08/03/2026: We stopped for a break during our visit to this beautiful village. The experience was more than pleasant. A well-kept and elegant location in a historic building. The staff were knowledgeable and very professional, the food was excellent and beautifully presented. Special attention was paid to specific needs: I found good and tasty gluten-free options. Must-trys: poached egg in potato sauce with truffle shavings and the wild pig with stracchino and gin salad. Finally, I'd like to point out the good quality/price ratio. I don't have photos so as not to spoil the surprise.

21/01/2026: A fantastic osteria. Very friendly and attentive staff. Excellent wine and food. The wine was great too. If we come back to Pitigliano, we'll definitely eat there again.

The Tuscia of Viterbo meets that of Grosseto, in the Maremma that still offers glimpses of genuine beauty, anchored in a past that here brings back memories filled with nostalgia for what once was and now, especially elsewhere, is no more.... Among bleating sheep and grazing cows, the road from Farnese to Pitigliano, crossing the marvelous Selva del Lamone, will lead you to this hosteria, inviting you to a solitary break in the middle of nowhere that couldn't be more beautiful! Inside, you'll find about twenty seats, but above all, you'll find an amazing woman, Silvia, who still refers to herself as "the daughter" out of loving respect for the work her parents did, who created this place a few decades ago. Today, however, Silvia has become the true hostess and will be the one to guide you every step of the way, as befits a place that makes substance at the right price its strong point! The menu is simple enough to not waste too much time choosing, but it's full of surprises for the palate, and from the faces of those who filled the entire room today (Sunday lunch), I can assure you that my partner's and my satisfaction was widely shared by everyone at the other tables. Highly recommended, from appetizers to desserts, and remember, everything is homemade, as befits a true "Hosteria"!

Now her legacy has continued by the efforts of her son and daughter, Paolo and Lolita and for nearly 40 years, with their children, the third generation, helping during those busy summer days. . Two, a place for the new members of the community from England and elsewhere, who now call the Abruzzo region as their home, to be welcomed into the community, enjoy the humble, real and authentic hospitality of this Italian family run cafe. A highlight of this place is not only its peaceful surroundings where life slowly passes by, with locals sharing funny jokes, the old boys playing bocce or youth kicking a ball around, it's the view of the surrounding mountains and rolling hills of olive trees and grapevines. Beautiful. The only thing unusual about this place is Paolo's love for his beloved Inter Milan club, which I feared to let him know I support Juventus. But no matter who you support, he and his sister welcome you with open arms and an intoxicating Italian passion. We opted for a meat-based menu: my wife had the tasty and well-seasoned pappardelle with wild boar, while I chose a rosemary-sautéed veal steak accompanied by sautéed chicory, all cooked to perfection. ​The restaurant's highlights: ​Impeccable service: the young man who served us was extremely kind and professional, making us feel immediately at ease. ​Value for money: We spent €42 for two, a very reasonable price considering the quality of the ingredients and the service we received. ​We will definitely be back, perhaps to try the pizza! Highly recommended.
