I just had dinner at the restaurant with my boyfriend and I have nothing but wow to say. Fabulous food, very attentive, kind, and helpful staff. The menu is varied and excellent value. I can't wait to go back to try all the other dishes.

After dining here three times, I can honestly say that Locanda Nelli is one of those places you always want to return to. The quality of the ingredients is evident from the first bite, but what really makes the difference is the skill with which they are enhanced. Each dish is carefully crafted, balanced, and conveys passion, experience, and a deep understanding of the ingredients. Special praise goes to the entire staff. It's rare to find such a knowledgeable team: each dish is explained with simplicity, expertise, and passion, making you appreciate what you're about to taste even more. Always attentive, never intrusive, with a genuine courtesy that makes you feel truly pampered. For me, Locanda Nelli is an example of what dining should be: quality, professionalism, organization, and people who do their work with evident passion. Sincere compliments to the entire staff. I tried the paccheri with cacio e pepe cream, mussels, and lemon, followed by exquisite seared bonito: meticulously prepared dishes, with top-quality ingredients and truly sophisticated combinations. To top it off, a fresh and delicious apricot sorbet. My sincere thanks also to the dining room staff: the service was impeccable, attentive, and very attentive throughout the evening. Location: Located in the charming alleyways of Pietra Ligure, the restaurant offers an intimate, refined, and decidedly romantic atmosphere. ​Food: Very good dishes, prepared with top-quality ingredients. ​Service: The only disappointing aspect was the pace of the dining room. The waitresses, while friendly, were at times intrusive, tending to impose their opinions on the dinner menu. ​In summary: A beautiful evening with excellent cuisine, which would have been perfect with more relaxed and less pushy service. Definitely worth a try.

After reading the reviews and then eating there, we were a bit disappointed. The service was very hectic, even though the inside dining room was half-empty and the outside was packed. The food was good, but nothing special; considering it's a Michelin-starred restaurant, we expected a bit more. Some dishes lacked flavor, and the portions were decidedly small for the price. The ingredients, however, were excellent; the 3 stars are for that alone. We ordered two glasses of wine; one, alas, had lost its flavor, probably because it had been open for a while; definitely my fault for not mentioning it. The waitresses were friendly. If I returned to Pietra Ligure, I would definitely choose something else.
