05/06/2026: When you dream of finding that one amazing restaurant while you're visiting Italy... you've found it, it's Taberna Santona. I walked in on a Friday evening not long after they opened. I'd read many great reviews and was nervous that the place would be fully booked, but to my surprise there was a choice of tables both inside and outside. All the staff spoke Italian with me and one server even kindly told me I spoke well, which I really appreciated because it means a lot to hear that from a native speaker. Everyone was pleasant, no one seemed impatient or uncaring. Tourists were treated as kindly as locals. Staff checked in a few times to see how everything was, including the owner (I think) who seemed genuinely pleased to hear that people were enjoying their food. I had the insalata normanna, which was an interesting mix of things i never would've thought to combine in one dish, but it worked very well. I thought the onion was a little overpowering but that was a minor detail. I then had the couscous Carlofortina which was also quite good. Both dishes were light yet still enough to make for a solid meal. Everyone raves about the chocolate cake, rightfully so because it was so good I got a second piece to bring with me. Get it with caramel and whipped cream. I'm not normally a caramel fan but i impulsively said yes when asked if i wanted it. this caramel tasted divine, not like it came from a jar. All the desserts are homemade too. The people seated next to me were talking about how delicious the panna cotta was. Places like these are what you'll remember months and years after your visit, and i hope to be able to come back soon. Grazie mille per tutto 😋🍽🩷

16/06/2026: After more than 30 minutes, we still hadn't ordered, and after more than an hour, nothing had arrived at the table... when the food arrived, I hoped it had never arrived. Terrible in every way.

14/06/2026: You absolutely must eat at this superb restaurant! It's beautiful and incredibly delicious. We both ordered the tasting menu for €29.90, which is really inexpensive considering the generous portions! We were stuffed, and the suckling pig was absolutely DELICIOUS 😍🙏

23/02/2026: I came here for a hot drink and quality pastries. The bar is welcoming and spacious, with plenty of seating both inside and outside. The staff is professional. I recommend this place! A positive experience!

18/11/2025: The informal place looks like a simple bar. But upon entering, you immediately notice the warm and friendly welcome. Luciana and Fabrizio are two people who are very attentive to service and customer needs. From breakfast to lunch and aperitifs, they are exceptional. The excellent cuisine is equal to, and sometimes superior to, a restaurant. Definitely worth a try. We have become regulars. Thanks to Fabrizio and Luciana.

08/07/2026: Cool restaurant, smart menu with an endless list of pizzas. Unlike competitors, they always offer freshly baked focaccia and additional special dishes, like these squid ink linguine with crunchy saffron courgette bites (bit overcooked in my case). Food quality is above average but could be better, good service.

07/07/2026: Very nice restaurant. We had a wonderful meal. Excellent pizza, and the Cannonau beef tagliata with baked potatoes was really good, cooked to perfection. Excellent service, the waiter was kind and really knowledgeable. Thank you, we had a wonderful time.

03/07/2026: Excellent restaurant, better than I remembered, especially the juicy, well-balanced grilled meats and delicious roast potatoes. Their tiramisu is amazing; everyone at the table raved about it; the Bavarian cream was good, although the zabaglione was barely noticeable. Average prices, fresh pasta used for most of the first courses, plenty of outdoor seating. (Pizzas are only served at dinner.)

21/06/2026: Located in the heart of Sassari, easy to get to. An exceptional restaurant housed in a historic building, a 19th-century stable. Spacious dining room, impeccable service, and outdoor seating. Traditional and international cuisine.

30/10/2025: Industrial area. Free reserved parking. Sheltered but not enclosed outdoor garden. Meat and fish menu, salads, and desserts. Pizzas in the evening. Prices are the same as in the city center. Groups are welcome on Friday evenings from around 10 pm.

29/10/2025: After a long time, I stopped by your place for lunch. The situation was much better. I'm changing my review to 5 stars on everything. ☺️

In this deliberately simple yet tidy and spotlessly clean restaurant, faine' takes center stage. In addition to this renowned specialty, you can also enjoy homemade desserts prepared with care and passion. Qualified and friendly staff and an exceptional owner make all the difference. Highly recommended.

31/03/2026: A very simple but truly satisfying dinner! The faine was excellent and the portions generous (neither of us finished our portion, so they let us take the rest home). The waiters were friendly and helpful, and the prices were reasonable. We'll definitely be back if we're in Sassari again!
