05/07/2026: Would only recommend booking here if you want your nice lake holiday to be a stressful experience! Two hours after check-in had already opened, while we were on our way to the hotel, we received a message (outside of the official Booking.com platform) informing us that our room was no longer available and that we had been moved to a different hotel. We were given no choice in the matter and no offer of a refund.
We understand that unexpected issues can happen. However, the replacement hotel was over 15 minutes away in a less desirable area, and both the toilet and air conditioning in our room barely worked. We were repeatedly told it was a "4-star hotel," but that did not reflect our experience.
From what we could see, even the nicest room at the replacement hotel cost at least €75 less per night than the room we had booked at Hotel Alessi. When we made the simple request to see a receipt showing what Hotel Alessi had paid for the replacement room so we could understand the price difference, both hotels refused despite multiple requests in person and by email. They would only show us the receipt for what we had paid to Hotel Alessi.
When we requested a partial refund, we were offered a small amount of cash—far less than the apparent difference in value—and were asked not to report the situation to Booking.com. That alone raised serious concerns.
To make matters worse, the explanation for why our reservation was cancelled kept changing. First we were told that another guest had extended their stay. Then we were told the bathroom in our room had flooded. Finally, we were told the hotel had simply been overbooked.
Overall, the entire experience felt extremely unprofessional and lacking in transparency. Whether due to poor management or something else, we were left paying for a premium hotel while being moved to a significantly cheaper and lower-quality one, with no clear explanation and no fair compensation. I would not book here again.

25/06/2026: I ate here several times because, of several restaurants, it was the best in terms of product/price ratio. The staff was also very friendly, polite, and attentive. I can highly recommend it. What you get for the price is justified. Other restaurants are more expensive. This price (which I mentioned) includes everything.

08/06/2026: Unfortunately, a huge disappointment.
The Caesar salad bore little resemblance to a classic Caesar salad. Instead of the typical dressing, it simply contained vinegar, oil, and five small dollops of avocado cream (?).
The pizza was, sadly, the worst we've had at Lake Garda. The toppings were very unevenly distributed and consisted partly of large lumps, making it neither visually appealing nor tasty. This is all the more surprising since the pizza at the neighboring restaurant, Il Porti (?), was delicious.
The steak was okay, but definitely not worth the price in my opinion.
Overall, the price-performance ratio is completely off for me. I wouldn't visit this restaurant again.
However, the service was particularly disappointing. Actually, one should ask: What service? No one was attentive or present. No one asked if we wanted more drinks or if we enjoyed our meal – the latter probably because they didn't want to hear the answer.

28/06/2026: The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, the mixed fried fish was excellent, and the pizza was delicious. My husband and I were seated for two, overlooking the lake.
24/06/2026: My wife and I had grilled fish; she had the Garda trout and I had the sea bass. Both were excellent! The service was exceptionally good and the ambiance simply wonderful (a side street with a view of the lake). We'll be back!

26/04/2026: Great experience. We stayed 2 nights and had a great time. I think it's in a great location, halfway between Desenzano and Sirmione. It has a lovely garden and a decent pool. The staff was excellent, very professional and friendly.

25/07/2026: Average doesn't quite do it justice. A chicken salad for €15 without any seasoning—just a bowl of unmixed ingredients. The pasta with ragu was also unseasoned. I guess it's standard practice that you have to season everything yourself—and that would be fine, but not at these prices.
The pizza was the most reasonable, although it was a bit hard and uncut, so the child couldn't manage it on his own.
The waitress who finished her cigarette, sat down two tables away, and watched us eat was the killer.
I'm not giving a one-time price because we ate everything, so it wasn't too bad—but we went back to the apartment for coffee...
But if you're not starving, you'll find something tastier or better priced in town.
20/07/2026: My daughter (5) had to go to the bathroom urgently, which was denied to her. Very rude.

12/09/2025: Just had the value menu - absolutely delicious and fantastic value for money! Service was friendly and welcoming. Selected the local wine, Benaco Bresciano Rosso, and was not disappointed. Meal for two with wine was £65. Location is next to the main road but it did not spoil our experience.
12/09/2025: I had a wonderful dining experience at the lakeside restaurant. The refined dishes, carefully presented, delighted my palate. The staff was always courteous and helpful, ensuring impeccable service. The atmosphere made the experience even more enjoyable and memorable. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a quality dining experience.

