13/08/2024: Al di sopra delle aspettative. Assoluta qualità delle materie prime a partire dall'olio EVO ( NULLA ha a che fare con quello dal retrogusto rancido da riservare a motori da auto impiegato da buona parte dei ristoratori del territorio, come putroppo troppo spesso subìto da naso e stomaco con ricorso all'Enterogermina) passando "ovviamente" per quella del pesce, freschissimo al palato e nell'aspetto. Soutè di cozze e vongole con vere vongole (il peso del guscio lo ha confermato), spaghetto " a vongole" ricchissimo di mitili e correttamente mantecato con perfetta armonia tra gli ingredienti fondamentali; frittura mista paranza/calamari/gamberi leggera, fragrante e pulita al palato e all'olfatto, senza parti amidacee brune e/o sentori di esausto. Particolare menzione per la caponata di melanzane con Veri pinoli di buon calibro e Vera uvetta (seppur non la passolina, ma esistono in merito varie scuole di pensiero) che soprendentemente batte, e di una spanna, quelle permeate di soffritto di cipolla provate negli ultimi 10 anni presso svariati ristoranti nel siracusano. E chisseneimporta se siamo in un bar convertito a ristorante a venti centimetri dalla relativa pompa di benzina: qui si mangia bene, se è questo quel che cercate quando andate a mangiar fuori, con porzioni adeguate e conto proporzionato alla qualità delle pietanze. Nulla di regalato, ma comunque allineato ai tempi e alla media locale (il più delle volte del tutto ingiustificata): la spesa vale l'impresa, per mangiare Veramente Bene. Personale garbato e presente e proprietario attento, genuinamente partecipe e appassionato e consapevole dello standing di quanto offre. Fortemente consigliato.

The service was very fast, friendly and helpful staff in the room. As for food, there is a lot of choice, not just fish, but also vegetarian dishes and children's dishes. Prices and quantities are normal, but here it's worth it because I ate one of the best fried fish I've tried, tender on the inside and crunchy on the outside, not rubbery as many serve, then the Roman-style pizza, the very fine giant one and at times crunches, ours well stuffed with octopus and potatoes, very good. The fried starter is also very varied and delicious.

19/11/2023: Siamo stati in questo ristorante sfruttando lo sconto proposto con The Fork. Il menù è ricco e si articola su piatti di terra e di pesce. Tra i primi piatti, senz'altro, spiccano gli spaghetti al nero di seppia: squisiti, per non parlare dei secondi, su tutti i gamberoni al cognac su fondo di radicchio, davvero buoni. I dolci, tutti fatti in casa, sono assolutamente da provare. Servizio rapido e cordiale, locale accogliente, sconto The fork correttamente applicato. Torneremo a trovarvi!
