09/09/2025: Honestly, we had booked at another restaurant, but due to our delay, our table was given to someone else. Fair enough, no fuss, in fact, thank you! We discovered this place, seemingly anonymous from abroad but welcoming, intimate, and elegant inside, specifically in the courtyard. Indeed, upon entering, we find a hallway with the cash register, the restrooms (clean and tidy), the kitchen, and then the restaurant area with a beautiful, well-kept, and quiet internal courtyard. The dishes are well-presented and flavorful. Excellent wine selection. Coffee in the Moka pot at the table. Attentive service. Prices in line with the aforementioned setting. Recommended.
07/09/2025: The best restaurant in Sarzana, without a doubt. The location is very pleasant, with the added bonus of dining in a lovely garden. All the staff are very welcoming, and customers are well looked after. In addition to the well-designed menu, this restaurant strives to ensure customers receive only the highest quality, freshest ingredients. For this reason, the prices are completely in line with the offerings. Ottone I was a truly wonderful discovery. Kudos to the entire staff, keep up the good work!

04/10/2025: In a typical Sarzana street, a welcoming place with brick vaults, you're greeted by a lady with a foreign accent, quick and efficient.
The bread basket was very good, with three varieties, as well as focaccia.
For wine, a half bottle of Chianti.
The round steak as an appetizer was excellent, as were the grilled fillet and the partially boned pigeon, both accompanied by vegetables and baked potatoes.
The meat was excellent and well-cooked.

06/09/2025: The setting is certainly impressive: the loggia of an old stately building in the historic center of Sarzana. The food is certainly good, the prices are fair, the service is attentive, and there's room for improvement in customer service and delivery times.
23/08/2025: We visited this restaurant on Saturday evening. The food was good and well-presented, but unfortunately, everything else ruined the experience.
Upon arrival, we were told that our reservation "wasn't recorded," even though it had been confirmed over the phone. After a somewhat annoyed attitude, they seated us at an unset table with a dirty and wet tablecloth. A truly terrible welcome.
Long waits may be understandable on a Saturday evening, but the staff's professionalism was almost nonexistent: one waitress brought our coffee without a tray, holding the cup with her finger right where the customer is supposed to drink. Unacceptable from every perspective.
The icing on the cake came when we got the bill: we paid €197 in cash, but when we asked for a receipt, we were handed a ready-made one, taken from a pile of receipts near the register. The receipt read €195, with a different time and clearly not related to our table. This was inappropriate and lacking transparency.
It's a shame, because the food is worth it, but with such poor service and questionable practices, we certainly won't be returning, and we can't recommend this place.
