La Piadineria

25/01/2025: My piadina with ham, squacquerone and rocket was acceptable (score 6) but from a brand called 'Piadineria' I would expect a greater effort to, at least, get closer to the original piadina from Romagna and to offer higher quality.
This would be the least serious aspect. What I consider unforgivable was the rude manner in which one of the two waitresses, whom I had politely asked to suggest a piadina, treated me, given that I had not had the opportunity to consult the menu.
To drink the coffee I waited over five minutes after the request.
Overall my experience was unsatisfactory and I don't think I will return to this location.

25/01/2025: I bought the legend of raw squaccherone and rocket, the raw meat is difficult to chew and I'm still looking for the cheese, I'm from Lonato, it's the one that's there, it's top here in Montichiari, terrible experience, regards Mauro

la sensazione è quella di andare a casa di amici per cena, amici che non lesinano sulla spesa scegliendo cose buone e che sanno cucinare molto bene. Quello che troverai è una sorpresa proprio come quando vai dagli amici
" ti faccio assaggiare questo vino che ho trovato in una bella cantina" , anche la scelta dei vini è molto particolare ma molto interessante

24/02/2025: Pastry shop in front of the Montichiari fair centre. Simple environment. Furniture that has probably undergone some style changes. Without a defined personality. The fresh brioche without distinguishing itself in taste but within the norm. Tasteless pastry and cream. I compliment the hood. one of the best I've ever had. Fast service. Prices too high for the location. To be improved! And what kind of pastry shop is it without the smell of baked goods...

Here is one of the worst things that can be in a restaurant..... the spoken menu!!!!!
they come with a notebook and machine-gun you with the dishes, it's annoying.
I also noticed that the menu depends on who reads it to you, sometimes they skip some courses.
you choose.... And then you discover that, listening to what others list, you missed something.
mixed fish spaghetti: tasteless.
Lasagne: basically tomato lasagne pasta with traces of meat, a real insult to lasagna, ask for lasagne and it arrives tomato pasta.
Roast veal: nothing special.
Cod on the other hand was good, not much, but good.
Like everything else, tiny portions, you go out still a little hungry, let's say that a sandwich or a pizza is still there afterwards.

Very few tables to eat on site (breakfast) especially if you are in a hurry and you can't even get service at the counter
We went specifically to have breakfast from a nearby town but we had to go elsewhere as we had limited time and would have had to wait too long because there were other people waiting

09/03/2025: Good pastry shop, but I still don't understand when you pay the right price for a product how you can't have it filled with a warm/hot cream. I am often told that for safety it is stored in the cold and stuffed afterwards. But if the pastries are made in the morning and those that remain in the afternoon are thrown away (already included in the selling price) the problem does not exist. See pastry shops in the central south.

02/03/2025: It is not the first time that I go here with family and friends for an aperitif on the occasion of birthdays or various celebrations. The aperitif formula is very interesting, for €15 you can be abundantly satisfied with dishes for all tastes.
Too bad two things that in my opinion ruined the evening:
- the table next to mine was made up of around 10/13 people who shouted throughout the evening so much that I couldn't hear those sitting next to me. When we left we were exasperated: before leaving (so as not to ruin anyone's evening or annoy anyone) we reported this to those at the cash register and the response, in my opinion, was surprising: "It's like this at an aperitif". It is not very courteous and respectful towards paying customers to settle the matter without even showing understanding.
- I cleaned my saucer with a spoon previously used for another dish. In the chaos it can happen that you are too busy and messed up to manage everything but I certainly didn't appreciate it.
I won't go back, just because of the management, which is a shame because the aperitif formula is a winner.
