12/10/2025: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Tao Beach Club – Excellent Experience! Tao Beach Club is an excellent option for a relaxing day at the beach. The service is outstanding, and the restaurant is truly top-notch. A special thank you to Natalia, who is exceptionally customer-focused — even though the club was fully booked, she called me back as soon as a cabana became available and reserved it for us. It happened to be the last day of the season, and my wife and I couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend it. The atmosphere, service, and attention to detail made it a perfect ending to our trip. Highly recommended!

19/06/2026: Poor management and lack of transparency Very disappointed with the Hotel Metropole. Although the views are incredible, the experience was terrible. We had constant problems with misleading prices both at the beach club and on a private boat; we were quoted one price and charged another. The worst part was the manager's lack of professionalism, who refused to speak to us during our three-day stay. Don't expect five-star service here; the attention is deplorable.

09/08/2026: We visited this place today, and our impressions were quite mixed. Let me start with the positives: the food is genuinely very tasty — a big compliment to the kitchen. The atmosphere and the place itself are also wonderful. Unfortunately, the service ruined almost the entire experience of the evening. When we arrived, only about four tables were occupied, while there were around 5–6 waiters working. Despite this, we waited about 30 minutes just to have our order taken. After that, we waited another 30 minutes just to be brought and given empty plates. In other words, nearly an hour passed and we still had essentially not received any real service. Naturally, the dishes themselves took even longer. During all this time, almost no one came to our table. No one rushed to clear used dishes, check if everything was okay, offer anything else, or simply acknowledge us. What was most unpleasant was the impression that the waiters were constantly shifting responsibility to one another. We tried to ask someone to take our order, but instead we were passed from one person to another, and no one seemed particularly willing to serve our table. It was especially strange to see guests who arrived significantly later than us already receiving their food while we were still unable to even place our order. We are not sure whether our age played a role — we are 20–23 years old and look quite young — or whether it was simply the staff’s attitude towards their work. We do not want to draw unfounded conclusions, but the difference in treatment between our table and others was noticeable. With so many waiters and an almost empty restaurant, it is very difficult to explain such slow and indifferent service. Would we come back? For the food and the atmosphere — absolutely yes. But only with a very different level of service. The food deserves a high rating, the place is beautiful, but unfortunately the work of the waiters left an entirely negative impression. It felt less like a staffing issue and more like a complete lack of willingness to serve the guests.

07/08/2026: Good restaurant, but the service could use some work. The waiters get a bit pushy when it comes to ordering, and even when I ask for a few extra minutes to see the menu, I take it literally, and after a minute I'm back there.

16/10/2025: We arrived here near to closing time but were greeted with warmth and a smile. We shared a jug of local white wine and Classic Bruschetto 👌 We also had the vegetarian macaroni dish and it was yummy.

13/08/2026: We were fooled by this charming place perched on the steps of Taormina. But the food is really poor quality! In France, they make much better and tastier Italian specialties! Average service. What a shame…

09/08/2026: An unexpected, typically Sicilian return A very comfortable beach, with deckchairs and sun loungers at a very reasonable price. Compared to other beaches, this one struck us for its authenticity. It has showers and a simple, traditional restaurant. Mrs. Carmelina welcomed us with a smile and kindness. Crystal-clear water and a peaceful atmosphere. We also ate very well and will definitely return. I recommend it!!

21/07/2026: We arrived from Hotel Bel Soggiornó by transfer. The price of 18E/person includes a sunbed and umbrella as well as the round-trip transfer. The beach has a beautiful view of the open sea. This is a quieter, calmer and less crowded stretch of beach. There is also a shower, which you don't have to pay extra for. The restaurant has very delicious pasta and fish dishes, salads at a reasonable price, between 10-20 Euros. Panini is 6 Euros. Espresso is 1 Euro! I couldn't believe it! The service is courteous and polite, fast. We remember the time spent here with fondness!

23/08/2026: Ristorante La Buca – Taormina ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A wonderful place in Taormina with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and attentive, the food was delicious, and the setting was absolutely beautiful. Everything came together to create a truly enjoyable dining experience. Highly recommended if you are visiting Taormina!

03/08/2026: I've been waiting a long time for a fillet like this with such a pepper sauce! It was delicious! The appetizers were mediocre, but the main course was definitely worth it. / Friendly staff / Restaurant is on the street and therefore a bit noisy.

16/08/2026: Unfortunately, I must say it wasn't up to par. A disappointing culinary experience, especially from a technical standpoint. The **lobster pasta** (€37) had an unbalanced flavor profile and an overall unconvincing result: the seasoning didn't adequately enhance the aromatic and savory components of the crustacean, resulting in a lack of harmony on the palate. The **tuna with sweet and sour onion and mint** was particularly problematic. Using mint directly during cooking, especially if prolonged or at a high temperature, can lead to excessive extraction of the plant's aromatic components and essential oils. In this case, the result was a distinctly bitter, balsamic, and persistent note, accompanied by a pseudo-numbing and unpleasant sensation, which ended up overshadowing both the delicacy of the tuna and the sweet and sour balance of the onion. The problem, therefore, wasn't simply a matter of personal taste, but of aromatic balance and cooking technique: the mint was dominant and not integrated into the dish. Overall, a potentially interesting proposal, but its execution revealed several flaws. I definitely expected more. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this place.

22/08/2026: The beach area is overrated. While it’s beautiful, it’s incredibly crowded. It’s conveniently located near the cable car, but upon arrival, they asked if we had a reservation. Funny enough, I attempted to book with them on their Instagram twice without any response. I even texted the phone number listed on Google, but that didn’t reply either. They told us that they were fully booked and then all of a sudden offered us a spot. However, they charged us 70 euros for two sunbeds and an umbrella in August 2026. The sunbeds were very close to each other. There are other beaches in Taormina that even offer shuttle service from your hotel for half the price. Considering these factors, I don’t think it’s worth the hassle and expense.

22/08/2026: I had a great time, the Lido was well-equipped and clean, the restrooms were clean, the lunch was excellent, and the staff were very friendly!! I highly recommend it!

14/08/2026: Very disappointed with the food. The fish didn’t taste fresh and the steak was the cheapest kind. Never again.

19/08/2026: A few nights ago, I visited this pizzeria in Taormina with a breathtaking view. Unfortunately, I have to give it two stars because the service wasn't to my liking. The "head waiter" yells at and belittles the waiters in front of the entire crowd for his own mistakes. The table management needs rethinking; we had to change three tables and were told we'd sat down without reading a supposed sign at the entrance that managed customer flow. Aside from this unfortunate inconvenience, which affected several customers like me and could be explained by the chaos (though, in my opinion, you can't go wrong in Taormina), I can't deny how strategically located this restaurant/pizzeria is with a stunning view. The pizza was also very good, and the waiters were all very kind and approachable, while the less experienced ones were very polite and humble.

18/08/2026: A wonderful place with a view of the city, the sea, and Mount Etna. It was a pleasure to dine with such an unforgettable view. We had a pizza with truffle (and it really comes through here), as well as one with mortadella and pistachios. We were very pleased.

01/07/2026: A disgrace to Italian cuisine. The risotto was overcooked, with rice swimming in old oil. The white wine was poor quality and barely chilled. Cars drove through the narrow alley, almost passing right through the plate. A typical tourist trap.

29/06/2026: I went to this restaurant for lunch and enjoyed excellent linguine with swordfish and fresh mint.
