03/02/2026: A 360° sensory experience! The ambiance embraces you with its scent of wood and its welcoming yet modern and designer style, the Alpine scent of wood. The managers, Luca and Martina, are truly kind and professional, driven by their love for what they do. They pay the utmost attention to detail, not only in the dishes themselves. Every single ingredient is refined and unique. The tasting experience is truly exquisite. What can I say...it's almost perfection! Highly recommended!

03/02/2026: A wonderful experience!!!! As soon as we entered, we were enveloped by the scent of Alpine wood, the warm atmosphere, and meticulous attention to detail. Martina made us feel right at home right away🥰 Luca's cuisine is refined and authentic, made with local products showcased with great care... we ate divinely ✨ A place that truly delights all five senses!! Highly recommended!!!

03/01/2026: A restaurant right on the slopes, at the base of the slopes, serving simple yet tasty dishes. Good value for money. What surprised me was that despite there being no table service and the long queue, everything, from receipt to food pickup, was handled fairly quickly. The place was crowded (January 1st), so some difficulty finding a table is to be expected, but a more than positive experience.

The complaints in the negative comments should be more objective and take all factors into account! Highly recommended! The pizzoccheri are dreamy! PS: The only lodge open on September 28th in Val Zebrù!

26/09/2025: We passed by on July 23rd: we had booked a refuge, but along the trail a family recommended we stop here for the quality of the food. I can 100% confirm that the food is excellent: the tiramisu, in particular, is among the best I've ever tasted, if not the best. Highly recommended! A place to return to not only for the food, but also for the scenery and the warm welcome from the owners.

02/01/2026: We came here with high expectations given the reviews, but what can I say? It was a truly negative experience for us. The appetizer was acceptable (I've had better), the pizzoccheri was far too thick and poorly bound together, and the tagliatelle with mushrooms couldn't be classified; they were tough, short, and very thick—in short, they were anything but tagliatelle. The venison stew tasted good, but the meat was a bit tough. They call it home cooking, and all I can say is, "You guys ate really badly at your house." I can't rate the dessert because, after the owner's sarcasm, she was offended by my comment that the tagliatelle weren't exactly to our liking (we left the plate whole), we decided to leave. P.S. It's a shame because the location is very beautiful.

31/12/2025: Incredible. This place offers an intimate and authentic experience that's very hard to find. The food is excellent, with the fireplace blazing. Among the diners are hikers, expert skiers who avoid eating at altitude, and locals who talk about Valtellina. The entrance to the upper floor is mystical; you ascend through a seemingly secret door, only to find the dining area bustling with life. The food is homemade, the prices exceptional, and the service extremely friendly. A gem worth preserving.

17/09/2025: We've been back a couple of times already, not to stay, but for dinner: exquisite home-made products. We also tried Taroz (a traditional Valtellina dish, now hard to find). The owners are lovely and friendly. Highly recommended.

02/09/2025: I confirm the positive things I've already said. Wonderful location between Gavia and Santa Caterina. Stunning views. Everyone is friendly and smiling. Trust their recommendations, the specials of the day... but save room for the mixed cheese platter (superb cheeses) and, of course, the desserts made with their milk. The mountain hut is also a halfway point/stop on hiking trails. You can't miss it. I'll definitely return and recommend it.

24/10/2025: A very positive experience. We stayed in early August. The place was charming, with a breathtaking view, lots of greenery, and a playground for the kids. They had just changed management, but the place was still simple, clean, and well-maintained. The owners, Sara and Paola, were very welcoming, helpful, knowledgeable, and very kind. We felt like we were staying with family; the food was good and plentiful, and especially made with local produce. We'll definitely be back.

06/09/2025: A refuge with decent rooms; you have to make do, but the scenery and location more than make up for it! Half board with only two options for starters and main courses. Simple dishes, typical of a refuge, with delicious desserts!

13/08/2025: This was our first time at this family-run hotel in the city center, with spacious and spotless rooms, exceptional service, and excellent and plentiful cuisine. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, but we especially appreciate the owners' friendliness and helpfulness. Recommended for those seeking a relaxing stay, a family vacation immersed in nature, and also for those who love hiking, as it's a great starting point for many walks.

13/09/2025: This has become a regular stop since our motorcycle tour of Gavia. The food is always good, with excellent service and excellent quality. The prices are in line with all this.

03/01/2026: Excellent food with typical dishes and specialties. Friendly place with friendly staff and fast service (even with a full room) gets full marks. I didn't try the pizza because it wasn't available that evening (January 31st), but the cuisine was highly recommended.
