Hosteria di Pantalla In Pitigliano

A true "hosteria" nestled in the heart of Tuscia. The Tuscia of Viterbo meets that of Grosseto, in the Maremma that still offers glimpses of genuine beauty, anchored in a past that here brings back memories filled with nostalgia for what once was and now, especially elsewhere, is no more.... Among bleating sheep and grazing cows, the road from Farnese to Pitigliano, crossing the marvelous Selva del Lamone, will lead you to this hosteria, inviting you to a solitary break in the middle of nowhere that couldn't be more beautiful! Inside, you'll find about twenty seats, but above all, you'll find an amazing woman, Silvia, who still refers to herself as "the daughter" out of loving respect for the work her parents did, who created this place a few decades ago. Today, however, Silvia has become the true hostess and will be the one to guide you every step of the way, as befits a place that makes substance at the right price its strong point! The menu is simple enough to not waste too much time choosing, but it's full of surprises for the palate, and from the faces of those who filled the entire room today (Sunday lunch), I can assure you that my partner's and my satisfaction was widely shared by everyone at the other tables. Highly recommended, from appetizers to desserts, and remember, everything is homemade, as befits a true "Hosteria"!

A surprise, excellent food, pleasant atmosphere 😀

A small, family-run restaurant. Just a few tables in a quiet, comfortable atmosphere. The ingredients are excellent, expertly prepared according to local tradition. Kudos to the owner, a true host who knows how to offer genuine advice.

Typical local cuisine, excellent food, family atmosphere. But the best part is the host (pictured). Definitely worth returning.

Everything was exceptional. The tagliata was very good, both the one with truffle and the one with garlic and rosemary. The owner was very kind.
