30/09/2025: Everything was truly excellent! The price is perfectly proportionate to the quality of the service and products. If I were to return to Anguillara, I would definitely stop by every time.

18/09/2025: The atmosphere was lovely and some of the staff members were very accommodating with us and our dog. Some were very warm and friendly and others were very indifferent. We ordered the fried calamari for appetizers. It tasted great but a bit too small in terms of portion size. For our main meals we had the mixed fried dish and the zucchini cream sun dried tomato burger. Both were delicious and the portion sizes were perfect, though the burger could’ve used a bit more flavor. It’s close to a Gelateria, for those who want a different dessert from what they offer. And there is a lovely waterside walk way for a nice stroll and a view. Overall it was a good experience.

27/09/2025: Yes, the food is good, but the service is truly terrible. There are no off-menu items (on a Saturday night), and most importantly, they don't have everything on the menu, so you're forced to choose from the few items listed. At 10:30, when you still have to finish dinner, they come and tell you the kitchen is about to close and to bring forward any desserts you want for later! It's absurd, they practically kick you out in a polite manner, and at 11:00 PM, the restaurant is empty! They have no choice of liqueurs or spirits! A real shame because the location is very beautiful!

20/09/2025: Walked in, alone, just after opening. Despite arriving without a reservation, was greeted warmly and was sat with a fantastic view of Lake bracciano. The staff were superbly accomodating of my very poor italian, and allowed me to ask them multiple questions between options on their menu. They recommended the linguine with the fish of the day, and provided a wine recommendation that worked wonderfully together. For dessert, I was recommended their fruit tart with white chocalate ganache. By far one of the best desserts I've had during my time in italy. As mentioned above, their service was superb. Behind me was seated a group of somewhat loud individuals, and while I didn't mind them at all, the way they were treating the staff seemed extremely rude. Despite this, the staff never showed any signs of being unsettled or annoyed. I rarely say this for any restaurant outside of my town of residence, but I would easily take a trip to the town of Anguillara for the sole purpose of dining at Chalet Del Lago again.

26/09/2025: A hotel near Rome, only a 3***, but I give it a very good review. It's so clean you could eat off the floor. A truly family-run business is becoming increasingly rare. Family photos of the people serving you adorn the dining room walls. True Italians won't let you leave hungry and will repeat whatever you ask. Meals are served by the family's eldest, his son, and his grandson (who looks about 15). No prohibitions, whining, or complaints, as is common in corporate behemoths. Highly recommended!

05/10/2025: We ended up here by chance. We were hesitant at first, but then we saw an extraordinary welcome. We gave it a chance, and were rewarded with the best food we've ever eaten. The fettuccine with lake perch was something I'll never forget. Intrigued, I asked about the chef, because things don't happen by chance or luck... He was Pope Francis' chef, so he's also Argentinian. My partner did too, and so we felt right at home. Highly recommended. We'll definitely be back.

29/09/2025: A very pleasant Sunday family lunch. The place is nice, a bit noisy from the traffic outside, but overall it's nice. Inside, it's still pleasant. The service was efficient, and the staff was courteous and professional (a young woman served us). We ate very well (seafood starters and mixed fried fish), though perhaps only the appetizer was average. The dessert was excellent (crumbled). Prices were absolutely in line, with no surprises. There's on-site parking. Edit: During our last lunch, there was a cat that, in addition to wandering around the dining room, was happily climbing on the tables without any staff intervening to keep it away. Besides being unhygienic, I consider it dangerous for those, like me, who are allergic. Absolutely intolerable.

14/09/2025: We've been to this restaurant/friggitoria in Anguillara twice now: the first time for a birthday, the second recently, and both times we had a wonderful time. It's an ideal choice for those who want to eat comfortably at a table or for those who prefer a bag of fried food to enjoy while strolling along the lake. When available, the lakeside location makes the experience even more charming. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and the dishes are well-presented and plentiful. Last time, we tried a crispy and dry fritto misto, truly delicious, and gnocchi with scampi cream, creamy and rich in flavor: both excellent. A place we definitely recommend, perfect for both a special occasion and a casual lunch or dinner with a lake view.

24/08/2025: What a wonderful change of pace after a long trip through Italy. A great selection, especially for vegetarians and children: wholesome, handmade, modular, practical, and delicious. And an extensive international beer and aperitivo menu. You sit comfortably in a courtyard enclosed on three sides, which opens onto a quiet parking lot—how beautiful would the world be without cars! The music is good, but could be a bit quieter. The fries are fried in fresh oil at a good temperature; an all-around great place with friendly people.

27/08/2025: I've eaten here many times. Given the good value, I returned yesterday after many months, and I wasn't happy. The quality has gone down, and the prices have gone up. I waited a long time (despite the restaurant not being crowded), and a starter was brought to the table about twenty minutes before the others. The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't up to par with other times. The staff apologized for the inconvenience, but frankly, given how the evening went, I expected more than just an apology. Perhaps it was just an unlucky evening, but that's not the way it should be.
