The food was fresh, homemade, and full of Sicilian flavor. No unnecessary frills—just good, traditional food prepared with love. Maria and her husband are incredibly friendly and make you feel more like an invited guest than a customer.
If you're looking for a place away from the tourist rush, where you can eat well and experience the true spirit of Sicily, this place is definitely worth a visit. We will definitely remember this visit fondly and will gladly return. 🇮🇹❤️

I was looking for a place in Gela where I could eat well without surprises on the bill, and I found it.
At Miseria e Nobiltà, "misery" is only in the name: on the plate, you get all the nobility of well-made Sicilian cuisine. Quality ingredients, just the right portions, and flavors that remind you of home.
18/06/2026: We were absolutely thrilled! The service was incredibly friendly, attentive, and exceptionally courteous from the very beginning. You immediately feel welcome and in excellent hands.
The appetizers deserve special mention: all the ingredients seemed fresh, high-quality, and locally sourced. The flavors were perfectly balanced and truly delicious.
The main course was equally impressive. The meat was cooked to perfection, wonderfully tender, superbly seasoned, and incredibly flavorful. You can tell that great emphasis is placed on quality and meticulous preparation.
Overall, a fantastic culinary experience with outstanding service and superb cuisine. We wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back! 😊

11/08/2026: What a shame! The pizzas used to be delicious, but now they're smaller and harder to digest than before. What a shame, like ruining a historic pizzeria.
We've been going there since I was little, but it's just not worth it anymore.
08/08/2026: My wife and I went out for pizza last night. As for the pizza, I couldn't fault it. It was good, but honestly not the best. I've had better in Caltanissetta.
What really left me perplexed, however, was the cover charge, which I now find decidedly exaggerated. I understand the management costs, but to reach such figures just for the cover charge.
Oh well! Where are we going to end up.

Very friendly staff, excellent location, impeccably clean and tidy, highly recommended.
26/07/2026: The wedding dinner was all very good, the outdoor location was beautiful and very well lit, and the service was excellent.
The parking lot was practically next door, making it convenient and easy to access.
I RECOMMEND IT.

Very spacious and clean room, a beautiful pool, and all the staff were professional and helpful. Despite the heat, we always ate lunch outside with a pleasant breeze, and the food was fresh and very good. I will definitely be back.

We chose the Pool Lunch option and had a truly wonderful time: a day spent by the pool, relaxing, and enjoying good food, with a lunch featuring excellent traditional appetizers that further enhanced our appreciation of the local flavors.
The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the setting truly allows you to slow down and enjoy the day without a care in the world.
I recommend this place even to those who can't stay for a longer period: it's definitely worth coming, even just for a different kind of day, relaxing, enjoying the pool, and enjoying good food.
We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!
