25/02/2026: We stopped here on a whim and had a very good meal (mussels, spaghetti carbonara, penne alla Norma). The dishes were not only perfectly prepared but also beautifully presented. We didn't have to wait long. A true professional with a passion for their work is at work here. The server was probably still in training, but very attentive and friendly. However, the clientele was quite small, consisting of only two couples.

25/02/2026: ⛔️AVOID THIS RESTAURANT I ordered the Crudo Royal (€30 - Scampi, Fish Carpaccio, Red Prawn, Tuna, Oyster) tonight. Please take a look at the picture to see what I actually received, aside from the quality. Waiting time: 45 minutes (in an empty restaurant!?) Plate check: loads of tiny scampi, tuna, red prawns (without tongs to crack them open), and some kind of white stuff. NO FISH CARPACCIO!!! NO OYSTER!!! On top of that, everything, EVERYTHING, was frozen, thawed (hence the long wait), and then marinated in oil. The poor, pale seafood was cold and slimy. He said it was oil... it was thawed stuff! Incredibly disgusting. I could only wash it down with white wine. I should have sent the plate straight back to the kitchen; this is completely unacceptable!!! Before paying, I wanted to know where the oyster was. I only just noticed the missing fish capaccio. The chef made excuses... nothing was delivered this evening, but he compensated. Compensated with what?! I ordered the most expensive appetizer, and he didn't want me to change my mind, so he decided to simply alter the dish for me. I wasn't asked beforehand, nor was I informed. That's incredibly disrespectful and dishonest. Communication is everything. Regarding the slimy leftovers, he claimed they were marinated. It's a disgrace that such a person is a chef in a restaurant; shame on you!!! I paid the €40 without further discussion, but he more than deserves this bad review. The waitress was only physically present. She never came by to ask if everything was alright, if I wanted another glass of wine. Nothing. A completely bizarre experience. If your health is important to you, please spend your money elsewhere!

09/02/2026: My wife and I dined here while on vacation. The setting is absolutely lovely on the steps. The food — while not innovative or unique — was perfectly cooked and tasty. I would normally have given this place 5 stars were it not for the obnoxious service. I asked the server for two glasses of red wine to try before choosing one. There was no list of wines by the glass (mind you), so it was not clear how many total wines there were by the glass. Or if a wine by the glass list existed, it wasn’t presented to us. The server brought out the glasses, but I didn’t care for either so I asked if there was maybe a 3rd I could try. That’s when — in the most condescending manner I’ve ever experienced from a waiter in my life — they scoffed and laughed at me saying “in Sicily there are only two types of red wine.” Translation: “you idiot…why are you bothering me with such dumb requests.” I was so astonished and rattled at how they mocked me that I had to excuse myself from the table and go to the bathroom to take a pause. When I came out of the bathroom I was visibly shaken that the owner came up to me to ask what was wrong. I told him what happened and asked for a new server. The owner — a truly gracious soul whose wife was about to give birth any day — offered to be our server for the night. While the owner did his best to rectify the situation, the evening had already been ruined. I would’ve given 1 star had it not been for the kindhearted owner who understood the importance of service relative to the high prices they charge. While this happened maybe 9-10 months ago, it still pops into my mind from time to time. I’m writing this bad review for my own personal closure so I can stop thinking about how mistreated I was, and to warn the owner that others will leave bad reviews if they keep that obnoxious waiter on staff. And, for the record, their staff should be educated on Sicilian wine better. While there are indeed two main red varietals Sicily is famous for, there are plenty more that are grown in Sicily. So they mocked me for not knowing something that they were completely wrong about. How ironic.

12/10/2025: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Tao Beach Club – Excellent Experience! Tao Beach Club is an excellent option for a relaxing day at the beach. The service is outstanding, and the restaurant is truly top-notch. A special thank you to Natalia, who is exceptionally customer-focused — even though the club was fully booked, she called me back as soon as a cabana became available and reserved it for us. It happened to be the last day of the season, and my wife and I couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend it. The atmosphere, service, and attention to detail made it a perfect ending to our trip. Highly recommended!

16/10/2025: We arrived here near to closing time but were greeted with warmth and a smile. We shared a jug of local white wine and Classic Bruschetto 👌 We also had the vegetarian macaroni dish and it was yummy.

03/12/2025: The pizzas were good, but the pizza chef was unpleasant and rude to the group. It was just because everyone wanted to pay for their own meal.

28/11/2025: Beautiful setting and super romantic. Food was delicious and staff were lovely. Portions are small so marked down for that in terms of value for money. Marked down on service as was charged an additional €30 for a bottle of wine we did not order. Did not notice until we got back to the hotel as we were in a rush to pay because it started to rain and we were outside! With that being said I would go again, without the kids and make sure I check the bill properly next time! The outdoor terrace is truly stunning.

23/10/2025: This restaurant may as well be one of the best places I’ve ever had dinner. We found it online and decided to check it out spontaneously, and just wow. The garden is beautiful, with several citrus trees. Super romantic atmosphere. All the staff has specific roles, so the sommelier only does take wine orders, the waitresses only bring food and take away empty plates or refill empty glasses and there are separate people for taking food orders or bringing out the bill. Although it might feel a bit slow (reading some of the other comments), there definitely is a system in place that works well. And then the food… eating a variety of vegetarian food has been difficult in Sicily. Not at this restaurant; they have an amazing selection of high quality vegetarian food. Probably the best vegetarian food we’ve ever had. We started with a delicious burrata and tomatoes, then lemon linguini, fried artichoke and shared two desserts. We did not have any wine, just two bottles of water and I was surprised with how low the bill was for the amazing quality of food. Feels like dining in a Michelin setting, but for a super reasonable price. Thank you to the staff for this amazing experience!

02/01/2026: My experience was decidedly positive. A la carte New Year's Eve dinner. Unfortunately, it was a rainy evening, which prevented us from enjoying what we had planned. They were helpful and friendly, allowing us to toast the New Year with our own bottles! And not only that... they served lentils and cotechino without asking. A suggestion for all restaurants open on New Year's Eve with an à la carte menu: charge a €20 cover charge per person rather than rightfully inflating the menu. When you add value to good food and customer service, you make a difference. Thank you for everything.

10/11/2025: We had a delicious pizza for lunch on the beach! With a bottle of wine. Everything they give you on the beach is plastic. The restaurant has a wider menu and better service. But I still recommend it. The guys are amazing! They never stop, serving everyone with the best attitude. We had a wonderful time!

16/02/2026: A very average experience. While the pizza was decent, the Aglio Olio pasta was a disaster. It was completely flavorless and lacked spice.

13/02/2026: Having had the experience at the Cyclope, which we didn't know was under the same management, we were looking for a place to eat well. I must say the food was decent, but the tiramisu was terrible, so much so that we vomited all night. I remind you of one fundamental thing: a second course must be served strictly cut on a flat plate. Perhaps because there was a group and they didn't have plates, it was served on a very deep plate. It was poorly cooked, a shame.

09/11/2025: I ordered Involtini Pesce Spada Fresco Grigliati alla Siciliana. The rolls were very small, Spada is very thin, ingredients not tasty, the fried batter outside is badly burnt. Why is this dish cost 32euros? The waiter was kind but the stern faced lady who seems to me the shopkeeper was rather curt and blunt, store-oriented style, reluctant to welcome a customer from the far east small island.
