05/03/2024: I was with my wife over the weekend for dinner in this restaurant, we had a very good time, a very kind welcome, attentive staff ready to accommodate customer requests. The atmosphere is very good, relaxed, you feel at home, unfortunately I didn't take photos of the pizza or the other dishes, however those that are published correspond to the actual dishes which are very good. The place is very suitable for families with even small children. When we return to Cogne we would like to eat here again, thanks guys.
11/02/2024: Excellent cured meats. So-so cheese but it will depend on the fact that I asked for a mixed platter to be divided into 3, therefore a variation compared to the standard dishes. The Valle d'Aosta-style scallops are good, and the possibility of being able to choose the side dish is smart. Honest polenta tanning. It's a shame that today you can only have decaffeinated coffee. Price in line, given the tourist location.

11/10/2023: After a nice walk in the woods we arrived here just at lunch time. Even though we didn't have a reservation, they found us a table in the shade as we requested. We ate excellent food, typical local cuisine, with very generous portions. Very nice place with a wonderful view around. If we return on holiday to the area, we will definitely return to eat here.
10/10/2023: Very nice place. Ate very well, unfortunately in the cold. Among other things, they had also been asked to turn on the light, but nothing. Anyway the food is worth it.

17/03/2024: Ottima cena con piatti tipici. Festeggiati i 50 anni in famiglia con ottimi piatti tipici. Consigliatissimo per famiglie e coppie. Si respira l'aria del posto, sicuramente frequentato da turisti da sembra ancora di essere in una osteria. Ottimo cibo , il vino e la location.
04/03/2024: Location storica, cibo, cantina e servizio impeccabili, attenzione al cliente anche il più piccolo, piatti della tradizione curati, materie prime utilizzate davvero di con maestri, le migliori zuppe assaggiate in valle, primi piatti da urlo secondi accompagnati da polenta sublime.. Che dire se passate di lì dopo un treking una sciata una passeggiata invernale, fate una sosta ristoratrice in questo locale, caldo accogliente dove un sorriso vi accompagnerà..

We tasted: mountain salad, mocetta, fresh tagliolini with porcini mushrooms and an excellent polenta with sausage, finishing with the Cogne chocolate cream.
Mountain environment, very kind waitress, well done!!

27/02/2024: I live in an area where there are hundreds of pizzerias, both renowned and otherwise. I have eaten pizzas of all types and in many latitudes but Al Tarabas' pizza IS THE BEST.
Light, thin, tasty, cooked well...
The choice is varied and the beers are decent.
Don't ever change..!!

30/03/2024: Very suggestive wooden place, the ongoing snowfall has completed the atmosphere. We ate Aosta Valley polenta and risotto with bleu d'Aoste and pears, both delicious. Excellent prices. The owners, very kind, also offered a very welcome gift to the children at the end of the meal.

My wife and I will certainly return to this splendid place.

05/01/2024: Not a pleasant evening. The staff is numerous and efficient, but that is where its qualities end. Because for the rest...it's military, you have to order quickly and while eating they don't stop passing by to see if they can clear it up so they can move on quickly. If you're in a hurry, it's perfect!
We will have been served by 5 different people, without having the impression that we are dealing with real professionals. We were never asked if we wanted an aperitif, if we liked the meal, etc. It was less than the minimum. We speak French, of course, but we understand Italian very well and we speak English perfectly so don't let anyone tell us that it's a question of language...
The sleeper wants us to taste and serve red wine when we haven’t even started tasting the white as an aperitif! Again, no desire to make the moment pleasant for us and to create a more special bond than the one we would have in a fast food restaurant.
Too bad because the food was of good quality.

11/10/2023: panino al tomino, peperoni e acciughe in salsa verde semplicemente strepitoso. Peccato per l'ampio altarino dedicato a Mussolini e al fascismo. Per fortuna siamo in democrazia e non nel ventennio, quindi ognuno può esprimere le proprie idee, ma le opinioni politiche non dovrebbero essere ostentate in un locale pubblico. Non tornerò.

10/01/2024: Alla richiesta di latte vegetale o senza lattosio per un cappuccino ci è stato risposto che non ne avevano.
29/08/2023: Bar Pizzeria al centro di Cogne che consente l'accesso ai cani, che però devono rimanere per terra. Abbiamo ordinato maxi toast e pizza ai 4 formaggi, entrambi molto buoni. I prezzi tutto sommato un po' fuori media, ma esposti comunque al di fuori del locale così che uno possa valutare prima dell'ingresso. Personale tutto sommato gentile, anche se per la fretta di lasciare il posto ad altre persone ci sono stati levati i piatti davanti un po' troppo rapidamente.

31/08/2023: Ci siamo trovati a "pascolare" dalle parti di Valnontey...gruppo abbastanza numeroso di oltre una decina adulti e ragazzi/bambini...ora di pranzo passata...fame... Prede facili - purtroppo... siamo tutti tra residenti ed amici soggetti che abitano la Valle buona parte dell'anno...qualche toma e spezzatino l'abbiamo già mangiata e, se mangiamo bene, spendiamo senza ripensamenti... ma oggi no..la polenta se la lasci sullanstifa ormai spenta...indurisce..non la riprendi se non per farla grassa...invece i nostri ristorstori pensano bene di riaccendere il fuoco dando una sommaria scaldata e compongono delle palle di polenta dura, fredda..servita con toma (non male ma l'associazione con polenta fredda era abbastanza impegnativa) o con spezzatino, purtroppo abbastanza sfatto e carotoso - senza nessuna spinta se non le palette di ginepro.
Birra buona, prezzi che diventano troppo alti se rifili il fondo del pentolone...
Peccato - il posto è molto bello.

05/01/2024: Questa volta la cena era un po’ più sottotono rispetto al solito. In ogni caso si mangia bene ed i prezzi sono onesti. Sempre ottimo il loro yogurt ai frutti di bosco. Il locale è grazioso, il personale veloce nel servizio.
22/08/2023: Ristorante con vista meravigliosa,purtroppo però è l'unica nota positiva.Ordinato aperitivi e con servizio molto approssimativo ne hanno dimenticato uno che hanno prontamente portato dopo nostra richiesta.Aperitivi senza nemmeno una oliva o patatina mal vabbè abbiamo un bel panorama.Fatto ordinazione del pranzo e dopo lunga attesa hanno portato i contorni(insalatine) dimenticando gli arrosti.Due persone hanno ordinato prosciutto e gnocco di antipasto e tagliatelle arrivate dopo lunga attesa dimenticando gli antipasti.Alla nostra richiesta di spiegazioni è stato risposto che si trattava di un errore(ma va?)e che nel conto non avrebbero contato quello che non era arrivato!!!Per quanto riguarda quel poco che abbiamo mangiato devo dire che mai dico mai nella lunga vita di frequentatore di ristoranti ho trovato una qualità di cibo così scarsa e approssimativa(impossibile finire le tagliatelle.
Per il resto nessun commento:carne non pervenuta prosciutto non pervenuto gnocco non pervenuto.Per quanto riguarda il conto nessun commento per non offendere nessuno.A Cogne che frequento assiduamente da molti anni ci sono ottimi ristoranti(li conosco e frequentati tutti)dove ottimi professionisti del settore vi soddisfano in ogni vostra richiesta.Quindi il mio giudizio per questo ristorante è decisamente negativo si salva solo la vista panoramica,Cogne è un paese meraviglioso e se non volete rovinarvi la giornata scegliete un altro ristorante.
