06/05/2026: A wonderful experience in a refined setting.
My wife and I had lunch there a few days ago. The food was very good and carefully prepared. The kindness and friendliness were abundant and natural, a rarity.
If we return to Monreale, we'll definitely visit you again.
02/05/2026: We went to Taverna del Pavone and had a truly wonderful time. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the food was satisfying from start to finish.
We tried a seafood pasta dish and a pasta alla Norma, both excellent: flavorful, well-prepared, and made with quality ingredients. The appetizers were also very good, as were the desserts. In particular, the cassata was very fresh, delicate, and truly delightful; the chocolate dessert was also delicious.
Overall, it was a lovely experience, with carefully prepared dishes and excellent service. Our only small suggestion is to slightly expand the gin selection on the menu and, perhaps, serve the tonic water separately, so each customer can adjust it to their own taste.
Otherwise, absolutely recommended!

04/05/2026: This pizzeria is highly recommended. Located just outside the busiest part of the center and with a pleasant terrace in one of Monreale's typical narrow streets. We received good service and the pizza dough was of good quality. We also tried the fried calzone, which was very tasty. The house blonde beer was also highly recommended. The prices are very reasonable for a location like this!

16/05/2026: Take a day off work; you'll need immense patience to get served at this restaurant.
The pasta is excellent, but unfortunately, we didn't get any pizzas 🤷🏼♀️ go figure, it's supposed to be a pizzeria after all… We're still waiting for the appetizer we ordered. Our main course arrived an hour and a half after we ordered. It's quite an experience…
08/05/2026: The pizza at this "pizzeria" is simply dry dough with minimal toppings. The staff is disrespectful.

19/05/2026: Beware, they're still using the same trick as described two years ago. They promise to waive parking fees in the parking garage, but then refuse with trumped-up excuses, for example, because we didn't have lunch – even though I ordered something more expensive. Furthermore, the cashier was very unfriendly (after she even let her fellow countrymen go ahead of her in the queue). The food itself was okay.
15/05/2026: No lemonade, in a restaurant on Sicily! Only lemon soda, and we had to ask for ice ourselves. Service was quite indifferent and spoke no English.
We had no cash to pay for our drinks, so we wanted to pay by card. This was not possible apparently, which is ridiculous in 2026, and even though the entrance says they support card payment. When I came back after trying several ATMs it was suddenly, but very reluctantly, possible to pay by card. It seems they just didn't want to go through the trouble for six euros. Ridiculous.

15/05/2026: Having been notified two weeks in advance that a member doesn't eat meat, they only served a little green salad and a few slices of grilled zucchini and eggplant for the main course. Upon request for a proper main course, they served a spoiled, industrial-strength mozzarella. The baked pasta rings were overcooked and topped with only a little sauce and breadcrumbs. The industrial-strength ice cream, aged in the freezer and of terrible quality, was also served. For the packed lunch, the sandwich consisted of the same grilled vegetables. They didn't have an egg or a can of tuna!!!
09/05/2026: If you throw that paste at someone, both they and you will faint.

02/05/2025: Ordered the lamb chops and they were overcooked and tasted like they were pulled straight from the freezer. The canoli was terrible. Had an upset stomach about 2 hours after eating.

02/05/2025: Abbiamo pranzato in questo ristorante, personale gentilissimo e posto molto bello. Peccato per il cibo, i. Primi erano completamente scotti e dissapori, peccato da un ristorante con cucina tipica siciliana non me lo aspettavo., forse può andar bene per gli stranieri, ma per italiani assolutamente no, mi spiace davvero.
