03/09/2025: Very refined, nice decor and very friendly service

03/09/2025: This was a really mixed experience. Lows: - My pregnant wife being served raw then undercooked langoustine successively. (It was a dish served undercooked but the waiter recommended it as an option reassuring us that they could modify the recipe to cook the langoustine through. My impression was that the chefs did not agree and stubbonly refused to cook the shellfish to a temperature suitable for a pregnant woman!) - Very strong flavour contrasts which mostly didn't work. (Mackerel with onion chutney, scorpion fish with a highly pungent bisque sauce, squid with an intense sabzi-esque dried spinach sauce, grouper with a fancy version of hoi sin sauce.) Really intense flavours which totally overwhelmed the fish. I wonder if perhaps the chef doesnt actually like fish? Certainly they are not interested in maximising the flavour of the fish served, but masking it with intense sauces. Or maybe the chef is a heavy smoker? And has lost the subtler parts of their palette. Regardless - most of the dishes, while interesting, were not actually nice or enjoyable to eat. - The price. The price undoubtedly reflects the considerable effort put into this food. But it feels more like a work in progress menu. Paying such a high price (€100 pp) stings when you don't really enjoy the majority of what you are eating. - Tiny amount of fish on each dish. (Except for the cerviche appetiser which was very generous). Highs: - The waiter was lovely and attentive. - The decor is beautiful and really imaginatively done - The wine is excellent and the waiter recommended great wines to go with the fish. - The first amuse bouche and the last (a selection of tiny pattiserie to be eaten in a specific order) were really outstanding and delicious. - The gurnard cerviche with grapefruit juice was the one time when the intense flavour contrasts worked brilliantly. It was  impressive and delicious. Overall, if you have money to burn and you want a bit of an adventure, then maybe this will be fun. But if you want to to guarentee enjoying everything - go somewhere more affordable which cooks things more simply and traditionally in a way which emphasises the flavour profile of the fish and almost certainly gives you more than a mouthful of fish per course!

15/09/2025: I've lived in Ravenna forever, and I've always known about this place but had never been. From now on, I'll be a regular. The food is excellent, the place is beautiful, and the garden is a real gem. Everyone was friendly. I'd definitely try it and come back. Enjoy your meal.

11/10/2025: Every time we pass through Cervia, we stop in. They make excellent gluten-free piadina, the staff is nice, and the service is fast.

08/10/2025: I went with my girlfriend, who is gluten intolerant. The piadina and crescione were exceptional. Hard to believe they were gluten-free! They also have several types of gluten-free beer. The menu was extensive and varied! The staff was young, attentive, and very kind.

19/10/2025: We found this restaurant on Google. We had a great time! We had the gnocchi with calamari, shrimp, and cherry tomatoes, which were plentiful and delicious! The same goes for the roast skewers, served with a side dish of your choice; in this case, we opted for delicious roast potatoes. Dinner ended with pistachio ice cream with Cervia salt... delicious! They have a good selection of wines. Excellent quality fish! Highly recommended, with fair prices! If we were to ever be in the area again, it would be our choice!

23/09/2025: Michelin-starred restaurant, please. But at very affordable prices, unlike many of this type. Sophisticated and refined cuisine. Impeccable service. The terrace is tiny, so make a reservation! Again, one of the few restaurants in tourist towns in this region that serves real cuisine.

19/09/2025: In terms of food quality, it's a guarantee! This time, however, I have to say that the waitress wasn't the friendliest. Overall, the service was very good, except for a few responses that, in my opinion, were inappropriate.

13/10/2025: Excellent Sunday lunch, helped by the weather, still outdoors. The menu was excellent, making it difficult to choose. The wine cellar is varied and well-stocked. The courtesy and friendliness of the staff was an added bonus. I will definitely be back.

12/10/2025: Excellent accommodation and cuisine. Plus, a great location for cycling! Everything is just a short bike ride away, from the sea to the Tuscan Apennines. The people of Romagna are masters of hospitality.

08/10/2025: My wife and I enjoyed our time immensely! The staff and family were more than friendly and kind. When first checking in the owner even gave her parking space to us (I was floored by her kindness). The breakfast was solid and the restaurant was a nice and good value. I highly recommend the hotel.

14/09/2025: Always an experience!!! The raw fish is spectacular, sweet and delicate. Dinner includes a raw fish dish without shellfish, two first courses: chitarra with lobster, and a bottle of Sauvignon. Super-stocked wine cellar, excellent service from the staff.

06/10/2025: A small restaurant located in the center of Brisighella, it's unique for its atmosphere and the very friendly owner. Delicious food and average prices.

28/09/2025: A truly magical dinner at Stryx. Excellent food, cooked with skill, care, and attention. A vast selection of wines, explained with passion and expertise. The dishes were also explained by someone who knows all the ingredients and how they were cooked. The focaccia was truly special. And the rest... I won't tell you much about it, because I'm sure every customer's story will be different. For me, it was simply magical. If I have the pleasure of returning to Brisighella, I will definitely dine at Stryx (don't miss the explanation of why it got its name).

15/09/2025: We shared the polpo antipasto. It was yummy, but the octopus was chewy. This is a difficult protein, so we just enjoyed the flavor. Then we shared the passatelli with Parmesan cream and truffles. It was delicious. Then for the secondi’s I had the pork cheek and my wife had the veal. While both were good, the sauces were so salty, we had to work to get the meat out of the sauces. This just should not happen. All sauces should be tasted by the chef.
