20/11/2024: What can I say, a typical restaurant, typical cuisine, a unique place to taste true traditional dishes. THE LEGEND OF "EL GATT" A long fishing tradition, a cat and an old nickname. The history of this restaurant, located right in front of the sea along the Adriatic coast, has its roots in the most authentic Marotta, that of a family of fishermen who decided to open the doors of their home, and above all of their kitchen, to friends and relatives as a place of waiting and refreshment: this is why conviviality is one of the values ​​that distinguish us. There is a story of a faithful cat who waited for his owner on the beach every evening to enjoy the flavors of the sea. After the death of the previous owner, the restaurant was taken over by two young sisters who continued the tradition and understood and carried forward its most characteristic features by offering genuine cuisine, foods and drinks from the rich Marche region and the generous Adriatic sea. When entering "El Gatt" don't expect large anonymous rooms and sterile tables but rather an old Trattoria del Pesce setting with vats, anchors, the blue of the sea and the brown of the wood, an intimate atmosphere in which to enjoy your food in company. The value of waiting is fueled by the knowledge that each food is freshly prepared and cooked for you. 18/03/2025: We had lunch at this restaurant on the recommendation of friends. Excellent advice because we ate really well. To start we tried the complete appetizer, a combination of flavors and expertly presented. For the main course we chose: fillet of sea bass with vegetables and cream of potatoes with clams and grilled calamari with puntarelle and anchovy sauce, very tasty. A side dish of sautéed herbs, wine and a dessert with a bottle of bubbles from the Marche region complete the lunch for a cost of €50. The staff was friendly and attentive, always available to explain the dishes. The restaurant is well-kept and relaxing. Now all that remains is to return to try the first courses too.

This does not mean that Il Punto does not guarantee the tourist or family to provide the same. A good cold appetizer, an excellent fish carbonara and a perfect and digestible fried calamari and prawns underlined the excellent quality/price of the lunch. Congratulations to the Il Punto staff made up of true professionals in the sector. You will definitely see us again soon!

18/02/2025: I would like to point out that the opinion does not concern the hotel: I have only been to the restaurant, so I have no idea what the hotel structure is like. The restaurant is simply horrifying, one of the worst I've ever been to for the attention to raw materials: in the tagliolini with seafood there were uncleaned mussels, with barnacles and other stringy rubbish that were truly horrifying, ok they are boiled, but leaving the horror on the plate doesn't help the desire. During the grill, a prawn was simply melted, clearly spoiled and had a consistency similar to milk: it was enough to try to open the carapace to notice a gelatinous substance coming out, I didn't even have the courage to taste it. Last but not least, the semi-liquid tiramisu with an acidic flavor which concluded a lunch that definitely fell short of any quality standard. I would like to recommend greater attention to the quality (and quantity) of food and raw materials.

09/08/2024: I've been having breakfast here in the summer for several years, exceptional pastries and savory dishes, the coffee latte is subliminal, and the courtesy of the people who work there would make you come back every time you pass by the place.
