06/2025: Not a completely positive experience, It is not a festival and if you go there to find a village festival it is not the right place. Street food in a parking lot near a cemetery. Very slow service we ordered at 8.40pm everything together and three/4 courses were served at 10.20pm making us all eat staggered and above all nervous about the wait. Normal prices if you are looking for equipped restaurants, with a better location and adequate service they will not be that different. It is a shame because the format could work with some different specifications. Definitely more suitable for small tables of 2/4 people.

23/06/2025: This place is a fairy tale! We stayed overnight, the room is fresh, spacious and clean, very comfortable mattress and orthopedic pillow, fresh bed linen, a stunning view from the small window! The room has air conditioning, a small refrigerator and a kettle (but no glasses or mugs). In the morning, a hearty and delicious breakfast awaited us on a beautiful terrace. The place is incredible! My recommendation!
