01/02/2026: Undoubtedly one of the best slow food restaurants I've ever seen. Kudos also to Moreno's friendliness and his son Fabio's mastery in the kitchen. Local, organic ingredients are expertly prepared and slow-cooked to enhance their flavors. Moreno expertly explains the menu and ingredients in the dining room, a poetic display that whets the appetite and enhances the value of the dishes.

31/01/2026: Much more than an osteria, I'd say it's a restaurant where you can eat and enjoy excellent dishes. All this is surrounded by a welcoming atmosphere.

31/01/2026: Dropped by for a business lunch. A first course: Venere rice with vegetables and shrimp. Delicious, and a truly generous portion. Followed by a mixed salad. Water and coffee. €20.00. Lots of choice, and definitely worth returning for. Highly recommend.

19/12/2025: I had Venere risotto with shrimp and vegetables. They brought me a small plate, "more than enough." There were too many vegetables for four people, and the shrimp were nonexistent, so I couldn't eat anything else. The price was moderate, but the food didn't seem high-quality.

23/08/2025: It wasn't our first time at Trattoria Al Boccolo in Castelfranco Veneto, and as always, the experience was a pleasant one. On our way to Valdobbiadene, we stopped for lunch and were greeted by Fabio, who, with his warmth and friendliness, created a truly family-like atmosphere. The restaurant is intimate and well-kept, with soft background music that accompanies the moment without disturbing. We were welcomed with a delicious entrée, then my daughter enjoyed a flavorful tagliatella with ragù, made with love and attention to detail. My wife and I chose the tagliata di Sorana: thin, tender slices, seasoned simply with Maldon salt and Lake Garda oil, accompanied by baked potatoes and pan-fried carrots, all from their own garden. The Ripasso della Valpolicella recommended by Fabio rounded out a lunch that confirms this trattoria as an unmissable stop.

03/01/2026: A beautiful old property. The pool (additional charge) is also accessible to non-hotel guests. It's about a 20-minute walk to the town center (through the grounds of the neighboring clinic). Unfortunately, we discovered that instead of the large, park-like grounds with beautiful fig trees, an ugly supermarket now obstructs the view. The pool, which resembles a public outdoor swimming pool, is very crowded, especially on summer weekends! If we stay again, it would only be for an overnight stop. Therefore, only three stars.

15/01/2026: The place is cute and quaint; I've been there many times, and it's pleasant in itself. However, in my opinion, the odor inside, which has always been a problem, has now become unbearable. There were three of us, and we all left smelling terribly of food. When paying at the register, next to where they warm the food, the air was unbreathable. It felt like fog. I understand the space may be "small" (but not that much, because the smell is very strong even in the back area), but the extractor hood above the counter was completely turned off. You can't go to a public place and find yourself having to wash all your clothes (including jackets). That's not acceptable to me personally. Furthermore, and this applies to all bars/restaurants, employees need to be "trained" to pay a little attention to how they wash glasses. It's not pleasant to find, as happened to me this time, a glass with 4-5 obvious lipstick marks. He doesn't make a great impression.

08/01/2026: There are three of us and we'd like to grab a few cicchetti and a good glass of wine. It's after 1:30 PM so there's room and they quickly serve us crostini, octopus, mozzarella in carrozza, quiche, and glasses of wine. Everything is delicious and appetizing. Coffee. €17 each. Good.

In the evening, the "look" changes and feels more intimate, while at lunchtime it remains a welcoming and warm place. Excellent dishes, beautifully crafted and made with quality ingredients. 07/12/2025: Today, December 7, 2025, we had dinner at Giglio restaurant. I must say we were truly satisfied with both the excellent pizzas and the service. The restaurant is welcoming and reasonably priced. I highly recommend it if you're in the area.

11/01/2026: The worst New Year's Eve dinner I've ever had with friends. Terrible food, terrible service. It was supposed to be a buffet (THEY DON'T KNOW THE MEANING OF THE WORD BUFFET), but we had to queue between the tables like we were in a cafeteria to get our only dish. In the end, not even a panettone to accompany the midnight toast. What's more, we had to pay upfront because (according to them) it was for organizational reasons.
