09/12/2024: We had dinner last Friday at this restaurant. We ordered pici cacio e pepe, beef carpaccio with artichokes and followed by fried chicken, rabbit with artichokes and fried lamb. The pici were very salty and so was the carpaccio, we mentioned this to the waitress when she asked us 'how did it go?' .... when we arrived at the fried food, the owner himself showed up, leaving the dishes on the table, adding in a contemptuous manner that since the first courses were salty he hadn't put even a grain of salt in these.... a gentleman. I will never go back. I add that we also ordered a bottle of Bruciato.... I advise against it, detached staff... incapable of creating empathy... Cost of dinner 120 euros... it could fit.

06/01/2025: Attracted by the numerous positive reviews we tried this restaurant for dinner. For me too the average rating is too high compared to other places like Caino.
Excellent ribollita, pasta with wild boar ragù good but nothing special. The disappointment was the Chianti fillet. Arrived lukewarm with a lackluster wine reduction.
Do not take the house red wine, immediate headache and stomach acidity. The worst of the house red wines tried in other places. If I had known I would have bought a bottle which anyway are sold at a good price.
The place was very hot, like an oven.
Nice waitress, fast and precise service.

06/01/2025: Excellent value for money. We had really delicious macaroni with scottona ragù and a 1kg Florentine steak cooked well, good but not exceptional. Good, honest and drinkable house red wine. In total 84 euros. The welcome was good and the place met expectations. A simple trattoria.
I can't give a higher rating, because the place was cold. The stove had just been lit. The place filled up and everyone who entered asked to move near the stove.
The cutlery was frozen as were the plates for eating the first course. Luckily the dishes for the second course were hot. Some diners ate with their jackets on and we took turns getting up to stand in front of the stove.

03/11/2024: Inizio col dire che questo ottimo ristorante non è raggiungibilissimo: bisogna sapere dov'è e prepararsi a un viaggio in collina (circa 20' da Montecatini).
Preciso però che il viaggio si ripaga abbondantemente!
L'ambiente interno è molto accogliente e il menu, pur non essendo vastissimi, comprende piatti della tradizione toscana rigorosamente fatti in casa. Questa volta abbiamo provato tordelli di patate e tagliata ai funghi porcini ma ogni ricetta è squisita.
Una menzione d'onore va alla grappa alla camomilla che non ho trovato da nessun altra parte...

12/11/2024: Bizarre experience. The owner and waitress spent a good part of the dinner standing behind our table staring at us. Tagliolini with porcini mushrooms full of garlic. Spaghetti carbonara with cream. We also asked for a flying saucer pizza, pointing out that we couldn't have ham because there was a Moroccan at the table and the owner suggested we exchange it for salami. While one of us was still eating, the waitress passed in front of him to clear the table, causing a rush.
I don't think we will return

06/01/2025: I had dinner with my husband one evening during the Christmas holidays. Sliced beef and french fries for both. The food was good and the house wine too. However, they only brought us 4 tiny slices of cut meat, very little meat for the cost. The lady and the waiters were very kind and ready to serve us. Nice and welcoming environment.
05/01/2025: Nice and clean place, helpful and kind staff, we stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, we ate an appetizer, macaroni, tartare, cured meats and exceptional steak, good desserts, fair price, highly recommended

Location suggestiva nella bellissima Piazza di Montecatini Alto, ambiente caratteristico e personale cordiale e preparato.
Piatti ottimi, materia prima notevole e carta dei vini adeguata.
Vale la pena andarci.

18/11/2024: Ci aveva invogliato il menù degustazione, che si è rivelato ottimo, non solo nei piatti, ma anche negli abbinamenti con i vini che il maitre ci ha volta in volta consigliato. Un piatto su tutti ottimi: il filetto al tartufo.
05/11/2024: Habíamos tomado el funicular hasta Montecatini Alto para dar un paseo por este hermoso pueblo. Paramos en La Torre para almorzar, está situado justo al lado de la plaza. Tuvimos una comida encantadora con un servicio amable. Mi marido tenía chuleta de ternera, yo tenía bavette con setas de espagueti y flores de calabacín no era del todo como había esperado, pero ambos platos eran muy sabrosos. Tan bueno que decidimos volver un par de días después para la cena. Una vez más el servicio fue excelente. Compartimos un T - Filete de hueso y patatas asadas. Muy bien presentado y delicioso. Era caro, pero compartido, no tanto.

27/06/2024: Our experience at this restaurant was absolutely wonderful! The food was homemade and extremely tasty. Portions were generous. I would wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant when visiting Montecatini.
05/06/2024: This restaurant is charming and the food is delicious, all cooked by the mama, who is 89 years old, with her daughter, front of house. We were made to feel welcome and have returned already, with plans to go back again, before the end of our stay. The prices are very reasonable and we would highly recommend a visit to this restaurant.
