21/08/2025: Quiet restaurant offering quality products. The salads and spaghetti Bolognese were fine for us in terms of quantity. The prices are a little high, but like everywhere else in Portofino (€118 for 4 people, main course, dessert, and drinks). Very welcoming. The service was very good. There were 8 of us and 2 small dogs.

19/08/2025: Avoid. My partner and I went for lunch. Fish not fresh? The people to our left ordered the fried fish mix we wanted, but when they arrived, there was a strong, unpleasant odor. The neighbors saw our disgusted faces and said, "Do we agree that it stinks?" The waiter brought them a second one after they complained, but the bad smell was still there. This ruined my partner's appetite, so we avoided the fish and seafood dishes. We still ordered a plate of trofie with pesto and a plate of tomato and mozzarella because we were hungry. It was okay, but not worth the price, and we didn't really enjoy eating our meal given the smell in the neighbors' faces. Service needs to be improved. Another negative point: when it came time to pay, the server took my partner's credit card from the table to pay the €61 (which didn't work because for more than €50, he needed the PIN) instead of handing us the terminal. We asked to split it in half, and he kept the card to pay the €30 without showing the amount first. In short, avoid it; it's better to pay more for good food or go to a bakery.

28/05/2025: El bar como el escenario perfecto frente a la entrada del puerto de Portofino. Este no es el lugar más barato, pero el ajuste compensa los precios. Tuvimos una buena selección de bocadillos servidos con un buen vino local, el servicio era excelente

21/03/2025: Ho accompagnato un amico americano a visitare Portofino. Ci siamo fermati casualmente: io non bevo vino ma il mio amico era intrigato dalla location. Mi hanno accontentata anche se sono astemia con un’ottima acqua tonica servita con un piattino a base di culatello, salame, formaggi, focaccia e una vista unica! Molto soddisfatto il mio amico che il giorno dopo è stato a Venezia e non ha trovato nulla di suo gradimento. Si era abituato bene! Molto garbato, gentile e discreto il servizio. Consiglio vivamente.

06/08/2025: Potessi metterei una valutazione ancora più alta di cinque pallini. E’ un ristorante fantastico con personale preparato ed accogliente. Sapori tradizionali, ma anche innovativi e pensati come il risotto al pesto e gamberi. Un classico i pacchetti e le trofie. La cotoletta un must anche se al mare! Tutto superbo dalla A alla Z!

02/08/2025: Ci sono stato diverse volte in quanto piace alla mia compagna. Per me come quello che ha preso il posto al Pitosforo con Portofino non ci azzeccano nulla nel modo piu assoluto. Sono dei brand ,fumo tanto arrosto molto poco. Piacciono a questa nuova tipologia di clientela......di burini. Fossero in grado di cucinare e,soprattutto pulire un pesce ai ferri sarebbe gia' qualcosa.

08/09/2025: Not recommended, extremely unfriendly, not very good food, and a very small portion for the price. Unfortunately, we didn't get a pizza at lunch at a pizzeria. We were charged an expensive flat rate for being the only table we weren't given water or bread, and unfortunately, we couldn't order them from the menu either, as the waiter said they weren't available at lunch.

11/09/2025: An excellent dinner with simple ingredients, beautifully prepared and presented! The atmosphere is refined, elegant, but not stuffy. The young chef Mattia Pecis and his team are excellent. The service was also excellent. Highly recommended!

16/09/2025: I advise the manager, or if you can call her that, to change her attitude toward customers. Her only advantage is that being in a touristy area, it's difficult to work with loyal customers. If she were to work in a small town bar, there would definitely be no one to work with her, given her rudeness.

15/09/2025: We ordered cappuccino and black coffee, they were both delicious, the tiramisu was also delicious, and the pistachio ice cream was very delicious.

20/06/2025: The restaurant has great food and great service!!! The place looks great but the only problem is it’s too packed up, I mean the tables are TOO close to each other.

20/06/2025: People complaining about the prices at Puny must think they’re in a beach shack somewhere in rural Italy—not in Portofino, one of the poshest places in the country. This isn’t your local pizzeria in a tiny village—it’s Puny, the iconic spot right on the harbor. Expecting a €10 pasta here is like walking into Chanel and asking for a discount on a handbag. I also assume those people haven’t been to places like St. Tropez, St. Moritz, Ibiza, or Mykonos—where prices are often MUCH higher. For where you are and what you get, I think it’s more than fair. The food? Classic Ligurian and seriously delicious. The staff? Super sharp and genuinely kind—we had a gluten-intolerant child with us, and they handled it with incredible care and attention. The owner is out-going and entertaining, and then there’s my favorite: Renato! So kind, and impressively fluent in many languages. I’ve personally seen Madonna, Diane von Fürstenberg and Jeff Bezos here. I have friends who stop with their boats in Portofino only to have lunch at Puny. This place is basically where celebrities and foodies casually enjoy their “Pappardelle Portofino.” If you want the real Portofino experience—amazing food, top-tier people-watching, and a taste of glam—Puny is the place. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly, casual dinner… this isn’t your spot. Simple as that. PS: If I could only give one advice: a few more healthy and interesting vegetarian options would be wonderful and very much appreciated!