19/07/2025: Less than 1 star isn't an option!
The visit was at the beginning of April 2025.
This experience reminds me that reviews do carry some weight.
Firstly, the wait for the food was exorbitant, even though we were the only guests at the time. It wasn't peak season yet.
I ordered homemade lasagna – it was lukewarm and had several bones in it!!! After complaining, and without any explanation, the second homemade lasagna arrived ages later. This one was boneless, but still completely frozen inside!!!
And I had to wait about 20 minutes for that.
My partner had ordered grilled vegetables and received them in the meantime.
Mind you – the meal consisted of three lukewarm strips of zucchini and some bread.
When we pointed this out, they suddenly didn't understand us anymore. So I switched to Italian, and then the waiter suddenly seemed embarrassed.
By the way, the boss/manager, or whatever that person was who ultimately got the money, was behaving so inappropriately. He stood by the building the whole time with shady characters, smoking incessantly and making fun of the "German guests." Too bad I understand German.
At least I didn't have to pay for the lasagna. Which I would have refused to do anyway. In the end, we left the place hungry and with a life lesson learned.
PLEASE - EAT SOMEWHERE ELSE. PLEASE!
19/07/2025: ABSOLUTELY AVOID!
This is the kind of disaster that happens when you don't read reviews beforehand... Even one star is too much! The food was like something you'd get in a bad cafeteria: the grilled vegetables consisted of three reheated zucchini slices with a little bread. The homemade lasagna was also microwaved, as it was still partially frozen inside. And let's not even talk about the taste.
Never again!

15/07/2025: Siamo passati tante volte davanti a questo ristorante ed ho sempre pensato di volerlo provare. Avevo ragione! Abbiamo mangiato bene, in tranquillità, accolti e serviti con cortesia e vista lago. Pesce fresco, buon vino e conto adeguato. Siamo già stati due volte e ci torneremo presto!
22/06/2025: Durante un mio soggiorno per lavoro, mi è stato consigliato sia come ristorante che come pizzeria.
Nel mio caso ho optato per la ristorazione.
Cibo buono, personale molto cortese, ambiente discreto.
Consigliato!

29/06/2025: Este fue un gran hallazgo, lejos de la locura junto al lago y algunos de los restaurantes centrados en el turismo. Está en la esquina de una plaza y la noche que la encontramos había una banda tocando y el ambiente era genial.
Cenamos, el menú no es enorme, pero todavía era difícil de elegir, ya que todo parecía delicioso. Luego está la carta de vinos, que es vasta, pero el personal es increíblemente bien informado y ayudará con las selecciones con su plato. Después de nuestra primera comida que reservamos para más tarde en la semana (nuestro aniversario de boda), pero no podíamos esperar tanto para volver así que tuvimos otra visita antes de entonces!
Durante las 3 visitas tuvimos chapuzones, varios platos de pasta, bistec, bolas de berenjena y postres, todos los cuales eran increíbles. También creo que tuve la mejor botella de prosecco durante nuestra visita a este restaurante. La pasta de sardina es una especialidad y las alcaparras fritas en ella eran increíbles!
El equipo allí es bien informado y servicial, hablan buen inglés y se siente como un lugar muy hogareño, tradicional.

El aperitivo era bueno, pero la red / prima piatti era un poco soso.
Tiramisu sabía bien!

24/05/2025: Ristorantino semplice ma curato in cui già in passato avevamo mangiato bene. Il menu di pesce di lago ci ha deliziati. Perfetto il vino proposto. Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo. La cortesia e professionalità del personale è un plus (non si trova facilmente una addetta alla sala così solerte e gentile). La simpatia travolgente del gestore fa il resto! Arrivederci a presto! Ora è sempre…Rombo di Tuono!
10/04/2025: Cercato (e trovato) un ristorante per cena e chiacchiere con amici. Piatti ottimi, pesce di lago servito benissimo, primi di buona qualità. Consigliato per mangiare bene senza “spendere” per la vista lago - anche se il lago è letteralmente a due passi!

Pizza cotta a legna, molto sottile e con il bordo croccante,buona la scelta delle varie versioni da scegliere. L'ambiente è semplice e molto in stile familiare. Consiglio se si ama proprio un ambiente tranquillo, nome nomen
