18/11/2025: The informal place looks like a simple bar.
But upon entering, you immediately notice the warm and friendly welcome.
Luciana and Fabrizio are two people who are very attentive to service and customer needs.
From breakfast to lunch and aperitifs,
they are exceptional.
The excellent cuisine is equal to, and sometimes superior to, a restaurant.
Definitely worth a try.
We have become regulars.

05/02/2026: We ordered a dish of the day (a calamarata with bottarga and clams) and a plain seafood risotto. Both dishes were very well prepared. The house white wine was a pleasant surprise, releasing aromas of ripe fruit. The service was impeccable, with a piping hot focaccia served, included in the cover charge.
31/01/2026: Excellent food quality. Great location in the center of Sassari for both a quick lunch and dinner. Helpful and knowledgeable staff.

29/03/2026: I called for a reservation at this restaurant, and since there were no more seats inside, I was recommended the outdoor patio. When I asked if it might be cold, since it's late March and not exactly summer, I was assured that the heaters would be fine. Unfortunately, only half of the available heaters were working, and part of our table wasn't heated at all. Nearing the end of the evening, I asked if we could be moved inside since our children were definitely suffering from the cold. I got no response... we quickly finished our pizza, and were forced to leave because we couldn't stand it any longer... I'm sorry, I don't usually give negative reviews because I try to understand any potential issues, but we would have appreciated a little more clarity and honesty from the reservations agent.
10/03/2026: Pasta with clams and bottarga... the pasta seemed precooked and left in water for too long, fried chips and calamari on the same plate, basically chips and four calamari rings, €20.
Price, with a glass of white wine, €50.50. I take out the €50 note hoping for a voluntary 50 cent discount, but I had to insist...
Too bad, the place is beautiful and quaint, but the rest is best left alone.

Meat and fish menu, salads, and desserts. Pizzas in the evening. Prices are the same as in the city center. Groups are welcome on Friday evenings from around 10 pm.
29/10/2025: After a long time, I stopped by your place for lunch. The situation was much better. I'm changing my review to 5 stars on everything. ☺️

22/02/2026: Not everyone likes added ingredients!! I visited this café on a winter afternoon and ordered a very simple hot chocolate. It's a shame they served me a creative version of what I wanted, with sugary ingredients/flavorings added to the maker's taste.
I asked if a plain hot chocolate was available, and the staff was so lazy that they brought back the same cup with the strange addition, with the already dissolved flavors of the sweets evidently removed from the surface. A ridiculous gesture.
It was obvious that the sweets would leave a flavorful aroma, ruining the taste of the drink.
Terrible experience. I won't be returning, I strongly advise against it.

06/03/2026: When you're unfamiliar with the city and ask a passerby for a restaurant with good food and they point you to Montecristo, consider yourself lucky.
That's what happened to this traveler on this occasion: a cozy yet functional location, an interesting menu with dishes made with the freshest ingredients delivered that day and expertly cooked, and a full-bodied red wine that goes down without a hitch. The service was so refined and courteous, they'd definitely return.

29/12/2025: So let's start by saying that the owner was very rude and impolite (not just to us but also to the staff) simply because I pointed out that at a table of eight, we were served four different times, not because we had to share, but because everyone had their own portion. We were served, but all the dishes were small and lacking in ingredients, like onions and sausages, which were almost nonexistent. And to top it all, the bill was much higher.
I'm sorry, but a few years ago the quality was superior in every way.
27/12/2025: What an amazing experience. It is down stairs from our apartment and saw this very busy place. We took a chance and had a very unique meal.

One of the best pizzas I've ever eaten, the kind where you leave absolutely nothing on the surface, and you're almost tempted to mop up the sauce (made with mussel sauce, perhaps a little more than the clam sauce!) with that soft and flavorful crust.
Definitely worth a try if you're in the area and craving pizza!

08/01/2026: Today I drank the most expensive latte in all of Italy, even in an average bar. The bar is on the outskirts, not in the center, and not even a classy bar, and the latte alone cost 2.90. The day before, in a bar in the center of Sassari, a latte and a croissant cost 3.30. I can only explain this by the fact that they are located 50 meters from the hospital, and they profit from the people who stop there for a drink or something to eat.

03/03/2025: Lo conosco da qualche hanno ma la qualità dei cibi è rimasta sempre ad altissimo livello. Merita una visita e poi ritorni!
12/01/2025: Siamo andati in 4 ieri sera (11/01/25) com prenotazione fatta da diversi gorni, ordinati i piatti che ci hanno portato dopo un'ora, di cui due braciole: in un piatto una sola braciola (che dobeva essrre 500gr forse se era 150gr è tanto) e nell'altro piatto due braciole, non si capisce il senso, entrambe stracotte, dure, la picanha anche questa stracotto, e una spigola, patate fritte inguardabili e fredde, allola richiesta di una coca cola e c'è statao risposto "non ne ho", servizio lento e pessimo, piatti arrivati dopo un'ora e persone in due marito e moglie antipatici, come prezzo superiore alla media dato che come conto è arrivato 200euro.. Sconsiglio vivamente, se non avete più voglia chiudete, ci hanno rovinato la serata oltre che la cena!
