18/08/2026: Yet another reincarnation of this place (management has changed hands a lot over the years since I tried it in 1995 or '96 after reading a very positive review by Raspelli in La Stampa), and I have to say that perhaps A Ciappa has returned to its former glory. The dishes are moderately gourmet, perhaps the appetizers are a little bland (but better than too salty), and great attention is paid to the risottos, which are very good. The desserts are also good, perhaps only the mixed fried fish was "normal," lacking any flair, clearly to please tourists. The wines are markedly priced. An appetizer, risotto, and dessert with a drink will set you back an average of €65 per person. It's not a five-star rating because the off-menu items, which are very well listed verbally by the waitresses (excellent service, it must be said), are not clearly priced, and the bill is a total without itemization. These are somewhat annoying things that, in 2026, are to be avoided.

08/08/2026: Wonderful location, wonderful staff, polite, kind, and helpful, excellent food, super fresh fish, they also have meat and it's excellent quality!! A sweet and very pleasant family atmosphere, they even have super soft cotton hand towels that smell just like home, I love it, I'll definitely be back!!! Highly recommended!!!!

18/08/2026: Sofia. It was recommended to me, and I thank you. Excellent, the food isn't trattoria-style, but it's superior. You won't find the usual touristy dishes pulled from an industrial barrel. The dishes are few, but enough to offer a wide choice of meat and seafood. We chose: mussels in a stew, stuffed sardines, cod, grouper angles, and a homemade dessert. Good wine selection. Prices are perhaps a couple of euros more, but there's no cover charge. The staff is very helpful, and the place has only a few tables. Well done.

06/08/2026: We stopped for lunch with friends on Sunday, July 26th. The food was good and the service was average. The problem arose shortly after lunch. A friend of mine and I, who had both ordered tuna cooked with sesame seeds, began experiencing the same symptoms within about an hour: severe facial flushing, headache, and bouts of diarrhea. The symptoms were consistent with scombroid syndrome, a reaction that can occur especially with tuna when it hasn't been optimally preserved. We called the restaurant to report the incident, but the response was rather hasty and unhelpful: we were told, almost annoyed, that we were the only ones who had reported the problem. They didn't even apologize.

04/08/2026: I just had dinner at the restaurant with my boyfriend and I have nothing but wow to say. Fabulous food, very attentive, kind, and helpful staff. The menu is varied and excellent value. I can't wait to go back to try all the other dishes.

04/08/2026: After dining here three times, I can honestly say that Locanda Nelli is one of those places you always want to return to. The quality of the ingredients is evident from the first bite, but what really makes the difference is the skill with which they are enhanced. Each dish is carefully crafted, balanced, and conveys passion, experience, and a deep understanding of the ingredients. Special praise goes to the entire staff. It's rare to find such a knowledgeable team: each dish is explained with simplicity, expertise, and passion, making you appreciate what you're about to taste even more. Always attentive, never intrusive, with a genuine courtesy that makes you feel truly pampered. For me, Locanda Nelli is an example of what dining should be: quality, professionalism, organization, and people who do their work with evident passion. Sincere compliments to the entire staff. We will definitely be back.

01/08/2026: Very good focaccia, they have a wide variety of focaccias and they're always making new ones. I recommend the cheese-filled focaccia and the onion focaccia.

16/07/2026: My friends and I came in for a quick snack and left with 13 focaccias! They were spectacular, truly among the best we've ever had. I highly recommend it!

22/08/2026: A pleasant dinner with friends, discovering the typical flavors of Ligurian tradition in a welcoming and convivial atmosphere. The dishes offered fully respect the local gastronomic culture, resulting in flavorful and richly flavored dishes. From the most classic recipes to homemade pasta dishes, the quality of the ingredients is clearly evident on the palate. My only complaint concerns the balance of the seasonings: in several courses, I found a decidedly generous use of oil and onion, which, while giving the dishes a bold character, risks overshadowing the nuances of some ingredients and making digestion a bit more challenging.

22/08/2026: If you want to eat real Italian regional dishes, then you have come to the right place. We ate here on Friday evening, August 21, 2026, on the recommendation of our daughter. The food was so delicious and honest that we immediately booked a table again for Saturday evening, and we ate just as well as the first time. Highly recommended. Be sure to make a reservation!!

09/08/2026: We were delighted to have dined at Il Vecchio Cuoco! We received a very warm welcome from the owner, and the waitresses were also very friendly and attentive. We particularly enjoyed the seafood risotto, which was very flavorful and paired with an excellent Riesling. A truly wonderful restaurant that we highly recommend and where we will gladly return! 😊

24/05/2026: A true haven of peace, far from the hustle and bustle of the city center. The atmosphere is romantic and intimate, perfect for savoring cuisine that borders on perfection. The risotto della mare is pure enchantment: creamy, fragrant, and remarkably delicate. The homemade ravioli with sage and rosemary are an absolute delight, delicate and perfectly balanced. The appetizers immediately set the tone: • squid and cod served with tapenade toasts, • a succulent tuna tartare, impeccably fresh. Even the bread and focaccia deserve a mention for their deliciousness. The service is impeccable, attentive, and friendly, without ever being intrusive. An address well worth the detour, and one I recommend without hesitation. ---

26/01/2026: I had such a lovely two-night stay here. You can really tell the staff takes pride in caring for both the hotel and the property. They were incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful throughout my visit. My king room was cozy, spotless, and beautifully comfortable. The coffee was genuinely delicious. The fireplace being on all the time gave the whole place a warm, lodge vibe. I also really enjoyed sitting outside my room at the little table connected to it. Such a peaceful touch. I’d happily stay here again.
