29/09/2025: Hello! We finally made it to this cafe. The previous two years, our visit coincided with their school holidays. The lovely employees explained the selection without speaking our language, and we without Italian. We ordered six types of ice cream and a gratta. It was delicious and exquisite. The cones were crisp and didn't get soggy from the ice cream. The interior was restrained, simple, and stylish. I loved it. Thank you so much!

09/09/2025: I ordered an ice cream cake for a birthday. I should point out that I'm from out of the region, but they still accommodated my requests completely. The staff and owner are incredibly kind... and the home delivery is a plus. I recommend everyone stop by; you won't regret it.

27/10/2025: Let's start with the good things: the service was acceptable, the prawns and mussels were passable, and the appetizer was too. The place is very small, but that's not the problem. Perhaps it would be bigger if the entrance wasn't cluttered with kitchen equipment: a water dispenser, a huge blast chiller right at the entrance, and a coffee machine. Okay, I guess these are choices dictated by necessity. We read the menu; nothing special. We order the seafood risotto: not paella, and certainly not 1kg of deconstructed white rice topped with mussels and prawns. And yet: that's exactly what we get. In a single paella pan for the whole table. It's announced with, "Here's the paella." Now, in gastronomy, names matter. I'm not going to go into what risotto and paella are; it doesn't matter now. Or rather, it matters a great deal, but in this context, it's decidedly superfluous. What matters is what we received: a generous 1 kg of parboiled white rice (probably with a generous amount of glutamate, i.e., a good bouillon cube), very boiled. Because it's different: well, because by boiling rice in abundant water, the starch dissolves, the rice loses body... And it doesn't form any internal creaminess. It's also certainly not creamed, not risotto-style... More details for connoisseurs, obviously. Obviously, we sent almost all of it back. "Do you want to take it home?" (They asked us twice). Me: "No, we'll ignore it." Then at a certain point, a woman from the kitchen (I assume the cook) comes out into the dining room and says to the waiters: "The kitchen is closed, I'm fed up..." (it was 1:45 PM). We, of course: message received. The waiter asks us: do you want anything else? Yes, the bill. €157. Two seafood appetizers (passable, it must be said) and a 1 kg pan of Carnaroli rice. Boiled rice. With mussels and prawns on top. Those were passable, too, it must be said. Oh well.

13/10/2025: Typical Ligurian dishes with the freshest fish. Generous portions and recipes interpreted with great care and passion. French-style outdoor seating.

09/11/2025: We celebrated a birthday in this beautiful, elegant, and intimate venue. The amazing cuisine won us over with its appetizers and the chef's special risottos. Excellent value. Highly recommended for those who want to enjoy traditional Ligurian dishes as well as original dishes. Last but not least, the table service was exceptional and courteous. An experience we absolutely must repeat, trying all the dishes on and off the menu.

26/10/2025: We definitely recommend Locanda Nelli for its carefully prepared, delicious dishes, made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. We chose the duck breast, tagliolini, and sea bass: everything was delicious. Even the dessert, freshly prepared by the owner, was very friendly and helpful, and she even accommodated our extra cravings, which weren't on the menu. The service was professional and friendly. We'll take a special memory of this delicious dinner back to Lake Garda with us.

While the ranch’s history is captivating, it’s the people who make this place truly stand out. Every single staff member I interacted with was incredibly friendly, super nice, and genuinely warm. They didn’t just process me; they took time to explain everything about the hotel, from the amenities available to the unique history of the location, making me feel instantly welcomed and valued. ​This level of dedication was demonstrated in small but crucial ways. For example, upon receiving my key card, a staff member proactively walked all the way to my room with me to make sure the door key worked perfectly on the first try. This kind of proactive service and attention to detail—making sure the guest is settled immediately—is a rare and remarkable trait. They were so personable that they even happily let me take a picture with them—a true sign of their open and welcoming spirit. Every staff member I met here was friendly and super nice. ​Beyond the extraordinary staff, the accommodations were equally fantastic. The room was very clean and exceptionally comfortable, making for a truly relaxing and great experience. The atmosphere is peaceful—there was no noise whatsoever, and the air was wonderfully fresh, with absolutely no trace of any smoke or unpleasant odors. ​Sierra Sky Ranch is more than just a place to book a room; it’s a restorative experience defined by historic elegance and unparalleled hospitality. For the spotless cleanliness, the comfortable rooms, and the absolutely superb staff, I highly recommend this hotel. It’s a great place to book and a standard-setter for customer care.

06/11/2025: What a charming and enchanting boutique hotel! It's quaint and rustic, yet still offers wonderful amenities. The lobby is filled with pieces of its history, and with the fireplace crackling, it felt like the perfect place to curl up with a good book and a glass of wine. Each evening, we looked forward to returning to enjoy the outdoor campfire with other guests and S'mores--such a special touch. The front desk staff were incredibly welcoming; they even walked us to our room and made sure we had all the information we needed about breakfast and morning coffee. You can tell they truly care about the details. The continental breakfast was surprisingly delightful, with a nice balance of fruit, protein, and carbs--and the coffee was genuinely good! It made for a perfect start before heading into the park to hike. The location is ideal too--only about 20 minutes from the South gate of Yosemite. The rooms are on the cozy side, but they had everything we needed. They were very clean, comfortable and inviting. Honestly, the only downside was having to leave and fly home. This place feels like a little special secret, and I absolutely cannot wait to return!

21/10/2025: Great view. Friendly welcome and good service. Unfortunately, the food wasn't "breathtaking." The appetizer (seafood) wasn't as fresh as we're used to near the sea, in our opinion. The main course was okay, but nothing like the many positive dining experiences we've had in Piedmont. There, we were always surprised by absolutely top-notch cuisine. It's a shame that we had rather negative experiences here. We won't be visiting the restaurant again.
