09/02/2025: I never expected to find such a particular restaurant in a historic village of medieval origin in Asciano. The visible embers and the cut of the meat in show cooking as well as the cold cuts and cheese platters make everything very instagrammable, but I would have expected Tuscan meat and not German one like the one I ate (Simmental) with TAGLIO Fiorentina, therefore not a REAL Fiorentina. All in all we ate well but the price was too high, around €100 per person for 2 appetizers, 1 simmental (meat) cut Fiorentina 1kg and around €300 for a potato and radicchio as a side dish and a €35 wine
Ps we recommend arriving by 12.30pm max 1.00pm they close early on Sundays for lunch.

09/02/2025: Simple but tasty restaurant. In a small square, in the sun, of this small town perched on a cliff, in a splendid area. Beautiful view. Excellent pici all'aglione. Honest price. For me it's YES!!

If you pass through Asciano, I recommend going!
05/11/2024: Tuscan cuisine but also really delicious pizza!!! 🤤 We tried ribollita and first courses (pumpkin gnocchi recommended) but also the appetizers, especially to try the Mencia fantasy.
And then a beautiful location in the historic center of Asciano

29/01/2025: The place is a combination of many food items, bars and pizzerias. The manager is very friendly and nice. In the window there is a large choice of desserts from tarts to Nutella pizza. Good assortment of cooked stuffing, sausage but also with truffles and margherita pizza. Normal coffee and honest prices. If you are in the area it is worth a stop for a snack.

08/10/2024: Siamo stati domenica 6 ottobre in questa osteria che benché sia un po' datata offre una splendida vista sulle Crete senesi. Il personale è gentilissimo e i prezzi veramente molto onesti. Forse non c è molta scelta ma trattandosi di un osteria credo che sia prevedibile. Noi siamo stati veramente bene e i tempi di attesa non sono stati neanche lunghi. Lo consiglio.

28/11/2024: The first impact was a bit peculiar. Not very welcoming host, difficult to understand environment: tables quite close to each other, TVs on. A somewhat particular service with some flaws (for example a second course "forgotten" and brought after 15 minutes).
The dishes however were good. The pici are excellent

30/09/2024: Atmosfera e arredamento più da trattoria che da ristorante ma invece la cucina è da vero ristorante toscano con proposte legate alla tradizione con grandi sapori e qualità dei prodotti. Cantina buona ma da migliorare nell'offerta. Frequentato sia da indigeni sia da turisti.
20/08/2024: Se recomienda reservar. El servicio es proporcionado por el gerente y dos camareras, la camarera con el cabello castaño rizado estaba muy ocupada con ella misma y sus amigos ... Comimos en la terraza exterior y elegimos platos locales y un vino local. No está mal, pero tampoco es genial.

30/08/2023: Posto sorprendente. Si pranza in terrazza davanti a un paesaggio stupendo. Nel verde l’Abbazia di Monteoliveto Maggiore.
Accoglienza trionfale. Bellezza e gentilezza.
Arriva il padellone con i pici all’aglione. Ottimi e abbondanti.
Anche gli affettati i salumi e formaggi meritano.
Un dolce e in caffè. Bel pranzo.
