30/07/2024: It was an experience, the wines were lovely and the food was beautiful. The area is stunning, and it was a lovely evening. The only reason this isn’t a 5 star is we would have liked to have had more information on the wines we had purchased.

21/07/2024: Nice spot I’d heard loads about with rave reviews, left me in total disappointment. The wine flight was fine, but there weren’t many local wines and the server didn’t seem interested in offering details or selections to include on the tasting board. I also got the charcuterie plate which was good, nice variety of snacks. But then it seems as though I was forgotten about in preference to a larger party (the only other people there). It took me standing up after waiting nearly half an hour to get someone’s attention and at that point I just decided to pay and leave. What a shame… it would have been nice to discuss the wines more in depth and perhaps purchased some bottles to take home with me but I guess my single-person money was not as good as everyone else’s. Unfortunately I can’t recommend the service at all. They just don’t care… go if you’re looking for the instagram photos and somewhere to drink, but don’t bother if you’re actually into wine and looking for a more all around experience. Really a shame.

20/08/2024: A villa worth the detour! Both for its garden and its interior. The history of the owners is very interesting and the view is breathtaking. Don’t hesitate to ask about special rates because as a student we paid less!

19/08/2024: Amazing, much better than Villa del Balbianello. More affordable, less crowded, no queue, and a beautiful Villa and garden. I 100% recommend visiting, if you are visiting lake Como. I felt sad for the little turtles which were in the sun all day, so I went to complain to the receptionist but sadly no one cared… I hope the turtles will survive the hot sun.

07/12/2024: You really must dine at La Fagurida! My husband and I got married in Lake Como this summer and we hosted our rehearsal dinner at this lovely restaurant. We live in the US and had never visited the restaurant before, so it was a bit of a risk, but it was beyond perfect - there isn’t a single thing we would change about our experience. Lello was so wonderful to work with and he and his staff made everything so special for us and our guests. The food is AMAZING. Beef filet, rabbit, and all the local fare was absolutely delicious and so reasonably priced for our party. The food is some of the best and most authentic in the area, and the ambiance is cozy and feels like home and the view of the lake is breathtaking. I hope if you’re looking for a delicious, authentic, charming place to eat in Tremezzo, you visit La Fagurida. We can’t wait to go back on our next trip to Lake Como!

23/11/2024: Very nice place both in winter with the closed veranda and in summer with the terraces overlooking the lake... Housed in a very characteristic stone house. The rabbit and polenta are recommended

05/12/2024: What an elegant space 👏 everything about this hotel is impressive but this restaurant in particular is an absolute pleasure to dine at. Magnificent views overlooking the lake, romantic set-up, welcoming and pleasant staff. Our main and desert dishes were prepared tableside which was both educational and very entertaining and ofcourse delicious. The wine list is also 👌 Perfect night, thank you.

18/09/2024: A really beautiful place of history and a very comfortable sleep. The host was very helpful and we were able to find everything and check in easily. There are steps to consider for anyone with mobility issues be aware of that. We found it charming and lovely. The views onto the lake are incredible and only a short walk to get breakfast from the Glam Cafe great coffee and pastries and we also had a cocktail there the night we arrived . We enjoyed it!

09/09/2024: DON'T BOTHER STAYING HERE... The hotel let me down on two occasions. The first being during our late evening check-in when we were given the keys to a room that already had guests inside. It made us feel uncomfortable and extremely unsafe had the guests assume we were intruders posing a threat to their family and exposure into their private lives. We were exhausted after a long trip from Paris and carrying our luggage up the steep ramp and up the lengthy stairs. We tried several other doors using the same door code with no luck. I attempted several times to contact the hotel via the app with no response. I made numerous efforts to contact Booking.Com with their process redirected me back to the hotel agent messaging service that was not responding. We were exhausted, stressed, and with rain predicted we decided to seek alternative options. My wife went by herself on a dark road to find someone that has mobile coverage to ring the hotel agent while I investigated nearby accommodation with all local venues booked out. Eventually after about 35-40min the hotel contacted me and explained he made an error in rooms with a new code given. He apologized yet took no remorse for what we went through and became defensive when I mentioned compensating me for this major mishap. The second incident occurred the next day late afternoon after a long day in the cold rain coming home to unwind and prepare for dinner. There was no hot water. I messaged the hotel and he mentioned for me to wait 30minutes as he restarted the boiler and again apologized. We both missed out on showers that evening and went to bed looking forward to our checkout the next day. The issue I have with booking.com is they did not add any value in my situation when it matters. They were not there to support or guide me at all. This raises major concerns why I am using booking.com, apart from the booking convenience..
