21/03/2026: Must do place in Bellagio if you are into wine. Servers are fantastic, snacks are fantastic, owner is fantastic, and they have the entire Italian wine scene in stock. Owner will walk you through his personal selections and build you a custom case of wine shipped to your door. Went for a glass, left with a case!

18/03/2026: Had the best experience with Matteo and Samu!! We did two wine tastings and a meat/cheese board which was delicious. Their knowledge of wine was so interesting and they are very friendly. Highly recommend coming here if you like wine and cheese!

25/02/2026: It was the only place open (and decent compared to the others) in Bellagio that February evening for food. It was nice, the price was reasonable, and the wine was very good! The food was okay, nothing special, but it did the job! The cheese was great too. The lasagna was okay, nothing special. We didn't try anything else. The servers were very, very kind and friendly; we loved it! In short, when almost everything else is closed in Bellagio, it's a great place to eat!

15/02/2026: Amazing place, great selection of wines and super friendly staff. The waiters also seem to be very knowledgeable. We left the place full and happy. Only one question remains: who was the tough dude painted on the left wall, next to Bowie? 😅

02/11/2025: We enjoyed every second in Salice Blu! The food, the service, and the environment are wonderful that if we visit Lake Como again, it’s a must-revisit restaurant. The wine pairing is amazing as well! I stayed in Lake Como for 5 days and it’s the BEST restaurant during my stay.

18/12/2025: A cute, small, quiet, and slightly secluded alleyway from the bustling center of Bellagio. There's plenty of seating inside and outside, so it won't be too crowded. Reservations aren't necessary. I recommend the outdoor area. It's very Italian and sweet. The appetizer, main course, and dessert were impeccable, and the staff were very attentive! The food was prepared quickly and deliciously. The drinks, including cocktails, are also highly recommended. Highly recommended if you're in Bellagio on Lake Como.

01/12/2025: Very nice local spot. We tried N#3 and N#4. Both were tasty and satisfying. Bread was fresh and crunchy. Filling was not too much, just enough to add flavor, which makes it feel more authentic and not americanized. Their cappuccino was also great; and they put the effort to make latte art, which I appreciate. Is it the best sandwich spot I have ever tried? No, but it is a great one that is worth visiting if you’re in Bellagio.

They decide to go further: they give you the view and then throw dishes onto the table that seem to want to compete with it. And they win. Incredible from beginning to end.

25/12/2025: I photographed a wedding at Villa Serbelloni, and it is an absolutely iconic location on Lake Como. The views over the lake are breathtaking, with classic elegance and a timeless atmosphere throughout the property. The gardens are beautifully maintained and very scenic, perfect for portraits and ceremonies. The villa itself is stunning both outside and inside, with refined interiors and a true sense of history. As a photographer, I found this location incredibly inspiring. One of the most elegant and recognizable wedding venues on Lake Como.

03/02/2026: A great experience at a restaurant dedicated to fish, but which also caters to vegans and meat lovers. Good value for money, generous portions, and a very decent wine list.

17/01/2026: A lovely spot away from the noise, in a stunning location with beautiful views of the lake and mountains. The food was quite good, both the main course and the desserts. The waiter was very friendly, especially with our daughter; they even served her some amazing macaroni with tomato sauce that wasn't on the menu. We'll definitely be back.

04/01/2026: Beautiful location with a lake view, embarrassing service. After waiting—consciously—for a table for lunch, we order two glasses of wine, a pumpkin risotto, and a burrata. The dishes are literally "thrown" on the table by a waiter who doesn't even know who's supposed to serve them. I report the incident to the cashier, and the response is: "Unfortunately, it's crowded." As if rudeness were an inevitable consequence of the crowds. Final bill: about €60. We say our goodbyes politely, but the waiter, clearly annoyed, doesn't even return our greeting. The quality-to-service ratio is decidedly unacceptable. In places this touristy, you also pay for politeness, which here is completely absent.

03/01/2026: On our way to the hotel, Google Maps suggested taking a ferry to shorten our ETA by 1.5 hours. It turned out to be an excellent choice coming from Menaggio, we arrived by ferry just 100–200 metres from the hotel. During our road trip through Italy, we decided to spend New Year’s Eve in Bellagio and chose Hotel Du Lac. It was an excellent decision. Starting with the view from our room (room 44), which was absolutely outstanding—waking up in bed, we could admire the beautiful lake directly through the windows. The room had a small balcony, just big enough for two people to sit comfortably and enjoy the view with a drink. We were also very pleasantly surprised by the welcome gift for our little dog, which we truly appreciated. The room was spacious, as was the bathroom. Breakfast was very tasty and served in a glass-covered terrace with a spectacular lake view, no matter where you choose to sit. The hotel also has a bar downstairs, which is equally outstanding. We highly recommend this hotel. The only minor downside possibly due to the New Year period—was that the bar closed quite early, although everything else in the city was also closed. One negative aspect worth mentioning is that the hotel uses a very old-fashioned physical key system. This would not be an issue if the electricity could remain on when leaving the room; however, the power is controlled by a key holder attached to the room key, which can be inconvenient. Another important thing to keep in mind if you are arriving by car: you will be assigned a parking space in a garage that is very steep at the entrance and extremely narrow inside. The width of the garage gate is 2.34 metres (according to iPhone Measuring App). Our car is 2.03 metres wide with the mirrors open, so I strongly recommend arriving with as small a car as possible, as manoeuvring into the parking space can take some time. Overall, we spent an amazing New Year’s Eve and a wonderful stay at the hotel. We highly recommend it and will definitely return. The hotel was truly worth the money and that is exactly what we value.
