Very friendly, quick service and good food. Great view.

Dopo una piacevole camminata (febbraio) partita dai laghetti di Fie, passati dalla Tuf e proseguiti attraverso un boschetto siamo arrivati alla Hofer con la curiosità della prima volta. Panorama notevole, pietanze molto buone e ben presentate, cortesia e attenzione. Il locale internamente è stato ben ristrutturato, in estate immagino quanto possa essere piacevole mangiare all’aperto. Ritorneremo

Hofer Alm, Ums - Schlern-Rosengarten Nature Park. We chose the e-bike to reach the Hofer Alm. About Ums.. the old road - approx. 400 meters in altitude on gravel - which was not entirely without problems, as the gutters across the road are very wide. Going down was almost slower because we could only drive slowly on the gravel because of our touring bikes and the relatively narrow tires - bikes with wider tires are probably better suited. But whatever - the effort and concentration was worth it. The food and hospitality at the Hofer Alm was great!! The furnishings represent a mixture of originality and modernity - a successful combination. But the absolute highlight is the gigantic view from the sun terrace. You have a great view of the mountains of the Dolomites. Down into the valley you can see as far as Ums, Prösels Castle and Völs... even down to the Brenner motorway - really impressive. The Hofer Alm is more relaxed than other alpine pastures - perhaps that is part of the charm of this place.
