Competent, fast and always smiling staff. Food that truly deserves its simplicity and extreme goodness.
The highlight for me..... THE CAKE!.
19/07/2024: Only open for lunch, not big either but delicious pastas. Mainly locals, that already indicates that it is good.

14/08/2024: Dunk.....WOW! Top quality products to fill them....we have the schiacciata with mortadella but a real quality mortadella, one stuffed with mushrooms (the good, quality ones and NOT the ones in oil) and a nice piece of pizza. ... What can I say... we have already decided that we will drive a couple of hours again just to eat with you again because it is absolutely worth it

21/07/2024: I don't understand why a historic inn and dairy should use the Fabbri preparation for ice cream. Obviously, there are reasons of costs, processing times, storage times but it no longer makes sense. Do less and better!
21/07/2024: Non capisco il motivo per il quale una locanda e latteria storica debba fare ricorso al preparato Fabbri per il gelato. Ovvio, ci sono ragioni di costi, tempi di lavorazione, tempi di conservazione ma non ha più senso. Fare meno e meglio!

16/08/2024: Stop everyone! Passo della Consum, Hotel Miramonti: we had dinner in this historic hotel: we were struck by the very high quality of the food served, all freshly prepared and homemade!!! Excellent dinner not to be missed for any reason, very good prices, very kind staff!!! Don't forget!!!
15/08/2024: I went to this restaurant with my family on August 15th. When booking we were not informed that there would be a fixed menu lunch at €45 per person (insane price for the food we were given). We waited more than 40 minutes to have a bottle of water at the table and lunch did not start until all the reserved tables had been occupied. We waited an hour and a half before having the appetizer which consisted of a trio of croutons (tomatoes, mushrooms and livers) and cold cuts. The first, served in a single dish, consisted of lasagna Bolognese and ravioli with butter and sage which was quite edible. The plus came with the second course, after we had been asked three times what we had chosen between pork loin and braised meat, they brought them with the inedible side puree (probably already prepared in the bag as it had undissolved lumps and the flavor was non-existent ). We actually waited more than a quarter of an hour at the bar to get the coffee. I'm sorry but I don't think I'll ever return to this place.

24/08/2023: Yet another "family" management of a very traditional place, in an equally traditional destination for Sunday trips out of town for many Florentines. The "period" location has gone through the decades almost without changes (and this is not a criticism!) and remains just off the SR 70, a good km before the center of Consuma, in the quiet town of Poggio alla Ginestra, also good for walks and picnics.
Traditional and very limited menu, decent to good value for money. Personally, I found the starters (and side dishes!) a little too expensive compared to the first and second courses, but the quality of the cured meats and cheeses on offer seemed very good.
If you are passing through and don't feel like queuing for the local cold cuts and flatbreads, it can be a pleasant and relaxing alternative.

18/12/2023: Siamo staieri 17 dicembre per una cresima. Posto molto carino,ci hanno fatto trovare una saletta (veranda)tutta per noi,il cibo buono,personale attento e cortese. Da ritornarci. Bravi.
06/11/2023: Visiting the area out of season we had not been advised by our hotel that their restaurant was closed. They recommended Leonia Bistrot and we could not have been happier. Ate there every evening so sampled a wide range of dishes on the menu - every one was delicious. The staff were lovely and delivered service with a warm smile. This is clearly a focal point for the locals as the bar and restaurant were busy every night. If you are in the area do visit - you will not be disappointed.

26/11/2023: Mi e' stata regalata una visita da Peter in Florence ma non sono mai riuscito ad utilizzare il ticket per la scarsissima disponibilita di orari e la totale mancanza di flessibilita da parte del personale. Un gran peccato. Sconsiglio assokutamente l'acquisto di esperienze simili
25/08/2023: Ho soggiornato in questa struttura 3 giorni con la mia famiglia , esperienza da dimenticare camere senza aria condizionata sembrava di dormire in un forno, ( tre notti avrò riposato 3 ore) frigo in camera assente come anche la TV , alle 23.00 rientriamo da una cena volevamo bere un cocktail ma alla reception come al bar non c'era nessuno ad aspettarci,l unica nota positiva era la colazione buona e con diversi prodotti però è poco per una struttura di quelle dimensioni. Purtroppo hanno tanto da fare per farla diventare una struttura di livello!!!!!
