05/02/2025: A stay in the Dolomites cannot be improvised, especially not in winter. Even if you plan ahead, it's almost impossible to find a cabin that's available during the Christmas season. Only two or three accommodations brave the cold season to accommodate the most intrepid - and that was us.
We had the privilege of staying at Hofer Alpl from December 26th to 29th and it was unthinkable that we would leave without a review of the experience as it exceeded anything we could have ever imagined.
Hofer Alpl is the essence of Alpine hospitality, where warmth and sophistication harmonize without pretentiousness. Here there are no excesses to distract from the raw charm of the mountains, but a perfect balance between comfort and authenticity. An oasis where you feel appropriately welcomed and respects the soul of the place.
The cuisine, rooted in local tradition, proves to be unexpectedly sophisticated. Each plate, generous and controlled, speaks elegantly of the region. The service, in turn, is of rare attentiveness and we would particularly like to thank Nora for her benevolence and tireless availability.
Prices are far from the extravagances one might fear and remain extremely fair given the quality of the experience. The team demonstrates remarkable flexibility, responding to the smallest needs without ever seeming to be doing too much.
And then there is the backdrop. Nature is sovereign and surrounds the hut with absolute silence.
12/01/2025: We only went for lunch and didn't stay overnight. Eating coleslaw with bacon and tagliatelle with ragout was very tasty. Very friendly staff. Can't say anything about the overnight stay and the room.

We really enjoyed being your guests, really enjoyed the 5 star service in all areas and would be happy to come back.

16/08/2024: A place where pure hospitality and friendliness still exists. We are so happy that we accidentally ended up at the Sesselschwaige. What warm and sweet people Elmar and Lydia are. From moment 1 we and our children felt welcome. Delicious food, which was largely prepared according to traditional methods.
In short, a true pearl in South Tyrol!

17/01/2025: We recently had the great pleasure of being hosted for the week around New Year's Eve together with my family and a couple of friends by this structure. Structure immersed in a wonderful park with frozen lake Fiè. The entire structure is very clean, the relaxation area overlooks the park. Excellent cuisine, rich breakfast and always plenty of choice and variety. Top chef. Everyone is always very smiling and welcoming. Judith the owner, very helpful and welcoming especially with my two furry friends (two mini toy poodles) who always allowed us to take them to breakfast and dinner in the carrier. Thank you for the beautiful torchlight procession after dinner around Lake Fiè, always guided by Judith with sweets and hot drinks on our return. A great emotion every evening in looking at a starry sky like we had never seen before. Upon returning to Rome 5 days after our departure from the hotel, I realized that I had forgotten a gold necklace with a pendant that I was very attached to, in the pocket of the bathrobe that I put on to go to the SPA, I immediately called the hotel, without much hope trying to see if she had been found. After an hour and a half Judith called me back telling me she had found her. Now my necklace is with me again and I thank all the staff from the bottom of my heart for their seriousness. A wonderful holiday, a highly recommended place. Thanks to Giovanna for her availability.

03/11/2024: The hotel is in a wonderful and idyllic location, near the Völser Weiher in the middle of the forest. We spent our hiking holiday here. You can walk straight from the hotel and reach numerous great hiking and excursion destinations from there. The modern wellness area offers plenty of space and comfort. The rooms are super comfortable, big enough, with a balcony and we even had a mountain view. Due to its somewhat remote location, it is incredibly quiet and perfect for relaxing. The staff was always friendly and helpful to us. Breakfast and dinner were fantastic and always very filling. We really enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to the next time!

22/10/2024: Ho avuto una piacevole esperienza! L'ambiente è davvero piacevole ed accogliente accompagnato da buon cibo, perfetto anche per le famiglie con bambini. Consiglio vivamente di visitarlo!
08/10/2024: Mi aspettavo di meglio. A parte vedere i cammelli e fare una faticata enorme per arrivare, pensavo di avere un ottimo menu. A parte le celestine in brodo e qualcos'altro di bolognese, non ho visto grandi cose altoatesine. Abbiamo preso una kaiserschlammer: buona ma non eccezionale. A 16 euro l'una. un quartino di vino che in altri ristoranti potevo prendere una bottiglia. Ma hanno ragione loro: tutto pieno. E' colpa nostra, dei turisti che ancora in ottobre occupano la regione.

05/01/2025: Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Abend im Restaurant Presulis. Das fing schon bei dem Ambiente an, der Speisesaal strahlt durch eine Mischung aus Holzelementen und modernen Details eine schicke Gemütlichkeit aus. Das Team und die Gastgeber sind super gastfreundlich und zuvorkommend, sodass wir und jederzeit perfekt betreut gefühlt haben.
Die Speisen waren allesamt richtig lecker und vor allem originell angerichtet. Alles hatte das gewisse Etwas. Unser kleines Highlight des Abends war das Sellerie-Steak. Wir waren erst skeptisch und dann überwältigt, wie viel Geschmack in einem Sellerie-Steak stecken kann. Auch die Neuinterpretation des Strudels kriegt die volle Punktzahl. Danke für die tolle Zeit!

18/03/2024: Il miglior locale per mangiare specialita´ dell'Alto Adige Südtirol in un ambiente incantevole curato in ogni minimo dettaglio. I piatti sono anch'essi curatessimi,non solo di ottima qualita´ma rivisti con sensibilita´in chiave moderna. La signora Martha gentilissima completa la vasta scelta di vini.
24/02/2024: Un posto speciale, ce ne si accorge appena entrati. Cibo veramente eccezionale, atmosfera bellissima. È vero che il menù è raccontato più che letto, ma è stato un piacere farsi consigliare. Mi spiace solo per i piatti che non ho assaggiato.

21/07/2024: Dopo un precedente soggiorno invernale per visitare i Mercatini di Bolzano, siamo tornati in questo bellissimo maso per una settimana estiva. La struttura è molto curata e gli appartamenti stupendi e attrezzati con tutto quello che può servire anche per una famiglia numerosa. La pulizia della struttura è impeccabile e gli ospiti gentilissimi e sempre disponibili a fornire buoni consigli per escursioni in zona. Nel caso non si usufruisca della mezza pensione, comunque ogni mattina avrete la sorpresa di ottimo pane fresco direttamente sulla porta dell'appartamento. La location è perfetta: tranquilla e fresca, ma comodissima per esplorare l'altopiano dello Sciliar, l'alpe di Siusi, ma anche per una gita in Val Gardena o in Val di Fassa. Bolzano è vicinissima e anche Bressanone e Ortisei sono a portata di mano. Per i bambini sempre a disposizione un bel tavolo da ping pong e un calcetto, oltre al piccolo parco giochi e alla magia degli animali del maso: mucche, pecore, conigli e galline...Struttura veramente ottima! Noi torneremo sicuramente!!!

29/10/2023: Locale molto bello, tipico con un tocco do moderno. Qualità del cibo è molto buona, di ottima fattura, con sapori molto decisi. Prezzi giusti. Si gode anche di una bella vista panoramica. Servizio molto cordiale e disponibile.
